𝐗𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐂𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐆 the courtyard. It had been a while since he felt this sense of panic. Fear consuming him over the status of his lover. He had to be alive…Xanthous probably wouldn’t be able to handle loss.
Wouldn’t be able to handle it? What was he even thinking? He's lived for centuries, experienced countless deaths…why would this one be any different? He frowned at this realisation. What made this different? Why was Xanthous…scared?
“Sir Xanthous?"
The yellow fairy turned, and it didn't take long for the joy and relief to be seen on his face. “Lampton.” he responded, feeling much more at ease.
The two embraced and for a moment, all that fear that Xanthous felt earlier washed away. He was left feeling the serenity of his lover’s warm hold.
But that serenity didn’t last long. Xanthous pulled away from the hug and looked into the hazel eyes that were in front of him. “Is everything alright in the Charming Kingdom? How are your troupes?”
“Fine as of right now. However I fear the worst is yet to come. Everyone has their guard up. What about the Council? I imagine you are all equally piled up with work.”
Xanthous nodded with a sigh. “Unfortunately so.”
The two sat on a bench in the courtyard, staring up at the night sky. The silence was nice, it felt like someone had put a pause on the problems in the world to let the two men have a moment of peace next to each other. Xanthous glanced over at Lampton as a thought crossed his mind. “Gosh, you’re so handsome.”
Xanthous saw his red eyes in the reflection of Lampton’s hazel ones as the realisation hit. “I think I just said that out loud, didn't I?”
He responded with a wide grin. “Yeah.”
Xanthous leaned down and nestled his head on Lampton’s shoulder. He paid extra care in making sure he was keeping his flames in control so as to not hurt the head of the royal guard. The duo continued to sit in silence before hearing someone call for Lampton.
They got up and brushed off. “I suppose I’ll be seeing you next in battle?”
Lampton nodded. “We will come out of this victorious.”
“I hope so. I do not wish for everyone’s efforts to be in vain.”
“Indeed..” after a pause, Lampton walked off, turning behind before he was out of sight. “See you on the other side.”

The middle of a war is never exciting. Most are used to the constant pattern of fighting day in and day out and nothing seems interesting anymore. So it was safe to assume everyone was very eager for the final battle to commence. That would determine a winner. That would end this whole mess.
So when the literary army announced the final battle to occur that night, everyone felt the anticipation. The eagerness to be free of the tyranny that was the villains’ rule.
After hours of hard work and determination, the literary army saw its demise. Crowds of people cheered as the war came to an end. Joy could be felt all across the kingdom as every village and town celebrated this victory.
The fairy council walked around the Charming Kingdom, checking up on the residents and inspecting the casualties. As they arrived at the Palace, Xanthous heard a familiar voice call his name. Upon the sight of Sir Lampton, Emerelda looked over to the council and said, “We should head into the Palace and check on the royal family. Xanthous, why don’t you check in on the guards?”
She gave him a knowing smile as she led the rest of the council into the throne room. Xanthous prayed that his face wasn't as flushed as he felt it was. He turned to Lampton and smiled.
“We won.” The soldier had a joyous grin.
The two embraced in a hug before pulling away slightly and sharing a kiss. A tender moment for the couple. However as Xanthous looked at Lampton, he watched as the hazel eyes widened in shock. He felt himself get pushed to the side.
His sight was blurry, voices muffled. All he heard was the sound of Lampton telling him to watch out. Xanthous watched as the guard’s body was seen dropping to the ground. Rage consumed Xanthous and before he knew what had truly happened, he watched a member of the Playing Card Army fall to the ground as well. Fairy Council members, the royal guard and the royal family rushed outside to figure out why there was so much commotion.
Xanthous was by Lampton’s side. The soldier had an arrow impaled in him. He was still smiling. Xanthous cradled Lampton in his arms. At that moment, he did not care about his relationship being secretive. None of that mattered.
“Stay with me.” He hugged Lampton tightly. “Please.”
“I'm fine Sir Xanthous, really.”
“Stop saying I’m fine when you’re not.” Xanthous held his clothes close to the wound to stop any further bleeding. “It’s fine to say I’m not fine.”
Lampton felt his own breath slow down. “Perhaps..I’m not fine..”
