Watching Obi Wan Kenobi is so heartbreaking because it is too little too late. That "I'm sorry Anakin, for all of it", it just hits so hard because it isn't enough anymore. Vaders hatred of him because of his mutilation runs too deep now. If only Obi had tried harder on Mustafar, I think he really could have guided Anakin back to the light. I understand why he didn't - he was angry and disoriented and shocked, his whole world had just been uppended, he had just watched the boy he raised slaughter a temple full of children, he was half mad with grief. I get it.

But I honestly do think it could have ended differently. Vader was only truly born after that fight, after the burns, after the surgery, after learning of Padmé death. Anakin was still there, deranged, drowning in guilt and pain and fury, choking on paranoia but he was still there. The mark of a true tragedy is how it is preventable at nearly every step.

You should just throw it away. Throw that god forsaken game away, its not normal. Its not fucking normal. It just keeps luring you in like it has invisible chains wrapped around you, drowning you in a sea of paranoia and sleeplessness. You haven’t touched it all day, you’ve just been watching. Staring at the blank screen waiting for something to happen. You felt like you were going crazy, maybe you were- it doesn’t really matter. Your stomach growled you should probably eat something. You haven’t left your room for at least two days. Thank god you had a bathroom connected to your bedroom.

You stood up walking into the kitchen and grabbing something. You were about to eat when you heard the game boot up. The familiar whoosh of Majora’s mask. You felt a feeling of dread run through you. You’re Just Imagining it. You’re Just Imagining it. You’re Just Imagining it. You shakily brought the plate back to your room walking in and seeing the game booted up on your computer. You tried to ignore it hoping it would go away if you just sat on your bed, and ate in silence. You sat your plate down and stared at the screen. The game play was surprisingly normal at first until the statue started following you again. “Fuck..” you hissed trying to get away from it. You could hear the Happy mask salesmen’s laugh faintly.

As usual the music was distorted and would randomly jump up all the way in volume making you jump. Suddenly it shut off. Your entire computer was off and wouldn’t start back up. You slumped in your chair rubbing your hands over your face. It was late you should go to bed. You sluggishly made your way over laying down. It took a bit for you to sleep the overwhelming feeling of being watched making it hard to close your eyes.

You were awoken to your computer dinging. You looked over and it was on with a chat bot pulled up. You slowly got up walking over and trying to close the tab, but it just opened back up. You cursed sitting down.

3:45 AM
