Jack Skellington. To me, this is the best character Tim Burton ever developed.  Why, you ask? He's a dynamic character. 

He starts out as that character that's bored with the holiday that he's practically the owner of, is sick of the same crap over and over again, and tries to find some new holiday or version of his own.

So, he finds Christmas Town, thinks he can take over Christmas, and basically destroys it. 

Destroying Christmas makes Jack realise his own mistakes, he makes it his goal to fix what he ruined. 

He had the feeling hit him that it wasn't his place to celebrate Christmas, and went out of his way to apologise to Santa.

He may still think Christmas is amazing, but he knows that it belongs to someone else. 

He goes from this big-headed character who thinks he owns everything to a character who can distinguish right from wrong. I learned lessons from him.

"Learn from your mistakes", "Don't give up on an old idea just because it's boring", and "Try something new, and it makes you feel the same as the old, reinvent the old, so you never get bored."

Jack Skellington wasn't just a skeleton, he was a teacher. A teacher for what to do and what not to do.

That's why I love him.