Xanthous hated those words more. But he didn’t say it. Instead he turned to the Council members. He was met with various faces, none of which were hopeful for Lampton’s survival. “Why would you do that? You had so many years ahead of you. I’ve lived long enough.”
Lampton had a pained smile on his face. “I made a promise when I became a member of the royal guard….” He gasped for breath. “I would put my life on the line for anyone. And I intend to keep that promise. Besides, I would never regret saving your life dear.”
Xanthous took Lampton’s hand and pressed it on his forehead. “Still…”
“I appreciate all of you. Xanthous, thank you for showing me a new perspective on the world. But now I must join the others on a different side. Don’t let our story go unheard Xanthous. So many people lost their lives…they deserve to be remembered. Now, I get to protect them again.”
Those were the last words from Sir Lampton. Selfless, as expected from a top ranking member of the Charming Army. Xanthous watched as he felt Lampton go limp in his arms. He felt the tears and did not attempt to stop them.
He knew what he had to do. He learnt why this love was different from the rest. Sure, he was scared. And yes, he had seen countless deaths over the years. But he learnt through his relationship with Lampton that his purpose was to keep their legacy alive. Xanthous knew that no one would ever forget Lampton, or any of the fighters of the war for that matter, and their service. He would make sure of it. That was part of his role. And he intended to keep his promise till he took his last breath. Just like Lampton did to save him.

these are some edits i made for the fairy council from the land of stories. all moodboards were made by me and contain my watermark on them. all images used were found on pinterest and edited on picsart. while i own the edits, i DO NOT own the individual pictures used ^^
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i plan to make more edits whenever i can during study breaks (because exams are so annoying <3) but yea! pretty proud of how these turned out, hopefully the people in the tlos fandom agree and i’ve done the characters justice. some of the characters have lil backstory references in their moodboards which was fun to add in ^^
i am..a little annoyed now that i put ‘mother goose’ instead of just like ‘lucy goose’ or smth cause now it looks a little odd but oh well- what’s done is done. anyways, till the next post (which…might be soon who knows lol <33)

Lingering Questions
{a short tlos fic about alex returning to the fairy palace after the events of book six}
Tumblr media
⚘═≖≖═˖✾°•∘❀∘•°✾˖═≖≖═⚘
The sight was devastating.
Her heart slowed in time with her gentle steps. Alex had to mindfully place one foot in front of the other as she navigated through the rubble and remains of the Fairy Palace. What was once a gleaming, proud, and bright structure was now gray, crumbled, and desolate. Despite recently coming back to her senses, Alex managed to put on a brave face as she led the members of the Fairy Council back into what was left of their home.
No words were said. The only sounds were the crunching of pebbles underfoot, the gentle buzzing of bees, a soft flow of water, and the crackling of low flames. All they did was walk for now. The planning would soon follow, and then the salvaging. Memories, items...
Lives.
They didn't know how much they could save from the remnants of this destruction.
The first thing Alex thought of once she returned to the Land of Stories was the destroyed Fairy Palace. It was a brief flicker in her mind before she focused on bigger matters. Alex was a leader. Their leader. Even after all that happened, she knew they expected her to get to work immediately.
Just like her grandmother would.
Alex wasn't surprised when she followed a set path through the palace. Once upon a time, she had taken this exact route multiple times daily. She climbed the stairs, adjusting her steps to avoid the chunks and boulders that had fallen and peppered them with dangerous holes. The fairies knew better than to stop her due to the clear hazards presented. They were nothing compared to what Alex had faced in the past. She climbed those steps with aching legs and an aching heart as the parade behind her slowed their procession. Unspoken acknowledgment of her task led them to leave her be. She deserved to be the first to witness what remained of her grandmother.
The double doors that led to her grandmother's office used to feel so imposingly professional. Alex remembered feeling a warmth within her chest whenever she was allowed to enter through them. However, only one door remained standing, and Alex greeted the bottom half of the reared unicorn with a stare. Anyone looking at her face would have said she looked empty, that there was no emotion in her eyes, but that couldn't have been further from the case. She was feeling so many things at once that her face couldn't accurately express it. All she could do was stare.
