feelings and thoughts surrounding his new opportunity as  ambassador.

when their manager came to him on the 12th and explained to him that a company wanted to sign him as an ambassador he wondered just for a moment who it could be -- when he hears that it is a school uniform brand he furrows his brows and wrinkles his nose slightly. to wear a uniform again for the first time since february last year, he hadn't worn one since then and in all honesty he didn't think he'd ever have to wear one unless it was for a stage performance but here he would be modeling it.

he thought to himself that maybe someone else would be a better fit for the company but then he also remembered that he along with changmin were the youngest members -- so thinking about it like that it all made sense to him.

on the 17th when he entered the studio he looked at the uniforms that he would be wearing and smiled a little to himself, a feeling of nostalgia crept upon him and he remembered how him and juhee had become friends while they were both in high school. even if the uniforms he would be modeling were different than the ones they had, there was something about them that made him remember not only their first meeting but also their multiple other encounters. it had all lead him here, if she hadn't challenged him to audition for the commercial last year, he would still be in university and probably be playing for a professional volleyball team. maybe even preparing for the next world championship as well.

while he got his makeup and hair done, his thoughts drifted off to how different his life was now compared to over a year ago.

it made him smile, the female staff around him blushed but he didn't really notice that. it was a content smile, right now he was incredibly happy with his life. even if there were moments that he probably would want to change... at the same time he didn't want anything to change.

the shoot went over well and jaehyun remembered the last time he stood in front of a camera alone like this last month -- seeing the final product had made him feel proud and he was sure he would be feeling the same way after this.

"thank you for all your hard world, get home safely everyone."

「  SUPER KPOP RADIO  」

jaehyun's pov of haru, hyun and jinwook’s appearance.

jaehyun felt like he had more opportunities this month, from his photoshoot and to this radio appearance and then there was also the s-pop appearance. jaehyun couldn't help but wonder why it was and if he was getting just a little bit popular? or better known. it felt a little odd of him to feel this humble about things but he knew how popular convex was, he had just become a member a little over half a year ago and he still had so much to do before he felt like he could be on the same level as the other members.

he followed behind the hyungs into the studio, smiling, bowing and greeting the mc before sitting down in the chair. he had chosen the one that was the furthest away from the mc. not because he didn't think he could sit closer but he wanted the hyungs to do the talking. they should know that he wasn't the biggest chatter.

jaehyun talked when he was spoken to, smiled and gave decent reactions to the talk happening.

"so haru ssi," the mc suddenly said and jaehyun looked up at them with wide eyes, "what are some of your favorite songs on the mini album?" jaehyun looked at the two older members before glancing back at the mc, uprising his lips in thought, "well i think my favorite song has to be don't wanna cry," he said honestly and nods but glances over at jinwook for a moment with a smile, "but i also liked the solo song that jinwook hy... ssi, got this time around, i really do enjoy it and i've listened to it multiple times," he nods slowly.

it was true, he had listened to it, not so jinwook could hear him but it had nice lyrics so he couldn't help himself. a couple more minutes passed and a question was raised about hyun's acting adventures and once again a question was given to jaehyun "haru-ssi, do you think you'll be trying acting?" jaehyun wondered about it himself for a moment, if he would suit acting-- what answer would the fans and the management want from him in this moment? "i don't think i'll be good of an actor as hyung but maybe one day?"

THE STAR MAGAZINE shared images from their October issue yesterday. Between the different images, CONVEX’s HARU had a solo fashion pictorial. You can find it on physical copies of the magazine or on The Star’s official social media accounts. His group, coming from SPHERE ENTERTAINMENT, had their last comeback last month with their fourth mini-album ‘RIGHT:WE’ and title track ‘DON’T WANNA CRY’.

「  WEEKLY IDOL APPEARANCE  」

filming for weekly idol

if there was one thing jaehyun was still getting used to then it was being on variety shows, he wasn't the funniest member that was for sure-- so as they walked onto the set of weekly idol, cameras looking at them from every angle... jaehyun couldn't help but feel a little uncomfortable, the uncomfort was buried inside him and he put on a friendly and bright expression as he stood among the members. lauighing at theirs and the jokes the mcs made.

when it came around to talk about the album, one thing had lead to another and jaehyun had been asked what jinwoo was to him.

without hesitation he stood forward and uttered the first thing that came to mind, "love," he said passionately with a confident look in his eyes. thankfully for him it made the others there laugh. the shoot lasted for a while, thankfully through the practice he had gotten during the pretty u promotions... of being on a variety show, jaehyun didn't feel like a complete fool this time around. however he knew with himself that he was mostly there now to make good reactions at the jokes, which he tried to do to the best of his abilities -- even throwing away his good looks for some laughs, just to make sure he actually made a reaction to the jokes.

when it was time for them to dance their song, to another song jaehyun glances around at the other members.. worry coats his eyes as he looks at hyun for a moment... wondering if he might get a hand flown into his face because that happens multiple times while they practice. jaehyun has now gotten expert in dodging he was sure of that much.

the shoot itself finished without any injuries ( thankfully ) and when they were on their way back, jaehyun sat back in the car seat, sighing heavily. this scenario exhausted him more than any other dance practice.

