It's the internet's millennial mom back here again with an extremely unpopular opinion that I need you all to internalize:
There are no food rules, ESPECIALLY when you're just feeding yourself.
The internet (and specifically TikTok, Pinterest, etc) has become obsessed with beautifully plated meals that follow certain conventions. It's all bullshit.
Crack your pasta in half before you put in the pot. Put BBQ sauce on your salad. Do whatever the hell you need to do to get nutrients into your body. The only rule is you need to eat.

one of my favorite parts of Phineas and Ferb is how often Perry is sleeping in Candace's bed.
She's always like ew! the platypus!! while Perry is like chilling with my favorite Candace!! #myCandace :)

Racism is a value born from your environment that you need to go through fire to get it out of you. There's no "I've stopped being racist" phase. There's only "I need to get it beaten out of me everyday" phase. It's a process that will never stop, shouldn't stop until we die.

forever grateful i was simply too lazy to let the makeup industrial complex get its hooks in me. I was just like im not doing all of that. in fact. im doing none of that
#for me it was a texture issue#make up makes me want to claw off my skin#and I'm allergic to most of it#but nothing makes you political about something quite like people becoming outraged over something stupid#people were offended I didn't want to wear it and made it into an entire thing#so of course I joined the side of fighting for people to be able to exist naturally in peace

Chris Appelhans:
In Maggie’s original mission for the movie that I definitely connected to, there’s this idea of presenting women that were badass, super beautiful, and glamorous. But also weird and funny, food-loving, and silly and wearing their pajama pants. That’s the thing where I’m like, “God, this is so long overdue!” We just kept trying to make them kind of fabulous and amazing, but also human and silly and flawed.

I find it hard to participate in any discourse around JoJo Siwa because I just think her childhood should have been illegal.

A fucking womb transplant, what an incredible thing. Fair play to all involved. A positive news story amidst all the dire shite.

i do enjoy "living weapon" characters but specifically living weapons who did in fact do absolutely horrific things which at least a part of them enjoyed and thought was good and right at the time, and that no amount of not knowing any better or guilt they feel in hindsight will ever make up for. i love living weapons who are "irredeemable", and no it's not their fault that they were made that way or pointed in the directions they were by the hand that wielded them, and yes they are victims, but so were their victims. living weapons who some people will never be able to forgive, but who still wake up every day and try to do better than what's expected of them. a sword that uses its blade to cut wheat to make bread for the people who once lived in fear of its arc falling on their heads.

FINALLY got around to dumping Spotify after their CEO continued to prove he's a fresh turd. (As if being a billionaire, not paying musicians, shoving AI garbage at us, and having an atrocious carbon footprint wasn't bad enough, he's now the chair of a AI-based weapons manufacturing company.)
I used TuneMyMusic ($24 annual fee you can cancel immediately, effectively paying only once) to transfer almost every single song from our Spotify account to Tidal. Tidal already has much better sound quality and they pay their artists much better. It migrated over 99% of our music, too, so there wasn't a huge loss.
#I still just rip shit from YouTube because I don't have reliable Internet#but I'm boosting this because I know a lot of people are looking for a Spotify substitute

Betrayed and backstabbed by your scheming evil advisor? Psch. Skill issue. Absolute amateur problem. Just hire two of them and reward them for snitching on each other. Just make sure that neither of them is gay or they'll just end up hate-fucking each other and fucking you over all the same.

Ngl I really thought that Bobby's arc was going to revolve around being the under-appreciated manager, especially when the girls ran off to fight the demons on the train. Throughout the film he's being almost kind of seduced by the Saja Boys' content, and I was just waiting for the inevitable moment where he snapped and had enough of the girls because they 'didn't appreciate' all the work he put in (as a result of miscommunication due to him not knowing about the demon stuff).
Only it never happened. When Gwi-ma gets his hooks into Bobby, its not with promises of fame and riches and appreciation, its with his fear that he's failed the girls somehow. When he calls them his girls, it's not in a possessive meal ticket fashion, they're HIS girls who he genuinely wants the best for, and when Zoey and Mira seemingly turn on Rumi, his heart breaks for them. This wasn't supposed to happen, he was supposed to take care of them and help them be at their best, yet he's clearly missed something huge and the girls suffered for it.
It was just refreshing to see a manager character that genuinely cared about the people he was representing and felt emotionally responsible for them as well as professionally. He definitely deserved that exclusive resort holiday 💜

When I first started taking diabetes meds I constantly felt like my blood sugar was low and I insisted on getting a blood sugar monitor to test this and it turned out the meds were just bringing my sugar levels down to what they ought to be and I was just so used to having high blood sugar I thought it was low and eventually I got used to it and I guess what I’m saying is that getting healthier sometimes feels scary and unnatural in the beginning stages but you get past that part eventually

there's something to be said about movies like kpop demon hunters, turning red, encanto, over the moon, and sinners, which combine music and cultural specificity into engaging storytelling. you don't need to just take "inspiration" from a culture. you can tell a specific story about it that everyone will be able to relate to even if they are unfamiliar with the specifics, because there are human elements we can all relate to in well-told stories.

“[kink] is bad because [thing the kink is based on] is bad” is such a funny take. we’re acting. you hate theater. you’re standing up in the audience and mansplaining to lady macbeth that killing people is wrong