Pushing herself to move beyond the first hurdle, Alex finally focused on the state of her grandmother's old office. Shattered glass covered the floor and made for dangerous terrain, but Alex took care of that with a wave of her hand. Her powers were still heightened and magic came far too easily. She pushed down that disdain for herself as quickly as possible before it overtook her analytical senses. Alex was there to assess the damage, make plans on how to fix it, and eventually get to work. But as she looked around the single half of her grandmother's office that remained, Alex could feel the heat and tension of tears threatening to spill from her eyes and stain her face.
There was a breeze from the nearby cliffside, as her grandmother's office overlooked the sea, and it plastered Alex's hair to her now wet face. She had to push it back and trap it under her headband just so she could focus. The wind rustled rogue papers and flipped through the wrinkled pages of open books. Smashed potion bottles were left with very little liquid in them, most of their substances having washed away with the rain or elements over time while exposed. From her small glimpse of things, she determined that nothing had been left untouched or intact. Almost as if her office had been one of the primary targets, it was completely and utterly unsalvageable.
Alex had to steady herself, her hands wrapping around her arms in some gesture that should have given her comfort but only made her more ill at ease. If only Conner wasn't off helping the others with his own section of the Land of Stories World Repair tasklist. She could have used her brother there beside her. While he didn't have half the memories she did regarding that office, Alex knew he'd share in her pain. It was more than paper and glass. More than bubbles and breathtaking views. The memories that used to be embedded within the now cracked and crumbled walls would need to be replaced alongside the golden foundations.
Physical devastation was such a small part of it to Alex. What mattered to her were the times when she had smiled and learned within those walls. Where she had felt like she finally belonged. How could they take this from her? Why did her pain have to continue even after these terrible events? It felt like a scar she had to look at in the mirror. It felt like a wound she would always be reminded of no matter how much time passed or how lovely the new Fairy Palace looked.
Would it ever go away? Would that feeling ever truly leave her be?
As she stepped further inside, Alex could feel her conscience answer her questions for her.
No.
Answers came so easily to Alex when she stood before the remnants of the fireplace. Bubbles attempted to manifest as she stood by, their comforting visage struggling to help bring her peace. How many times had her grandmother stared into that fireplace feeling the exact same way she did? Alex had no reason to feel hopeless. They were repairing the Land of Stories at that very moment, and yet her sadness would not leave her be. Had her grandmother ever felt this way? How had she overcome it?
As if the room held the answers to her plight, Alex continued to look around. While only half of it still stood, she searched it desperately for traces of her grandmother. She always had the answers. She always provided support when Alex needed it most. Even if she returned to magic, her grandmother had continued to be there for her.
So where was she now? Was this not prominent enough of a situation to warrant her guidance? What were the qualifications she needed to meet to receive assistance?
Alex would never get over the dissatisfaction of being left without an answer. Even if she could speak with her grandmother once more, Alex would have far too much to say and far too little time to say it. 'Goodbye's and 'I love you's would have to suffice, but she still regretted so many things. She regretted not asking to speak with her grandmother more. She regretted not sending her letter after letter every single chance she got. She regretted all of those times when they were apart. While, logically, Alex couldn't blame herself, she still did. She hated that she had never grasped the possibility of someone leaving her so suddenly. Her father had left her feeling so many regrets simply because his passing was so sudden, but her grandmother had taken more time with it. There was something Alex could have done to make their time together count more.
A scoff left her mouth, the first sound she had made verbally since arriving, at the thought of that. Her grandmother wasn't the type to really reprimand her for things, but something told her that she would have been severely disappointed to hear her granddaughter's thoughts. She would tell her that the memories they had made together counted. She would tell her that she enjoyed every single moment with her, her brother, and her family. Each second had been precious, and Alex knew that.
She would tell Alex that even though the palace was destroyed, and even though the physical remnants of their memories were gone, they would never leave her. Alex would never truly forget about them, even if she continued living without expressing her grief over it. Her grandmother would tell her how proud she was of Alex no matter what she chose to do. She would have faith in her granddaughter. Always and forever.
Even if it was difficult for her to admit it to herself, Alex knew her grandmother was there watching over her. She didn't need her hand to guide her at every hard turn, because she had enough confidence in Alex to know she would do it herself. She was the Fairy Godmother. She had all the tools she needed:
Courage.
