Oh, the summoner is quick to throw his arm around the troubadour's shoulder, hauling him closer in an awkward sort of hug with a smile spread wide on his lips. "Welcome to the Order of Heroes," He speaks up, a laugh following his words at just uttering the group's name, "Though, don't let it fool you. Not all of us are heroes," And his grin wides, nose wrinkling slightly before he's pulling away to slip around to the man's front, holding his arms out stretched. "Name's Isaak. I called you here."
The leather of his glove protests when he clenches the reins in his hands. As stubborn as the stallion could be, the horse got the hint and stayed still, hiking his head up to keep Fraust from rocking too much from the Summoner’s. Generous welcome.
“Called?” He muttered around a burning cigar with a raised brow, almost as if the word itself was foreign. There was no swift movement, no urgency when Fraust reached and bunched Isaak’s shirt, keeping him in place while he allowed the reins to slip from his hand.
The embers brightened as he took a drag, plucking the cigar from his lips.
“Parading around as a ‘hero’... Being welcomed as if you sent an invitation... Did you think summoning me would allow you to have me obediently submit?” A heavy stream of smoke glided through the air as he breathed it out, tired of talking with puffs escaping. His eyes stared, dull as ever at the Summoner.
“... Get in my way again, and you will regret having ‘called’ me.”

mraganam:
i figured as much! i mean suede wouldnt even go after the singers and dancers bc hes more focused on the city if anything. hed rather let them go free than have to kill any more innocents bc hes forced to do that constantly in garons care, hes forced to execute people and if he doesnt theres the threat of him dying himself and hed rather live than die such a fucked death.
i wouldnt be surprised if he took one look at the staff and he backs up in a cower, tail between his legs and its so pitiful to see him like that but uh life at the great castle of nohr is Not So Peachy. and suede wants out but what can you do
...
you know we can arrange something to happen wink wink

honestly that’s the best way to go
fraust has a lot of connections in regards to dangers and singers, since he owns a few himself (some are more or less actual workers while other ones it’s like how he has aslade or fleece)
so if suede was ordered to hunt down performers, don’t be surprised if fraust intervenes in some way and with his staff in hand too
ruodabuort replied to your post: sometimes i think abt what would happen if suede…
vibrates
i mean i think the only way suede would probably meet fraust at that point is when garon goes to the opera house in cyrkensia bc suede is. meant to be a guard dog as much as war machine. i wouldnt be surprised if ( since garon issued the hunt of the dancers / singers ) when suede was sent out himself, he wandered the streets instead and ran into fraust that way.
hed be apologetic because thats a noble he doesnt have a right to be snippy ( he knows what happens when he gets sharp tongued )
but it makes me curious as to how that would all go because suede doesnt ever get to leave the castle save for that one time and / or if he gets to told to follow kamui ( and ultimately get ordered to kill them but this is suede and hed be more focused on the fact hes out of the castle than anything and pretty much a ‘fuck you’ cause he wouldnt kill kamui )

writing fraust is easily one of the most
bizarre experiences
a lot of the time when i write muses there’s a lot of hidden meanings and shit to the character’s responses and reasons that they do things whether it was what the situation called for or past experiences
regiss was a damn good example of that
but fraust is
he best way i can explain it is take how suede and fraust’s relationship is
suede thinks the world of fraust and has assumptions of the things he does like the times where he ran away when he was younger and fraust always found him and brought him back home was taken as ‘he didn’t want to waste his money’ initially but eventually became ‘he was worried’ because fraust made it obvious he didn’t really care about the money that went into getting the pup in the first place
that and between how he was treated and pretty much allowed to do as he pleases but still kept on a leash of reason. yeah
but in reality fraust got suede because ‘he felt like it’ and nothing really more than that. he just found it convenient that suede doubled as a bodyguard when it came to when suede would take off, he’d literally wait hours until he figured suede was exhausted and had his fill of adventure to go and find him because ‘it’s time to drag him home’
even with how straightfoward he can be, it’s ridiculously easy for even me and others to wonder if there’s something more to the reason why fraust does the things he does because the reasons he gives are too simple, too obvious or just seem like there’s more to the story than he’s letting on

real talk though
you can tell that fraust doesn’t mind your company if you can snatch the cigar out of his mouth to smoke it yourself and let you keep it
#niles steals his cigar#fraust: ... let me know if you want more of that kind and i'll make sure to grab an extra bunch next time

“… I’m tired, dear Fraust, that’s all,” Not entirely a lie but not the whole truth either. Something he doesn’t plan on fixing as he shifts and presses his forehead to the troubadour’s shoulder, “Haha– don’t sound so worried about me.”
“This sorry state of yours, it’s been going on for a while now... I’m growing tired of it.”
Still, Fraust didn’t move away. There was no sense in doing so, so there was no need to be bothered taking a few steps.
“Lie to me again, see where it gets you. Spit it out. Now.”

glorylived replied to your post: Lucien's just going to drape himself over Fraust's...
He says nothing for a moment, lifting his head from the man’s shoulder to give him a glance with violet eyes. A soft sigh is made through his nose, eyes falling closed as he rests his chin on Fraust’s shoulder. “Does it bother you?”
“It’s unsightly....” He grumbled, not once looking at Lucien. It was bothersome dealing with him, sure, but this state the mage was in was even more so.
“Spit it out.”

Lucien's just going to drape himself over Fraust's shoulders. There's no quip from him today. He's kind of tired really. And he missed Fraust. He wants a hug.
He has good timing, it seems. After extensive trips, the travel and business of it all takes a heavy toll on him. It was too much effort to be bothered or throw the man off, even if he was a little heavy.
“... You’re quiet.”
