Quinn’s first career major penalty and game misconduct is against .. college teammate Josh Norris.
I take this as good omen for Quinn Hughes back-to back Norris.
Honestly, just an unfortunate coincidence as Josh seemed to already be going down when Quinn tried to stop him from behind. So the compounded momentum led Josh’s mouth to hit the board and the presence of blood as what determined the hefty penalty that would probably otherwise have gone uncalled (or at most a 2-minute minor), as clearly shown in how the rest of the game was officiated.
But we’ll take 2 points and move right on 📈

Not only a cerebral player with elite skating skills, Quinn simultaneously takes into account many other facets of the game, has a great knowledge and understanding of other players and teams’ plays and always on a relentless pursuit to get better without letting ego getting in his way. Traits to thrive in my field of one’s choosing. But with Quinn to the power of six, we are winning not just on another level - we on another dimension.
🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼
I wish I could put quinn hughes in a cloning machine that would just churn out five more haunted-looking hockey prodigies…I think the canucks could put them all out on the ice at once and never lose again

Thank goodness the Canucks showed some fight in them today in their 4:1 win against the Blackhawks. Honestly I almost stopped caring about the result, just seeing them moving their feet and not giving up on the puck imbued me with hope and delight. Not a perfect game and honestly I felt the Devils were better connected and they got shut out by the Lightening today which I hated cuz I really wanted a revenge.. BUT both VAN and NJD are on the right track.

Next time, the Canucks go against the Islanders, I want to see the Canucks come back from a 2-goal deficit and our Captain Quinn Hughes score the game winning goal in OT (for the third time in his career against NYI) just like Jack here. No more, no less. That’s the script ✍🏼

I seem to only be able to focus on and be invested in one thing/person at a time, invariably rooting for the underdog. Like the Vancouver Canucks and the New Jersey Devils are both my main teams but if one is losing, even the other’s statement win can hardly cheer me up.

Tocchet opening by saying he will not answer any questions about any individual players today and apologizing to the fans.
It's honestly baffling how the Canucks seem like two very different teams on the road and on home ice tho season so far. Today's game in particular with only 5 shots through 2 periods is just not acceptable. I was stunned when the Canucks on ice were just standing there staring the Islanders down on their first PK. I haven't watched a whole lot of hockey but I think it generally doesn't bode well for athletes in any sport to just be passive like that.
It'll be interesting to see how the leadership and management handle this and how the Canucks come back this upcoming back-to-back games.
Still believing for our nucks and our captain 🧸🏆

I really thought Canucks were better than tonight. Hey at least we have Lekki’s first NHL goal and saw Quinn smile in the beginning.

Good day for the Hughes family 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Jack putting the Devils on board first from a wizardry of a backhand pass from Bratt. Luke is looking more and more like a Norris caliber d-man just like his big bro. Devils beat the defending champs!
Quinn setting Petey up for his birthday goal on PP tying up the game and shifting the momentum the Canucks’ way. Canucks snuff out Flames - great revenge for the OT loss in season opener.
We love to see it 🤩🤩🤩

Tomorrow is another day ❤️🩹
Can’t imagine how hard it is on the Canucks core missing Boeser to lose to the Oilers 3:7 on home ice after the blowout loss to the Devils in the last home game. Apparently, a “fan” threw a jersey on ice (sigh)
The 3rd period Canucks horrors again. But, hey, Petey got his first multi-point game this season tonight AND his defense looked amazing.
This is growing pains for our winning team. Again, much better learning the lessons early on than in the playoffs. Remember last year Canucks won ALL 4 of the faceoffs with the Oilers only to be beaten by 1 goal in Game 7 of Round 2 of playoffs - we can reverse the script and take the wins to hoist the ultimate prize 🏆

No one impacts his team and tilts the ice like our Captain does.

Speak it into existence!
i NEED canucksmin to do a vid w one of the players to ask those “stupid fucking questions” that that hockeytwt account posted. perhaps jake debrusk i think he would be funny. i want to know how quinn would answer but i fear his brain might combust at the whimsy (ily quinn) maybe he and petey can do it together so they have a friend to give them emotional support through the horrors of content creation. possibly kiefer or myers…please someone anyone i need it 😭