Grace.
Kindness.
Heart.
She could do this.
Giving herself one more squeeze, Alex imagined her grandmother embracing her in one of her trademark tight hugs. Alex took a deep breath, wiped away her tears, and lifted her head. She could feel her grandmother's pride in her through those memories. She could remember her love, lessons, and everything she had done to prepare Alex to keep going. Even through the pain and the sadness. The young Fairy Godmother knew those things would be part of her life until she inevitably returned to magic as well. But she could find happiness. Her grandmother had taught her how to find it.
And with that, Alex turned to the doorway. She left the office behind with its shattered bottles, crumbled gold, and broken walls. However, she had salvaged so much from that room of rubble. She had found the glue to repair her resolve. She had gathered the spackle to patch up her confidence. Alex left with her grandmother's answers to her lingering questions, finding herself much more comforted by what remained of her grandmother's office than she had expected. She felt no more worry about the state of the Fairy Palace. Even if the walls were cracked, the floor was fissured, and the pillars had fallen, Alex made her way back to the council with the determination she had lacked upon her arrival. She now knew they had not lost anything truly valuable.
After all...
Memories could never be physically destroyed.

𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛 𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗 as she dropped to the ground. Her sobs echoed across the desolated graveyard. In front of her was a tombstone. She didn’t want to believe what was written on it. She couldn’t believe it. Somewhere in her consciousness was the thought that it was a lie. That everyone was lying. It was all some sick prank someone pulled. Yet right below that disbelief was the constant reminder that she was there when it happened. That it was about as real as anything she had been through. She looked at the engraving on the stone as her vision blurred with her tears of pure sorrow. The engraving said as followed :

A year. A year had passed and she still felt hollow. Felt as though there was an endless void in her heart that would never be filled. She wanted to give up. To join him. What dreams could be left for her when he was gone.
Another boy was watching from the entrance. His shoulders dropped at seeing her. He saw her everyday of course, but he hated how broken she was. Hated how he couldn’t do anything to help her. He despised how quickly life seemed to move on and how slowly she was moving, unable to catch up in the race that is life.
He silently joined her. She didn’t look up. She didn’t question. She could feel him and she knew how he was. Just by his aura. He sat next to her and she crumpled in his arms, her sobs escalating as he held her close. No words were audibly spoken, but it was as though a conversation was happening through the silence. They sat there as the memories flooded their minds.

Whatever happened to childhood,
Whatever happened to dreams.
Whatever happened to memories,
Whatever happened to me.
Junior year. Tristan had just died. She walked along the hallways, ignoring everyone’s pitiful stares.
“Imogen Heath.”
Imogen looked up to see the last person she wanted to see. Ms. Kiva. The school’s counsellor. Her counsellor if she ever went to her room in time without her finding Imogen.
“My office please.”
Imogen couldn’t remember if she nodded. She couldn’t remember moving. Clearly she had, her new sight was the inside of Ms. Kiva’s office. By the desk, someone was sitting on a chair. Imogen was met with the same gunmetal blue eyes she saw in the mirror every day.
“Take a seat next to Ezra.” Ms. Kira instructed. Her voice was calm and soft, yet unlike every other kid, Imogen wasn’t relaxed or soothed by her voice. Guess I’m just different. She thought as she did what was asked of her.
“She found you too huh sis?” Ezra whispered to his younger sister as she plopped into the chair next to him.
“Oh nooo, I came here on my own will.” She replied, rolling her eyes. He huffed in response. She was never sarcastic. Then again, she had never felt this empty either.
“Alright you both. Avoiding me won’t help.”
“Really? Cause it's worked pretty great up until now.” Ezra shrugged, leaning back on the chair. Imogen nodded. While she knew her brother could be an idiot, she had to agree with him.
“No jokes please Mr. Heath. How have you both been feeling?” Kiva asked, sitting on a chair in front of the desk, facing the siblings.
“Is this woman for real-” Ezra muttered, only audible to his sister.
“We’ve been feeling slightly better. It’s been hard but we’ve been reflecting. Once our parents come home we talk with our parents and we always talk to each other.”
