something needs to be retconned or there needs to be new information given about price's true biological parents/past NEOOOWWW because can you see how utterly devastating it is to imagine a 10-year old boy on one side of the harbor while his father sails on the other with a different child in tow. a 10-year old boy whose father hardly thinks to mention him. a 10-year old boy whose father loves his fiancee, loves his family, but not enough to come home.

what does price look like as a kid? is there something off from the start? is there something wild in the way he smiles or empty in the way he stares or is there anything at all? does he look like a child? human? a living, breathing boy who was a baby, then a kid, and then a man? born with a pudgy face and a beating heart and hands that only knew how to cling to safety, to the shirt of his anchor, clean from blood and the sword's hilt?

whose nose does he have?

whose corruption did he inherit? was it purely his own?

reuben price is not just a figment of chip's nightmares, a personification, he's a person who was born, who was raised, who breathes and eats and sleeps and follows the exact same passage of time that chip does and from the arms of chip's family to the blood-soaked altar of captain price he LIVED. and isn't that so much more terrifying?
