Im disappointed with CH 331 and how the manga plot as has been going (a rant)

I honestly do not even know what I just read and saw with this latest chapter. Even the previous chapter was just...

We went from quirks being a physical extension of you body to now being some ominous anti-laws of physics shenanigan's.

I literally cant with this scene here. What the actual hell?!

Star and Stripes came out of nowhere and thats a problem im seeing in general. Heroes and villain's with convenient quirks are appearing for the sake of fitting whatever the situation is at the time and then get boddied.

They don't progress the plot.

Also I'm tried of seeing him slip in his fetishes like quentin tarantino

Really, Star and Stripes is this high class, high security hero and shigaraki just met her and figured out her quirk just like that? To me, that takes away from the story when the author basically breaks down every single detail with expositions.

Shigaraki is viewed as a global threat and AFO had connections in other countries. It would have been nice if we had earlier mentions and even some panels showcasing the world outside of Japan so that way the pieces would fall better when introducing foreign heros.

At this point, BnhA is like the plot of the musical cats. There really is no plot. Every new scene is just a character introduction and profile of their ability and who they are. It feels as if he is writing as he goes.

I really don't know whos story this is anymore.

Shigaraki has transformed into something completely inhuman (even in this world). He is in destructible. We have no idea how many quirks AFO is able to keep and what they all do. Every attack on him that he survives that could literally cause a global extinction is protected by that plot armor.

AFO goals and actions just seem completely out of pocket at this point (hes beyond being human too). Hes been alive for a long ass time but we dont know how. All we know is that he wants OFA, unspecified world domination, and its trying to pull and Orochimaru on Shigaraki.

Everything (the pacing, the characters) is just off. I thought it was going to be some type of break between the war arc to see more character development the class and Midoriya.

The war arc took almost a year to end in real time. After the end of the war arc and with everything that happened, we jump right into the prison break. Then the next chapter was midoriya dropping out of school and become a vigilante for 3 weeks and doing a 180 on his character. Then after that, we learn that we only have 3 days before Shigaraki goes plus ulta and destroys the world.

I'm just following this manga now to see how it ends. The way I feel now is exactly how I feel after the Pain arc from Naruto.

To be honest I think you’re kinda exagerating with this take, Nagant was literally a hero, she may have killed other heroes and before that he assassinated a lot of dudes but she always had the desire to save innocent people and she doesn’t kill just for the sake of it, then we got Stain who for all intents and purposes is a psycopath, one with a reason and good motive, but still he’s irredeemable and at no point he was treated as “one of the good guys” yeah it’s implied he’s been killing villains left and right but that doesn’t make it a “good guy” per se, he even asks All Might to go look for him to kill him himself, he knows there’s no redemption for him and he’s still gonna fight heroes after or even during this, while Nagant just said “damn this dude I’m working for may be a worst piece of shit than I thought and this kid may be the only real hero I’ve met since I started in this business”, then she helps and blows up and I can bet my sweet toned ass that she’s still going to jail after she recovers because she still murdered a lot of people, so I ask at what momen are they treated as good guys? when have they been redeemed? they literally did one good thing which anyone thinking on the greater good (which is totally in character for these 2 particular villains) would do. You could argue Hawks but the only person we have seen him actually kill is twice and if he didn’t literally everyone else would’ve died so it can be called justified.  .

I think I just discovered the “redeemibility” criteria for the villains. 

It has nothing to do with how despicable they may be - because Stain was willing to kill children just as much as the LoV

Or how many people they killed, because both Stain and Nagant has a long list of victims

Or whether they killed for ideology or personal reasons - because there are other villains out there with ideological motivations, like Re-Destro or Compress, wanting a more just world.

It doesn’t matter if they are able to feel compassion - because hello? Twice? the most compassionate of the bunch…

Or whether they chose villainy freely or were manipulated onto that path - because on that front you have Shigaraki who never really had a true choice

It doesn’t matter if they are fully aware of their actions, or if they have mental breakdowns - Toga and Twice have worse mental issues than Stain. 

Even regret doesn’t matter - after all even Overhaul did feel regret for at least what he did to Pops.

The only relevant factor to be redeemed in the story is that they recognize Deku as the “ONE TRUE HERO”. Once they do that they are all but let off the hook by the narrative for all their wrongdoings.

I want the main villains to be saved and given the choice of redemption, but I really want a better reason, than the day they start to STAN Deku is the day they are counted in the ranks of the good guys. 

Yes, I’m still extremely salty about Stain being made into this “pure hero” who ends up being All Might’s saviour, plus gets crucial information for free and well, I’ll never not be salty about Nagant and her idiotic character arc and resolution.

A very big post that im proud of! Ko's updated, official (probably wont redesign anymore) ref sheet! Even if do redraw it itll be like, some years after i hopefully improve!

She has a black belt in karate, she is a dan 1.

Her hobbies are mobile games and making clothes. She either alters what shes already bought or makes one from scratch- but since the latter is difficult to do she does it rarely.

Tried learning parkour for two years cause she was bored.