The lie came so easily, Ezra almost blew it by questioning it, but a quick warning glance from Imogen stopped him.
“Imo’s right. We really have been doing better. Like extremely, super duper, words cannot des- ow…we’ve been doing better,” he said rubbing his arm where his sister had just hit him for over-doing it.
Ms. Kiva looked at them, analysing the siblings before nodding slightly. “Alright, if you need anything, you have my number.”
They nodded and got up to leave.
I was supposed to better,
I was supposed to be true.
But I,
I sold out too.
“Oh and Ms. Heath,” Imogen turned to look at the middle-aged woman. “Take care of yourself. Your grades have been slipping.”
She nodded and shut the door after leaving. Her grades were dropping horribly. But she had no intention of picking them up yet.
We said we’d make it together,
We said we’d never give up.
We gave each other forever,
But then we had to grow up.
Young Imogen was giggling as her brother played some magic tricks. Time progressed and soon, freshman year arrived. Imogen waited patiently for her brother to do a trick he always did on the first day of school ever since he learnt it.
It may have been childish or overused, but it was such a big important part of Imogen’s life, a tradition almost, that she felt incomplete without it.
That morning she grinned at her brother who was walking down the steps. Ezra gave her a questioning glance.
“Do you want something from me?” He asked, slinging his backpack across his shoulder.
“What? No…I just thought you would do the thing.”
“The thing?”
“You know, that thing you’ve always down where you take a pen from behind my ear and always say ‘Let’s go make this our year.’”
Ezra thought for a moment before realising what she was talking about.
“Come on sis, magic tricks are for children. You’re in high school now. Grow up.” He muttered, and started walking to the bus stop. Imogen stood in silence and sighed before running to follow him.
We were supposed to be stronger,
We were supposed to be true.
But we,
We gave up too.
“Yeah..I was being silly. They are for children.” She replied as she sat next to him at the back of the bus. He nodded in approval, but what he didn’t realise was that with that sentence said out loud, a part of Imogen was lost.
We all go numb,
We all go numb,
We all go numb.
Distract ourselves,
So we don’t see,
what we’ve become.
People clamouring the halls towards the Heath siblings at the start of junior year after a month's break. Imogen wanted to disappear. She wanted the ground to swallow her whole. She felt scared. Then, a hand pulled her into the classroom.
“Isla!” She gasped in relief as her best friend locked the door. The brunette gave her a lopsided grin.
“What would you do without me?” She joked. Isla was the only person other than her brother who knew how badly Tristan’s death actually affected Imogen.
Imogen laughed at her question and the duo didn’t comment on how hollow and fake it sounded. Despite actually enjoying the joke, Imo couldn’t feel like she could in the past. Nothing felt real enough for her. Nothing felt worth her actual emotions anymore.
Isla gave her a hug, and she hugged back, her heart feeling as cold as her skin on a winter’s day. Imogen had reached a stage where she couldn’t even cry, she just felt empty. Isla knew this and felt upset that she couldn’t do anything further to help her.
“I know how much you hate this question, but how are you doing?”
“I don’t know anymore, Isla. Everyday just feels the same at this point.”
“You know I’m here for you right? Forever and ever.”
Imogen nodded. She didn’t like how standoff-ish she sounded, but she couldn’t do anything about it.
We all go numb,
We all go numb,
We all go numb.
You comprise all you believe in,
Then you’re numb,
believe in nothing.
Isla sighed. She helped her sneak back out into the hallways without being spotted by any talkative people, knowing that Imo wouldn’t be up for talking to anyone.
The past few months cause her to be super introverted. She wouldn’t talk to anybody, she didn’t speak up in class. Most of all, she didn’t chat with her friend groups, just a select few like Isla.
Whatever happened to true love,
The kind you feel when you’re young.
When she was all you could think of,
I guess those feelings are gone.
Start of freshman year, she saw him. Tristan Carter, locally loved and appreciated and academically brilliant enough to get scholarships. They went to the same middle school and yet despite having a crush on him, Imogen had probably only talked to him twice.
He was generally close to her brother however. Through that, she managed to start getting the courage to talk to him. Afterwards, they became pretty close friends.
