Also, most of those screenshots were very obvious ragebait from transphobes, but even the ones that aren't... yeah, there are assholes in every community? This is a known thing? There are also asshole lesbians and asshole gay men and the vast majority of the rest of us are sick of 'em. I know some asshole nonbinary folks and I, also a nonbinary folk, am sick of them, too.

Like... this isn't proof, this is just you screaming into the void and generalizing an entire group of people to fit your own agenda.

personal art. it seems like the tide of lgb folks turning to viciously attack trans folks has seen a sharp uptick recently, at a time when we, the trans community, need all the support and protection and community we can get. it was trans women who fought for your rights, it was trans women who were on the front lines, it was trans women who lead us into revolution. trans people have always existed and the community was built on their sacrifice, their blood and sweat and tears and corpses. how dare you reap what we sowed and then shun us from our own crops.

It's a really dark time. I went home early from work yesterday because the stress threw me into a medical episode. The re-election of Trump means four more years to gut my rights as someone with a uterus, as a queer person, as a person. Marginalized communities are mourning. We will be for a while. But we're also strong. We're resilient. We've fought tooth and nail for entire lifetimes before this and we'll keep on doing it. And it's a lot easier with more of us around.

To my community who are impacted: be strong. Build community where you can. Stay safe. But stay alive. We need you.
