Lena Horne *heart eyes* a gorgeous singing voice, with a face to match.

Who knew a flower could reap such seeds of destruction yet appear so delicate and pretty. Like a love affair meant to end bad, she is alluring and distracting–and like every addiction, creeps over you slowly until the downward spiral happens a hundred times, until the final plummet to death is sudden and deceptively quick so that even the cleverest won't escape. Beware, you're no more clever than the last fool who tried to outsmart her.

I need a reboot. I need to have my memory wiped clean. I need to empty out the trash inside me. Permanently delete any files that remind me of him, and I. If only my mind and heart were like a computer. If only there was a device that worked like an external drive, where you plugged it into your heart and brain and downloaded everything that reminds me of him and what was lost. And then erase him from me. But keep all those delicate memories and destruction and pain and notalgic love affair stored in a safe place in the closet maybe one day when I feel I can bear it or when I am feeling particularly sadistic I can bring it out of storage and remember again why I missed him and why I am better off without him.