Soon enough it was Christmas on campus. Christmas was also the last day of school. People were cheering and teachers sighed knowing that nothing would happen educationally. Imogen scanned the crowds and went to Tristan.
“Hey Tris.” She said, calling him. He turned to look at her after clearing out his locker.
“Hey Imo! Merry Christmas!” He said with a grin. She replied with the greeting, matching his grin.
“By the way, can I ask you something…later? When we aren’t almost squashed by people.” She asked with a laugh and they pressed themselves against the wall since the next wave of high schoolers rushed through the halls.
“Yeah of course. After school?” He asked and she nodded in agreement.
Soon, they were both alone in the library. “So, what did you want to ask me?”
“Well it’s not much of a question, but it’s kinda more of like…a statement…” she said, getting a little awkward as the time went on.
He nodded encouragingly and she took a deep breath.
“I..uh..I like you Tris…and I mean…more than just friends.” She mumbled and he stared at her for a second to process what she had said.
“Oh.”
“Oh…oh I mean, if you wanna just stay friends- I didn’t mean, I just..ughhh.”  She rambled, feeling frustrated with herself.
“No no no!” Tristan said in a slight panic, holding her hand. He stared into her eyes, honey brown meeting the gunmetal blue of hers. “I said ‘oh’ because I was actually gonna ask you if you wanted to be more than friends this evening but you beat me to it.”
She gasped and then surprised them both by laughing. He joined in the laughs. “The answer is yes by the way.” She said with a shy smile to which he grinned wide.

My friends have started to settle,
Guess they just want to be two.
And I,
I’ll settle too.
But I,
I still want you.
Valentine's Day after his death was the most dreadful day. She would’ve spent the day with Isla and Ezra but they had plans with their own significant others and she didn’t want them to bail.
She spent her time in her room. Admittedly, she spent the first few hours crying alone. She couldn’t cry in front of people anymore. In fact, around people, she felt emotionless. Like as though someone had put all her emotions on anaesthetics.
However when she was alone, the anaesthesia wore off and she’s left going through the stages of grief all alone. It wasn’t ideal, but she felt like she couldn’t control what was and wasn’t good for her anymore. Like she was a puppet on someone else’s strings.
She then scrolled through her phone's album, enjoying the sorrow the pictures gave her. She had this alter ego arise in her. A different side of her who loved seeing her in pain. Who enjoyed the sadness. Who longed for it. She wasn’t even sure if the person she was seeing in the pictures was her anymore.

We all go numb,
We all go numb,
We all go numb.
Distract ourselves,
So we don’t see,
what we’ve become.
Senior year. The final high school year. The year she would take single and alone. People stopped asking her how she’s doing. People stopped talking to her in general.
Teachers asked her one question to make sure she was still there but left her be afterwards. Student general avoided eye contact with her and didn’t start up any conversations.
Imogen seemed to enjoy this. She hated when everyone faked their pity and asked her how she was, when they didn’t really care. They just wanted to seem ‘nice’. She despised the act.
She would go the day only talking to her best friend and brother, occasionally talking to a teacher if needed. She didn’t visit Ms. Kiva anymore. She stated she was fine, just needed to be alone.
If anyone asked her how she was doing, she would lie. She did it so much, it came naturally. No effort was needed and people, as she put it, were pathetic enough to believe her.
Yet whenever her brother asked her, she complied in telling him the truth.
“Numb.” She would say. “I feel numb.”

We all go numb,
We all go numb,
We all go numb.
You compromise all you believe in,
Then your numb,
Believe in nothing.
Ezra shifted his weight and Imogen looked at him, her eyes puffy and red from the hours of crying in front of the tomb. She was surprised to see a few stray tears from her brother.
“I’m sorry,” he mumbled, “I should’ve realised how bad this is for you.”
“I wasn’t making it very easy for you to know.” She said, her voice cracking slightly. She gave him a small smile and wiped his tears.
“Please tell me the truth when I ask this. How are you?”
“Surprisingly…I feel slightly better. While crying for hours straight wouldn’t be an ideal choice…it lifted some weight off my shoulders. I just wish…I could’ve stopped this from happening.”
“It was a car accident, Immie. You couldn’t have done anything.” Ezra said, using the nickname he hadn’t said since they were kids.