「  DWC FIRST WIN  」

don’t wanna cry, first win, sept 14th

when they had first recieved the lyrics and melody to their next title song, jaehyun knew immediately that he liked it ( much better than pretty u, even if the song had a special place inside him ). there was just something about it that felt special even if he didn't have a big part in the song, even if he didn't really stand out. jaehyun couldn't quite pinpoint what it was when he thought about it but he enjoyed it and standing on stage was something he enjoyed. this would be the second week of promotion and he knew the media and fans expected a win. jaehyun wanted a win, for the fans because he knew how hard the fans had worked for them.

after their performance, after all the performances they were gathered on the stage and he was wishing to himself that they would win.

if they won, he wasn't sure what he would do but he for sure wanted to something special.

the nervous jitters in his chest built up as the mc's read the winners and jaehyun felt a wave of relief come over him.

jaehyun listened to the speeches made by the other members and when the microphone was eventually given to him he wasn't sure what to say, everyone had already said so much but what could he say to make everything even better?

"thank you for all your support, consta you are the best," he gives the camera a thumbs up and a warm smile. he turns around to look at the other groups standing behind them, wondering how much they had worked on their debuts and comebacks-- jaehyun bows to them and smiles. their fans must have worked hard as well but to him, in this moment, convex just felt like a wall. jaehyun found familiar faces that he had seen, he was sure his eyes for a moment scanned over the de:code members and the familiar face he knew there.

「  BIRTHDAY STAGE  」

thoughts on his birthday during promotions

there was something special about standing on stage again and the enjoyment that he foundn on stage was something else, it was easily comparable to the feeling he had gotten when he had played in the national tournaments in volleyball. this however also brought another feeling to the table -- comradery and community. jaehyun wasn't sure if the fans had accepted his presence in the group yet but on his birthday he had gotten gifts and gratulations from strangers on instagram.

some looked to be what they would call fansites and he felt it on the day that was his birthday, he felt blessed to be able to stand on stage on his birthday. normal people would maybe hate working on their birthday -- but he felt differently, jaehyun had never minded because he couldn't remember the last time he had celebrated his birthday.

but today would be different, jaehyun clutches the sandwich in his hand slightly. the sandwich hyun had given to him and inside the had been a note. it had been difficult to read but at the same time it had made his day ten times better. seeing her backstage had made him pretty happy already, but he had tried to keep his composure and not let his feelings show when he had seen the note that had been left there from her.

a secret that he had shared with only a couple of his members because he felt a little bad for not telling them -- so he had shared his secret with two of the members, only two but still it made it feel a little more real. it justified the excitement in his chest when he thought of her although he knew he didn't need to.

juhee had wanted to see him, on the day of his birthday -- it wasn't unusual to spend time with her but now, it was another special meaning behind their meetings. their secret meetings were special to both of them, thinking about it made him smile and he tried not

「  PHOTO TIME  」

jaehyun’s first solo photoshoot on sept 17th

when the offer of a solo schedule had come to him, jaehyun had been surprised for a moment but at the same time, it was a photoshoot. it made him feel nostalgic because of how he had gotten signed on as a trainee over a year ago. which had been a catalyst for how his future had changed. looking back on it all, jaehyun couldn't help but smile a little about it and although he had gotten his picture taken multiple times before... this would be his first official solo photoshoot as convex's haru and not as the volleyball player that he once upon a time had been predicted to become.

while preparing he was grateful to his hyungs, both sehun and hyun offered advice for him and it made him feel like he was apart of convex because now he would be representing them in a magazine.

on the day of the shoot he walked onto the set with his manager, he greeted the staff politely and tried his best to make a good impression on everyone. jaehyun watched his reflection in the mirror as his makeup and hair was done, the clothes that he had gotten to wear... were interesting, not something he would have picked out for himself for sure but it was what it was what he needed to wear.

jaehyun could hear whispers in the background as he stepped out to space he was getting his picture taken, he could have sworn the female staff was blushing but he didn't do anything. the shoot lasted for a couple of hours, jaehyun delivered different poses at the photographer's request. it wasn't a hard task for him at all and the photographer seemed pleased with the pictures that were being taken of him as well --  jaehyun wondered to himself about which pictures were going to be used as he changed his clothes for the last time of the day.

jaehyjn posed for a selfie with a staff member before thanking everyone, "thank you all for being patient with me, it's my first solo schedule -- thank you."

its that time  of the year again, my birthday this year is different from before. so many people are celebrating me and it feels weird? i don’t know what i did to deserve consta’s love but i am grateful, i will do my best this year to make consta proud!
