What up y’all?! It’s been a hot minute but I’m bringing forth another review today. Today I’m bringing to you Wakanda Forever. So if you haven’t seen this movie keep moving.

Now let’s get one thing straight. Wakanda Forever in my opinion should not be compared to the original Black Panther, and here’s why.

1) This movie is not what the original Black Panther 2 was supposed to be. Although the original way of the movie had to change due to Chadwick Boseman’s death, this movie should be considered a completely different movie.

2) The messages behind the two movies are very different from each other. The first movie is more about cultural empowerment and pride in one’s culture, and although these elements are still there in the second movie, the main message behind this movie is how to respond and deal with one’s grief, and how to keep going.

Now, overall thoughts of this movie before I get into the big details. Overall, I loved this movie. I think that this was essentially Marvel’s come back movie. Although they’ve been releasing some fairly good movies and shows (Dr. Strange, Love & Thunder, Spider-Man), this movie is essentially one of the best films since Avengers Endgame. The introduction of the main villain(Namor) was perfectly executed, and left me not knowing if he would stay evil, or turn good, but overall, his story shows how villains are typically misunderstood.

The music was perfectly used in this movie as well. The way Rihanna’s Lift Me Up was used at the end of the movie to bring out the pain that Shuri was feeling, really brought out the emotions.

One of the movie's most powerful scenes is when Shuri finally sees her brother in flashbacks. With a moment of dead silence, Marvel can encapsulate the feelings of grief and remember where we came from.

I'm excited to see where Marvel will go with the storyline, as Shuri is the new Black Panther, so I'd imagine she'll be in more movies from here on out.

Some random notes I have.

I thought the use of the Mayan language was excellent. The representation was accurate, and I like that Marvel continues to add new cultures into their movies.

I wasn't expecting the plot twists in the movie. With that being said, I was happy to see how they decided to continue on with T'Challa's name, by giving him a son.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is a movie that perfectly encapsulates the feelings of grief and loss, a film that teaches you how to keep going in the worst of times. Everyone should see this film, as it's one of Marvel's best works.

SEVEN DEADLY SINS (Nanatsu No Taizai) Review (WITH SPOILERS)

Hi everyone! Back again with another review, this time it's anime edition! Today I'll be reviewing Seven Deadly Sins, and yes, if you haven't seen it, I don't recommend reading as there will be spoilers.

So... what is Nanatsu no Taizai?

The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) is an anime about a group of warriors who join together (Seven Deadly Sins) to protect the world from evil forces during the Holy War on Britannia. I don’t even know where to start with The Seven Deadly Sins, it’s a story about love, resurrection, honor, and so much more. Honestly, I did not think there would be anime to speak out to me as much as this one did. I’ve seen a fair amount of anime (not like a super weeb or anything, I’m a casual watcher) and this one by far takes the cake. The Seven Deadly Sins has so much to offer in the short span of four seasons (or three seasons if you’re watching in Japan).

While it starts as an introduction to each of the seven sins, starting with the main character, Meliodas,

you later get to meet so much more characters, and plot points of the show.

I have to admit, this took me way longer to watch than it should’ve. I started season four right when it came out, but did not finish it until only recently. The best part about Seven Deadly Sins is the story. I love how there’s not really a filler episode to incorporate into the show (I understand why there are fillers, but I’m not a crazy fan of it), and I like how each episode is a direct continuation of the previous one. Now, let’s talk about characters.

My favorite character in the whole series is…

Meliodas!

Meliodas is such a loveable character. Although he comes off as kind of pervy in the beginning, he’s super funny, honestly very attractive, and best of all, he has a good heart. When you find out about the story of Elizabeth and Meliodas, and how he’s been trying to break a curse between them for years… my heart BROKE.

I kept begging and begging the show to keep Elizabeth alive and for Meliodas to not feel that heartbreak any more. Yuki Kaji honestly does a really good job in voicing him (if you like the sub version), and each time I see one of their stories unfold, I’m begging for mercy.

Characters I didn’t like: I would say probably the Demon King (that one’s kind of obvious).

I didn’t like Diane in the beginning, but she honestly does get better towards the end of the series.

My favorite plot point would definitely be when Meliodas and Elizabeth broke the curse

and also got to save Zeldris (Meliodas’ brother). I was very satisfied with the ending, and I’m so glad everyone got the peace they deserved (and Meliodas became a very handsome king).

This anime is honestly rated a 10/10. There’s so many good elements to it, it kept me on the edge of my seat, it had me crying in bed when watching it, there’s so much I could say about the Seven Deadly Sins, but this is our first perfect 10 on my blogs!

BREAKING BAD TV Review (WITH SPOILERS)

Hi everyone! It's Riley here with a TV Review! I've seen so many TV shows, but Breaking Bad is the first show I decided to start actually making a review for... so without further ado... (If you haven't seen the show, I don't recommend reading this, as it will spoil the show for you)

Okay... so what is Breaking Bad?

Well... Breaking Bad is a show about Walter White, a 50 year old man who gets diagnosed with cancer, and goes into the drug industry to make money for his family. Along the way, he gets help from former high school student, Jesse Pinkman, who now is a drug addict. Eventually Walter becomes one of the biggest influences in the drug empire.

The show was probably one of the more entertaining shows I’ve seen in a while. The way Walter’s story unfolded with what he would do next was written incredibly well.

I personally thought Jesse Pinkman was the best character. His story had elements that I feel many people could relate to. Even if everybody is not an everyday druggie on the down low (or maybe you are, I don’t know), the way Jesse is constantly fighting to turn his life around, made me feel so bad for him. When his first girlfriend was killed in season 1 because Walter just stood there and watched her die (screw you Walter), I immediately felt so bad, then when he met Brock and his mother Andrea, I felt so happy that maybe he would have his life turned around, NOPE! Walter poisons Andrea’s kid with ricin to get back at him, and honestly that was the WORST thing I could’ve ever seen. Jesse Pinkman, I could create an entire separate post on why I love him. I’m so glad he got out at the end.

Now, let’s talk about Walter White.

Walter motherfucking White. This man. I don’t think I have ever despised a main character as much as I despised this man. Although his intentions began as something that was probably maybe, possibly for the greater good, he later becomes this selfish dick that nobody fucking likes, because all he does is complain and manipulate people. Honestly, Walter White deserved the ending he got. The way he treated Jesse countless times, the way he lied to Skyler and Walt Jr. during the entire course of the show (granted, I do not like Skyler) either, I could go on and on.

I think the best highlight of the show is the season 4 finale with the death of Gus Fring. Gus Fring was one amazing character. I didn’t like him, but he was a FANTASTIC tribute to the show. I never saw the death of him coming the way that it happened. (I had his death spoiled, but I had no idea it happened like that!)

Overall, this show is rated (in my opinion) a 8/10. Seasons 1-4 were FANTASTIC and kept me interested every single episode, however, season 5 fell a little short for me. However, the highlight of season 5 was when Hank found EVERYTHING out, that really had me on the edge of my seat.
