DWP - Destination Wedding Planners Congress Day 2

  Day 2 at the Destination Wedding Planners Congress. The Stunning venue is at the Mitsis Alila Resort and Spa. Daytime was conferences, Guest speakers and coffee mingles. Lots of different subjects. From the latest trends to helping your business survive through the current pandemic. Upstairs is where tonight's entertainment will be held. It amazed us how quickly the stage came together, fantastic sound and lighting technicians from FYE - For your event. A very professional sound check with us.

Daytime view

Over to the evening time of day 2 at the Destination Wedding Planners Congress,  It was planned to be an action-packed programme of entertainment.  The Iconique Dancers were welcoming everyone in whilst dancing to our mixes. A wonderful percussion group called hang out by the Black and White Drums. They had everyone up on their feet. Next was the majestic Naiads synchronized swimmers. Giving everyone a serious wow factor to their evening. The Traditional Greek dancers. The Sirtaki dancers were brilliant. resulting in all the guests being keen to join in and learn the steps. Without rehearsal, we helped each act with their music and their timings. The final act of the night was the Next Level Band. Every single person was up dancing to their uptempo songs. The venue itself was stunning. With Gorgeous uplighters, fairy lights, flower arrangments galore. It made the whole night spectacular.

DWP - Destination Wedding Planners Congress Day 1

Destination wedding planners congress came to Rhodes this November to promote our island as a wedding destination. Over 350 planners from around the world came to Rhodes for this 3-day event from the 9th to 11th November to discover and be charmed by what this beautiful island can offer their clients. Before the actual event, there were plenty of Zoom meetings as well as meetings in person. Finally meeting the amazing organiser Karina and her team in August.

Set up - Behind the scenes

Day 1 of the congress was at Kallithea Spa, one of Rhodes most stunning wedding venues. In the afternoon there were sound and lighting checks with the crew of F.Y.E. (For your entertainment) from Athens. Meeting the other acts and doing some rehearsals with them and their music.

Evening Time

The guests were arriving at 7 pm. As there arrived there were dancers greeting them by the fountain. As the guests reached the stunning rotunda for their welcome drinks we played the acrobats music to the story they were enacting. Waiters served Canapes and Signature cocktails  They tasted delicious. After the speeches including one from our Mayor, it was time to mingle, catch up with old friends and of course make new ones. Once everyone had been reacquainted, It was time for Megan and her jazz band to entertain all the guests with their unique style of jazzed up covers of popular songs, They had everyone dancing including me. It was again over to us to keep the party vibe going until the very last guest. Overall it was a very successful first day. We met a lot of new people from around the globe within our industry. Despite being nervous being the first event that we've done it went so much better than we could anticipate. Plenty of interest in our services including  Wedding Ceremony Shows. We made a lasting impression with our knowledge of Multicultural music to suit all the tastes of each guest attending this year's Destination Wedding Planners Congress. Equipment has been serviced by Free Sound by Giovanni and is sounding awesome.

Covers have been soaked and freshly washed for that Daz white look.

The playlist and other paperwork sorted days ago and everything is stacked ready to be loaded into the car - which I really wanted to do last week, not that I am eager or anything!
