more Mauerfuchs art
on DeviantArt:
Mauerfuchs by Kalia24
Mauerfuchs by DrummerGirl375
elsewhere:
DragonBreedSizes by Mooir, an overview of many dragon breeds but sadly I am unable to find the source. It is up on the fandom wiki and here on a blog with breed names assigned to the numbers, where the Mauerfuchs is no. 20
(please let me know if I've missed something, so I can either reblog it or add it to this list!)

Rhiannon - my original character for a Temeraire RP. She’s a Mauerfuchs; a Prussian dragon from Naomi Novik’s Temeraire series.

This might be the very first art I've ever drawn for Temeraire and it'll turn 10 this August o.o The design has developed a bit since then; I've drawn a Mauerfuchs again in 2017 and 2018.

Mauerfuchs
Origin: Prussia Weight class: courier (b.3,ch.14,p.264), possibly sometimes approaching light-weight*
Appearance: unknown Real world inspiration: the butterfly Lasiommata megera, commonly called brown or wall brown, in German Mauerfuchs (literally “wall fox”) Egg: unknown Development: unknown
Other:  described as high-flying (b.3,ch.14,p.264), can sustain 20 knots (b.9,ch.17,p.292) which makes them fast dragons (b.9, ch.17, p.302)
Known dragons: none named
* “many of them only out of courier-class by a generous assessment—half a dozen of the Scots, two Prussian Mauerfuchs and then seven Grey Coppers and five Xenicas” (b.9,ch.17,p.300)
