i know literally nothing about worldflipper besides your art, but it looks really cool!!! who are your favs? why are they your favs? tell me anything and everything cool about it?

Wah, I'm glad it's fun to see art for it! There's a lot I can talk about for the series...for me, it's mainly that this game kept me a lot of company while working, ahaha. True to the name it's about World Hopping - namely about connecting worlds, meeting people from the different worlds, and learning about why the worlds are the way they are (alongside the nature of the goddess who watched over them, the origin dragon, and so on). Since the game EoS, they pulled together an ending for chapter 12 and they did a very good job of wrapping things up with a satisfying ending.

There's also a LOT of characters i like (it is a gacha game after all!) but Yukariko and Shouta are the ones I draw the most...so I can talk about them!

Sho's known the protag for a bit, and has a complicated relationship with him at first - ultimately, he gets jealous of the things his friend can do, thinks he's going to be left behind, and has terrible communication skills to boot. Teenage friendships are messy! Eventually, he comes around, and later on becomes friends with the effective 'antagonistic force' (in a way) - bro literally turns the final chapter around by reminding him that he's supposed to help im 'pick up girls' with him.

Yukariko mistakes Shouta as someone who helped her when she was young, and her views on how love should go has her believe that Sho's the one for her. She's overly kind around him, gets jealous when others spend too much time with him...but when she eventually learns that Sho isn't the same guy, her worldview is crushed. She later comes around though, and the two decide to start again as friends and work up from there. This actually gets explored more in the JP-only beach alt, and it's very sweet by the end.

(also, Yukariko's bows are in fact meant to match his hairclips, and the two have the same sunglasses in their beach alts, too.)

There's a lot of other characters in this game - anything with Qualia City is fun - and going over all my faves would leave me here all day BUT thank you for the interest :0

What do your FE oc's think is the silliest thing about the world they live in (or their travels thus far through it)?

Firstly HI it's nice to hear from you!!!!!!!!! this is a wild question (positive) and I hope you don't mind that I made a whole meme comic for this

Basically, the end of the world happened in the universe they're in, and the 'Ancient Dragon' hid and even destroyed historic documents of the old world to keep people safe. It's why for a long time, that part of the world was basically your typical Fire Emblem setting (tm)

Things have started to come around and that dragon is trying to catch this particular part of the world up, but he keeps 'forgetting' to mention the barrier that divides their part of the world with another world, the undersea community called Hadal, among other things...

Also, bonus funnier punchline I I have to put under a read more because Cecil hasn't met these characters yet:

Moira's side of the world doesn't have a gamer grandpa dragon trying to hide history, so preservation efforts is a huge deal over there. And Naruto, apparently. (It's on par with Shakespearean works in terms of how important it is to the school system).

Do you like Dungeon Meshi? Or Apothecary Diaries? I feel like Dungeon Meshi is something you could really sink your teeth into (haha)

I really love Dungeon Meshi! Read through the manga and am delighted to know that there's an anime adaption now. I haven't watched Apothecary Diaries but I think I've seen some bits here and there? Cecil and I finished Fieren so I'm always looking for new shows to (eventually) watch, ehehe.

My funny story of the day - while I adore all of the Dungeon Meshi characters (and the excellent world building), Izutsumi is my favorite, and I cosplayed her like...maybe a week or two before her debut in the anime. So my AB experience that year was this:

About World Flipper, how do you feel about Weihu and Iorez as characters/j

But to answer how I got into Wafuri: I was trying out Granblue Fantasy in a friend's server around the time the game launched, so I saw Cagliostro, went 'oh, I know that one!', and downloaded the game. I liked Pokemon Pinball as a kid, so it felt nice to have a Pinball game on my phone? And when I found they had some good furry designs (i really like Renoir. I cosplay her a lot actually HAHA....) I wanted to stick by the game and see where it goes.

That said, I didn't get active until the Skyscraper event, and when World 10 was released, I really started drawing lots of fanart? It was a fun time playing on JP server when I could (and glad to have figured out CN to play now).

Rounding back to the first question: I think they're both neat :) ! I wish we got Lorez in Global, but I'm excited knowing we'll get him in CN soon.

Finally finished the animation for C-RYU, the Dragon Idol that World Flipper was unable to release in 2024 :3 It was a lot of fun making this fan design and putting together the sprites for it.

The fact that Shouta and Nova convinced him to keep his name...it's pretty important, so I wanted to put them in there. The others....shh, its fine, let them cook.

(I also thought a lot today about what sort of niche he's fill. While there's a part of me that could make things easy and slot him into fever/direct atk....I've decided that his true calling is ability damage.)
