My lazy backside made something and I'm a little proud of myself (really unproductive months, I literally did nothing the whole time and feel a lot of guilt).

I did this piece before my escapism phase. I thought it was time for me to try a new brush and it works in more traditional way (my academic years, here you go, I never had enough time to really learn it bc it was never an acceptable time for any learning, honestly) so it's good for my fossilized skills.

I'm currently going through a winter melancholy with a deep escapism in Merlin fanfics (the reason why I still wake up in the morning, haha). I'm doing my best not to think about the future and other unpleasant things, and it's paralyzing me from drawing even for myself (my oldest hobby, for me it's truly the last loss of myself), because I feel a wild fear of any action and exhaustion from the very thought. Also there are nightmares. The next day they become ludicrous (still a little creepy), even though at that moment they aren't. I'm used to these episodes of apathy but they always come unexpectedly. I hope it won't take too long this time.

I find the concept interesting, the writing of his story, and his interactions with the other characters on a plot level, but he just annoys me as a person. I mean, not the type of character I like.

Favorite Ed and Mustang scene? Mine is definitely the scene where Ed was worried about Mustang being consumed by his hatred and thanks to the combined efforts of him, Hawkeye, and Scar they were able to save Mustang from being consumed by his own hatred. Such a Great Scene🔥

ohhh I know I know! Scar's first attack on Ed when he destroyed his arm. And Roy came in like "GET your hands OFF my gremlin SON!". And then you know what happened ... Helpless Roy is such a fool.

But I don't really remember all the fma scenes very well (especially from 2003) so guess I should rewatch it somehow. Fma03 is a masterpiece I believe.

I've sobbed myself to death for the past week because I've been diving into Merlin fanfics and it just breaks my heart into a million little pieces of glass. And edits on tt. I'm done. This story is so funny but more than that it is so tragic. It's so unfair. So cruel. Well done, though (sobbing).

Ugh, I love returning to my favorite fandoms every now and then to destroy my newly healed heart.

10. how do you deal with artblock?

I don't. I go to the very bottom and break it from the other side. Than I'm a free man again.

If seriously, I just give myself time if i can. Without pressure. If possible. I remind myself why I've loved it and why it feels forced now. Most often it's due to the loss of the initial goal, why I was engaged in this. Like losing your bearings.

I forget that being the best is not my goal, doing the most is not my goal, knowing everything is not my goal, being perfect is not my goal. It's nice to get it, but it's not the goal. That's not the reason I do it. So, just take the time to remember why it's still worth it.

Sometimes the last songs added but for me what works better is some tvshow in the background like CSI, l&o, like something crime or just rewatching (rather re-listening) my fav shows/old movies. If I get really focused, I turn everything off and work in silence.

34. whats smth you still like from your old art?

Compositing and solid texture. But it was too simple and lacked an interesting idea or plot, so yeah. I'm still getting the hang of it. Get the plot but lose the picture. Get the picture, lose the plot. Sometimes. Makes sense?
