Everyone's like "how is one skinny monkey going to be a threat to Godzilla and Kong?" No man, it's not a physical battle, it's an emotional one. Kong will have to battle with his inner feelings for Godzilla vs his homophobic dad's disapproval of their relationship.
The way Imtiaz Ali writes his films are so romantically beautiful, with the use of his characters who loves one another not only physically and emotionally, but spiritually too. From Jab We Met, to Highway, to Tamasha, then Laila Majnu. Lovers who are in eachother even in long distances, lovers who love to travel, share each others deepest wounds and secrets. Lovers who complete each other. I wish to see more of his works that are like this.
When Hemant Kumar sang "kIsko Phursat Hai Jo Thaame Deewane Ka Haath Humko Apna Saaya Tak Aqsar Bezaar Mila" and when KK sang "Kitna kuch kehna hai fir bhi hai dil mein sawal Kai" and when Taylor Swift sang "If you could see that I'm the one who understands you been here all along so, why can't you see?" and when Sonu Nigam sang"Kiska Hai Ye Tumko Intezar Main Hoon Na Dekh Lo Idhar To Ek Baar Main Hoon Na" and when-
You break my heart. I don't know but looking into your eyes makes me want to just go and love someone for eternity. How many of us know how to love a person when things go bad? Leave that, how many of us know how to fall in love with a person after things go bad? To love and ask nothing in return, only flowers know that kind of love. When you met Shiuli, you were a bud, childlike and ignorant but good-hearted. After Shiuli left, you took her place and became caring, loving and responsible like her. She couldn't tell you that she loved you, but her love was there, it was present in the way you changed and in the way the world around you changed too.
So many of us wish to be loved, but how many of us wish to love? How many of us would give up everything for just a chance at it? This world works on practicality, Dan, and you walked away from anything that didn't feel right to you. You found love in the dreariest place there can be and you made it bloom, you took care of it, you loved like a woman, you stopped at nothing. And you forgot how and when to give up.

October was an unusual love story, and many who watched it took away nothing from it. But I took home a flower, a night flower, and a love that keeps it all alive.

So Kaz tells Inej what her tell was right- Her squaring her shoulders before she starts a move. And then she asked what his was and all he could think about was that scene in SoC when he looked at Inej when Van Eck said kill them all. THATS HIS TELL-
i love that trope in stories esp tragedies which is just based on "i made a mistake" like... simply that. what is more tragic than human error? what is more haunting than an honest misstep? what could kill you quicker than guilt? it drives me bananas rly like whether it's idk accidentally killing someone, trusting the wrong person, making a bad call which shapes the rest of ur life or not making it on time for someone... all this especially if the character has been thru hell and just one mishap drags them back........
yeah well here’s a cool idea: start creating and start reblogging. leave nice comments to your favorite creators. send them prompts. start interacting with others. sounds wild, right? start it today. keep these fandoms alive.
"Thinking about history makes me wonder how I’ll fit into it one day, I guess. And you too. I kinda wish people still wrote like that. History, huh? Bet we could make some."
"A curious thing about grief is the way it takes your entire life, all those foundational years that made you who you are, and makes them so painful to look back upon because of the absence there, that suddenly they’re inaccessible. You must invent an entirely new system."
