So….we’re all thinking that the slow part of Loki’s chaotic drinking song was probably something his mother sang to him…right?

a lot of children - especially mentally ill children - end up traumatized not because someone was specifically hurting them but because their needs weren’t being met, or because their problems weren’t being seen, or because they were rendered particularly vulnerable by other aspects of their identity, like queerness or race. 

and it can be hard to look at your childhood and go “I was hurt” and also know that the hurt wasn’t deliberate. it’s uniquely painful to not have someone to blame. 

you do not have to excuse the people who hurt you, even if it was unintentional. & acknowledging your own pain does not necessarily entail blaming them for it.

you are allowed to do what you need to do in order to recover.

I have a theory after this episode and I believe Sylvie is inetntionally being written as a trans woman. She’s changed her sex, changed her name, even changed her hair and appearance, and hates being called “Loki.�� The thing about Loki in the comics is while Loki is fluid (sex and gender and species), they’re always Loki. Loki in the comics (the modern comics at least that first introduced fluid Loki; King Loki is a different story) has no gender identity, no true species identity even. Loki is a shapeshifter who identifies with every form they take no matter what that form is and, overall, is always Loki. You could say that Loki identifies as Loki.

Sylvie is different. Sylvie has clearly taken on a different and permanent form and hates being called by the name Loki. If Sylvie is a Loki variant from the same universe (and we have no reason yet to believe that she isn’t) then she was likely amab and raised male, chose to discard her old name and take on a distinctly feminine one, and lives now in a female body. That’s distinctly different from comics Loki and from the main line Loki variant.

loki not long ago had this tough-guy-all-powerful-god act, he doesnt want to be hurt, he knows hes powerful and uses it to his advantage, and yet with mobius? he starts being his normal cheeky self, letting his gaurd down, and even sleeping with mobius there, making himself vulnerable, something that someone like loki would know, because he trusts him, because mobius is one of the few people to show loki kindness🥺 and mobius speaking softly to loki, defending him?? even when he purposely stalled them, even though hes risking getting himself in trouble, even though he knows loki could [literally] stab him in the back. why? because he KNOWS theres some good in loki. and he wants to see it bloom <33

Theory going into the rest of “Loki” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”:

So, remember the scene where Strange says he looked into 14,000,605 possible futures and saw only one where they beat Thanos? Based on how the timeline is managed by the TVA in that they only allow one branch of time to occur (the Sacred Timeline), what if Strange literally meant that he only saw the one future that is allowed by the TVA? He probably did see other instances where the Avengers manage to beat Thanos but before they could happen, the TVA showed up to eliminate those branches of time. 

Strange obviously can’t tell the group about what he saw since that would overly complicate a situation that even he has little knowledge about (this is probably the first time he encountered the TVA), so he just tells Tony Stark and the others about the one future he did see. “Multiverse of Madness” is then where Strange starts looking into the TVA and why they keep deleting possible timelines. 

Also, another reason why Doctor Strange didn’t want to tell the group about the TVA: he encountered 2012!Loki in one of them, where he’s now a fully-fledged member of the TVA. To tell the group that would just confuse everyone.
