I'm currently too busy to properly plan things out, but consider this an interest check - in the case that it goes ahead, signups would be opening around July-early August, and the posting period would be around December.

my submission for the @rubyredfortbigbang !!! the untamed au (sort of) (not really) (don’t worry if you don’t know what the untamed is, this is really nothing like it) featuring necromancer!ruby, exhausted dad!hitch, sort-of-dead-but-not-really!clancy, chaotic magical engineer!blacker, and more! 

chapters will be released every few days until we’re all done, so let me know what you think! it’s a bit of a long and strange one, but hey, at least it’s happening!

chapter one of @laniidae-passerine​‘s @rubyredfortbigbang fic, this is the debt i pay, is up!! it’s an absolutely incredible canondivergent hitch-centric AU with quite literally some of the best worldbuilding I’ve ever seen in this fandom, and it was a delight to draw the art for it - which will be going up as the chapters are posted, since I did a bunch of chapter headers

POSTING DATES!

Under the cut are the initial posting dates for the Ruby Redfort Big Bang. The date indicated are only the date when you have to post the first part of your story/artwork. The rest can be staggered out over the rest of the month/into january as you see fit (or you can just put it all up at once, it’s up to you), as long as it’s all up by february next year. 

If you’re posting to AO3, consider adding your story to the Big Bang Collection!

After I’ve got all of the responses (and know what dates you’ll be ready to post on) I’ll release a list of dates so you know when you’re good to post. Everybody will have a set of seven days that they can post their art/stories in - they can either stagger it out over those days, or put it up all at once, it’s really up to them! Contact your artist/writer pairings! You can do this over Tumblr messaging or via Discord (if you’ve seen them hanging around on the server), or… I can’t think of another way you could do it. Either way. Get in touch! Get talking

If you’re a writer - share as much as you’re comfortable with sharing with your artist! This could be just everything you’ve written so far, or your first draft as well as a summary, or whatever else you have. Try to give them as much information as possible.

Also, you might want to think about getting a beta reader! It’s always nice to have your story edited. Asking around on the Discord might be a good place to find one, if you’re interested. 

If you’re an artist - read what your writer’s sent you, and let them know what you’re planning on drawing! And also get drawing, or moodboarding, or playlisting, or whatever you have in mind.

If you have any questions at all, the ask box’s always open. 

November 1 is when the second writer/artist checkins open up! This isn’t so much a ‘you need to prepare for this’ thing as just a reminder - I’ll see you all then!

Summary #5

Warnings: Possible minor or temporary character death and injury description but nothing too graphic!

Pairings: Platonic Ruby/Clancy, no romance!

Summary: It’s spring of 1974 and Ruby Redfort wakes up alone in a hospital bed, with no memory of the past year of her life. Her parents somehow have a new butler who seems to be Clancy Crew’s new best friend. Ruby’s pretty sure she’s missing something important but she’s more sure Clancy is trying to hide something from her. Even worse, the butler is sure she hasn’t just been injured from falling out of trees or some other kind of darling childish mishaps but someone’s has purposely put her in hospital. But who would come after Ruby Redfort?
