You think the Delightful Children have moments where they remember their old families?

I feel like they do.. but like faint memories none of them will ever make sense to. They forget it even happened within the hour even if they did make sense to it.

Follow up it’s been plaguing my mind and I got to bring you all down with me because of it but.. considering the whole they’ve been 10 for like 30 whole years or something along those lines theory, their parents are probably dead by now assuming they were the same age as father when they were taken. So most of them died or even just grew old never knowing where their children went, even worse knowing they failed as parents.

In that same theory it’s even more devastating, how they’ll never get to grow into the adults they’ve always wanted to be and yet sector v gets to (all in the assumption this theory were real which— story wise actually seems so plausible considering the movie)

In the last months of operations, Sector Ʌ receives a help call from overseas, from America. The caller identifies as the missing Sector Z.

Excited at the idea of having found their lost friends, Numbuh 444A, Numbuh 444B and Numbuh 445 immediately leave to reach the point where the call was coming from.

During the flight, 444A and 444B get into a heated argument on whether they should call KND Moonbase before going and let them think about it or actually go on and check themselves. In the end, they keep going as 444A stands his ground as leader and orders his brother to "shut up and fly".

But as the two argue, 5 figures approach them.

As they arrive, they find themselves in front of a big manor that looks... vacant.

The twins go first, asking 445 to watch their back. As the two enter, the doors behind them close, separating them from their girlfriend. 444A orders her to go call for reinforces, and he's left in that big, empty place with a pretty upset 444B, who points out how he was RIGHT in wanting to have Moonbase taking care of this.

"You found us..." they say in unison, reminding them of something they used to do, too. "You found us... you saved us..." the voices repeat in a low, menacing monotone.

As the figures come closer, they realise that they... are not... SectoZ.

Not anymore.

And the worst had yet to present himself to them.

I call this specific brand of character "Antagonistic Yet Deeply Traumatized Child With An Affinity For Robots Who Deserved Better But Has Lost Pretty Much All Traces Of Their Former Identity And Has A Specific Male Relative They Keep Trying To Kill, And If I Think About Them Too Hard For Too Long It Makes Me Cry."

I enjoy watching the key pose artists get more ambitious with how far they could push the Delightful Children the longer the show ran. I know in my heart it had to have been a bitch making sure they read well in every shot, plus the extra work that went into drawing five separate models for every frame they're in! It's like you can feel the team getting comfortable with making them more animated and expressive as time went on.

Same goes for the near-drift-compatible VA work of Summer, Diskin, and Baker-- going from the colder reads in earlier seasons to episodes like PARTY where you could legit mistake their acting for a single person. I really wish we had more style guide/bible/BTS model sheets of them that survived, because I think they would be the most interesting character to read posing notes on. I would also kill to have footage of the three VAs in the booth together doing takes, but I know I can't have it all

Headcanon though bc I’m having mental brain rot..

But I like to think they’re a mental hivemind, if they’re not disoriented, scared shitless, or distracted they all speak in unison canonically.. I like to think they probably have turns where one is predominantly speaking and gesturing. So for instance if you caught Lenny’s interest, I remember one of the comics they literally did this and they started yapping about a meteor repellent can they made like it was a special interest.

Honestly that Sector Z reveal? Had done something to me, like, even as a kid?? 😭 Like WDYM the series main antagonists were legendary agent kids, but an adult brainwashed them into his obedient little dolls and they are stuck like this forever??? And only 2-3 people in the whole universe know about this?? Like, bro???

Even the bag guys need a place to unwind in between episodes. These guys are all regulars here, even if some of them often question why they come.

I just had a dream that KND rebooted by Warburton's own choice because he wanted to fix what was wrong with the original. And there was an episode that kind of started out normal with Sector V ambushing Father but at some point their method of getting inside (Hoagie) was caught by Father and dangled by the collar in front of Sector V where Father attempted to humiliate Hoagie by confessing that Hoagie was an in-the-closet trans girl and had the Delightfuls show them all proof of such. Because they had bigger priorities they ended up kicking Father's ass because he was distracted but when they got back they questioned Hoagie about the legitimacy of it all and she took off her hat to reveal she had been growing it out underneath of it but was too afraid to reveal she wanted to be a girl because she thought they'd hate her. They all support her and tell her they want her to be more openly feminine for her own comfort. The next few episodes have subplots with her exploring her new identity, and also contain plots related to it like Abby discovering she's lesbian during her time helping Hoagie with navigating herself, or Wally discovering he has feelings for Hoagie. I also vaguely remember a point where they all have to convince Hoagie to not rename herself to "Hoagee" (yes, like "geez" type of gee) where she then decided to just keep "Hoagie" as a nickname ("it's feminine enough... Right? -Gie is feminine?") And name herself Hollie. The fandom immediately freaked out when the episode air, going "WAIT DID THAF ACTUALLY JUST HAPPEN??? MY JAW IS DROPPED!!! /" and everyone was remaking their Hoagie designs to incorporate her being trans into it and Cartoon Network immediately started dropping cash grab merch about it 😭

I cannot make this shit up. The one time my dreams are understandable and it's "Hoagie is canonly transfem" AU. I had to share this because it was locked in my head as soon as I woke up
