I fed Bart some crickets yesterday and suddenly something in his lizard brain glitched and he sat like this. He sat like a dog.

Need Gecko Advice
I’ve had my crested gecko for over two months now, possibly three. I don’t know the age but but appearances my gecko seems to be female, she’s alone in her own zoomed tank with plenty of fake leaves, coconut soil, and a big stick she seems to really enjoy sitting on. Every month I change her soil, but the first time I did it she seemed very stressed by being still in the tank while I was scooping dirt. So next time I prepared a shoebox for her to sit in until I was done. I just changed her soil, the shoe box has paper towel along the bottom to help her walk better, I put her favorite stick in there, and a little pile of powdered food.
I need advice on how to get her to bond with/ trust me. She still won’t climb on my hand, but she doesn’t frantically run away either. It may be because of my inexperience, I’ve never owned a reptile before. When the gecko jumps, I jump, and I think maybe that scares her. All the times I’ve attempted to hold her I’ve somehow scared her or done something wrong. I’ve tried putting food on my hand. How do I repair the damage I’ve done and make her trust me enough to do normal gecko things?
