it is a ‘next-gen’ fanfiction, 12 years after the graduation of the titular class 1-A, focused around 14 year old Yoshika (fostered and adopted by Izuku Midoriya since they were five years old and were stopped from taking a trip off of an apartment building), a variation of colorful new characters, and a brand new villain group. Strong themes of class divides are present, with the main conflict caused by a bitter hatred fueled by this divide. I have been working on this plot for several months now and I am very excited to show it!

because I eat angst up like a starving man, and I’m still writing the fic:

In Memorium AU

Iida is never able to make it out of the USJ to get help for his classmates; he’s caught and his legs broken. All Might doesn’t go to the USJ early enough. And when he fails to show up, the students paid the price for it. Originally they are rounded up and held as leverage, but when it becomes clear that too much time is passing, they decide to get rid of them. Wounded and undertrained, the students aren’t able to save themselves- not with Aizawa now paralyzed- and when they’re looked for after they don’t appear, they find eighteen of the twenty students (Todoroki and Kaminari were already dead before they were rounded up).

Hisashi Midoroya returns from his work in America to find his son, who he had been planning to suprise in the next two weeks by returning home, was dead. A memorial is held outside the school- flowers are laid across the fences and gates, photographs line the walls- but Hisashi can’t find grief in him; only anger and self hatred for what happened. He blamed himself for what happened, for Present Mic being left without his husband, for so many parents being left without their children- for his wife no longer having their son. He thought that he should have been there for him, but he failed.

He tries to kill himself two weeks later, the guilt too strong. He is stopped by Present Mic, pulled off of the rooftop and guided away. They stand at the memorial together and talk about their loved ones. He learned all about the underground hero- everything he hid from the public, to keep up his strong, rough exterior. He learned about their cats, and the whirlwind romance they had had since their second year at UA, as student. He told him all about his son, and swore to make a change.

When the footage from the attack is leaked online, and he watches as his son is murdered- as his classmates are killed around him, as he’s the last one to go, as his spine cracks beneath a foot bigger than his torso (hecouodn’t even scream), he sees the man behind it all. He realizes what he has to do.

Inko Midoriya calls the police to report him missing. Present Mic falls onto his trail. And Hisashi? He’s on a mission. To kill Shigaraki Tomura.

i know there’s a gajillion posts about cal and his psychometry out there, BUT i haven’t seen as much about cal when he first becomes a padawan and he’s still so little and he doesn’t understand/know how to control/is highkey afraid of his ability, so here, have an angsty post about a baby jedi:

imagine this little kid when he first becomes involved in the jedi order, this tiny boy who never lets anyone get too close to him, only watches them with huge bright blue eyes that can’t hide how much he longs for some kind of physical contact or comfort (but these are jedi knights, they’ve seen death and pain and his psychometry would react so so badly to that)

cal pulling his sleeves over his little hands whenever he does have to touch or pick something up, and the older jedi can see how frustrating it is to not be able to just do things without being attacked by other people’s bad memories…they try to tell him that not every single thing he comes in contact with will radiate bad things, but cal won’t let himself take that chance

he latches onto something that, for once, has absolutely nothing painful attached to it (i’m thinking like a blanket or something) and he absolutely will not let it go. he carries it around with him all the time and never goes to sleep without it, because it grounds him and makes him feel just a little bit more in control (this one isn’t angsty, i just love the idea of cal and his security blaketTM)

once, jaro was having a conversation with one of the troopers and wasn’t thinking, and he handed the blaster he was holding to cal, who took it because he trusted jaro and didn’t think his master would let anything hurt him. jaro eventually turned back to see his little padawan trying to hold onto the weapon with shaky hands and tears filling his eyes, unable to say anything as the memories of countless unknown battlefields rushed over him, and the jedi knight spent the rest of the day trying to comfort him, promising himself he’d never ever let that happen again

imagine the first time he lets someone else hug him, he’s terrified at the prospect of being overwhelmed by unknown force echoes, but he’s such a touch starved little bb that he just melts into whoever it is (it was probably jaro after a difficult training session or something) and will not let go. this boy likes to Cling To You, and being hugged or held close to someone gives him a sense of stability that he’s never really had, after isolating himself for so long

Saw a car with a 'Padawan on Board' sticker and IMMEDIATELY thought about how jaro and the clones would've definitely had that on their star destroyer for baby cal

Cal and his gazillion clone trooper dads own my heart, and yes I absolutely do!

they’re basically an army of babysitters. do most of them know how to take care of a child when jaro has has to to a meeting or a battle? of course not. but do they try really hard to look out for this child? absolutely.

more often than not, there’ll be a trooper patrolling the ship he’s on with little cal “will cling to you if he likes you” kestis catching a piggyback ride or tagging along beside him, telling him all about the training jaro had him do that day. and of course the trooper listens very intently because man, that’s important stuff.

the first time jaro brought him along to a battle, cal had a Really Hard Time trying to not let his psychometry break him down. to distract him from being overwhelmed, some of the clones sat down on the sidelines with him after the fighting stopped, and they played scissors paper rock with their little padawan friend until jaro could come get him

you know those stories of dolphins that swim around people in the water when there’s a shark? that’s the clones with their little padawan buddy when they’re in a fight. whenever there’s even a hint that cal might be in danger in a battle, he’s suddenly got at least five clone troopers surrounding him and absolutely obliterating whoever was trying to hurt him

the troopers have started keeping snacks in the pockets of their uniforms or carrying them around on patrol through a ship for the little guy when he comes to hang out with them after training

post-order 66 was the Worst time for him. he saw all his friends, all those troopers who had practically helped raise him and so many of his happy memories revolved around…they had turned against him and against the jedi, and they’d tried to kill him. he’d never known it was possible to feel so alone