“Still…” she paused, thinking. “You’re right Ez. I can’t change what happened.” She decided with a nod.
“But I can still change the future. Tris always wanted to make an art gallery. I can help him do that.”
Ezra nodded. “I can help you…I’ll find some places while I’m in college. You’re okay with me going?”
“You’ve got a life bro. I can’t keep you away from it.”
“It isn’t a bother though.”
“I insist.”
“Fine…but..” he grinned and placed a hand behind her ear, extracting a pen from the back of her ear.
“Let’s go make this our year.”
Imogen laughed and for the first time in a year, she felt alive. Even Ezra could tell how real and raw her laugh was. He grinned.
“I should’ve done that so long ago. Now I know how much it meant to you. I was wrong before. Magic isn’t for children. Magic is for anyone with a good enough imagination to believe in it.” He said, his grin fading into more of a sad smile.
Imogen leaned over and hugged him. Physical affection also being something she had not done in a long time.
“Thank you Ez. For being there with me. For everything.”
He hugged back, relieved to see his sister back in normalcy.
“Always sis. Always.”
The Heath siblings stayed there a little while longer. When they left, they left fulfilled and for some, happier than when they came.

And thus begins my angst fic journey- listen i’m a real angst fic enjoyed so when i first heard this song, I immediately envisioned this story of a ‘death of first love’ kinda troupe. This story is again one of my older ones, from Sept. 2021 but i still really enjoy the way it came out.
Also this is my official account for my stories and edits so ig this is also technically the first story i’m posting here?? mainly cause i’m lazy to transfer the other stuff so it’s all been reblogged from my main.
anyways, hope you guys like this <33 have a great day/night and i’ll see you around :)

Edit Dump || boredom post?
just to preface, a lot of these edits will be from a while ago so all credit for pictures or psd (if used) goes to the original posters. i just won’t be able to remind the exact user tho-
the edits themselves are by me, edited on picsart (sometimes polarr, ibispaintx and photopea were used)
Tumblr media
why did it take me so long to even find one-
curse igcse i’m not able to edit much anymore :(
but yea, freddy carter as kaz edit!! the lyrics are from “ruthless” by @/bookishsongs actually ^^
──────── ⊹⊱❧❦☙⊰⊹ ────────
Tumblr media
*screams* it is taking me so long to find edits that aren’t just themes or birthday cards-
well now it’s another grishaverse edit for kit young as jesper- the song is ‘six of crows’ by @/viinas the song that got me into the grishaverse lol
i actually have a plan after my exams to make edits of all six crows again with their respective verse from the song lol
──────── ⊹⊱❧❦☙⊰⊹ ────────
Tumblr media
lmaoo this was actually an edit i made for @rin-core because man told me it
was impossible to make an aquamarine moodboard with mangoes and my urge to
be right in silly little arguments took that as a true challenge and this
was created lol-
──────── ⊹⊱❧❦☙⊰⊹ ────────
Tumblr media
same conversation led me to make a xanthous moodboard for @timecma lol-
cyrus provided the xanthous picture and yes i am very aware the cut was not
clean. believe me cutting a background off a guy of fire is not easy- also
that was done in like 10 mins so-
──────── ⊹⊱❧❦☙⊰⊹ ────────
Tumblr media
i’m actually quite proud of this- i don’t even remember when i made this but yay piper ^^
──────── ⊹⊱❧❦☙⊰⊹ ────────
Tumblr media
the beans <333 i love bomi and ethan so much-
they’re two characters from ly’s story (@introvertedwraith) with art credit from livie (@yunthesloth)
──────── ⊹⊱❧❦☙⊰⊹ ────────
Tumblr media
this was my first (and currently last-) attempt at those anatomy edits-
it does not look good lmao- but hey, we fail and we learn
──────── ⊹⊱❧❦☙⊰⊹ ────────
Tumblr media
okay why does this one actually look pretty good-
it was a while back but damn- i like this one
──────── ⊹⊱❧❦☙⊰⊹ ────────
i think i’m gonna stop it on that note lol- hope you guys enjoyed this kinda long post-
after my exams i’m dedicating more time to editing and writing because goddamn was it difficult to find posts for this that i could actually share-
till next time <33
