My only headcanon for Scott is that after all the chaos with his little ginger cult (even after his game events) he was giving custody to other close family members and slowly started to cut contact with his buddies

I don't think that Scott would get along with the airsoft teens, idk but I feel that the generational gap between those two (Scott = early 2000s and the airsoft teens being more 2020s coded and they have sm brainrott) Is way too difficult to see them getting along in my head😭 but I do see Dylan and Nathan being friends with them but not like bestie, idk I just think that those two are really able to just keep doing with their lives

Scott was literally in a mental institution, I'm not sure if that guy is even in a sane head space at all

I headcanon Idrees having a bad relationship with his mom, like a really bad one to the point he probably got neglected by her and had to rely in his siblings that probably didn't like him that much and made him feel like a burden even in his teens and that's why he is mostly ignored in his family, idk, I just feel in my bones that this guy didn't had enough maternal love in his life

In my head (if) Idrees died in the movie as is kinda implied he wil he def would be crying and begging for his mom even if he knows he wasn't that important for her or his whole ass family, but who knows

He probably picks the skin of his fingers while being in a anxious state until is painful enough and he gets backs to his tracks

He is quite the cat hater person because he doesn't fully understands or even wants to learn that cats have boundaries and it needs actually time to make a bound (subtle foreshadowing for his dynamic with Fatima)

He's crusty af (in my head he is def insecure about his looks, he feels so unloveable)

He probably got bullied in school or in his home by siblings/older kids so that's why he searchs to he in a position of power to feel safe and in control

CONTROL FREAK, there's no other way this guy is mentally okay, I personally think that he deals with cronic pain and cronic stress, not having meds probably makes him be that aggresive and so reactive since dude in my head is in cronic pain every freaking breath (just like me, I deal with both for years and now I need him to suffer too)

He’d view ‘getting a wife’ as basically equivalent to owning a property, rather than him being actually physically attracted to kids. But more importantly, his idea of what makes someone an adult has been corrupted by the fact that he’s been a child soldier since he was like 12 and experienced severe adultification while under the Taliban, alongside him viewing himself as way more mature (at least he wants to think of himself as ‘a man’) than he actually is despite being a teenager

But in my own opinion I think that what he said about Parvana while talking to Nurullah was more to get under his skin/mess around with Parvana's father or idk but he sure seemed to be butthurt while talking with Nurullah, his problem was WITH HIM to start off, when I rewatch the first part of the movie Idrees address him and directs his anger to him, he probably mess around him to show off (specially since he was bragging about being in the Taliban = sense of having power)

I think that is that way since he DOESN'T even address Parvana at any moment based on the fact that his misogynist ass as you said, this idiot didn't even address her as a person, but more as a tool to use to bother Nurullah

He literally in the other part of the movie he appears he address Parvana as "the teacher's daughter" not like her own person at all, just look at this idiot, dude doesn't care enough

In resume in my interpretation what he said in the bazaar it was mostly to use against his old teacher that he has some clear hate and resentment

He did cause Parvana problems by accusing her father to the Taliban and making him be out of the picture, but he literally went to accuse him of having books (yes he was butthurt due to their interaction in the bazaar) but like, BOOKS, something like a former teacher would (probably) obviously have in his possession. He probably knew it or guessed it and used it in his favor to get to Nurullah because HIS DAMM PROBLEM WAS WITH HIM😭

After that he never bothered Parvana in the rest of the movie, he literally got done what he wanted, ruin his old teacher's life because he IS A BUTTHURT IDIOT

Okay, estaba practicando paletas de colores y solo por curiosidad se me ocurrió usar tu dibujo de Idrees para hacer experimentos...

Hay algunos detalles que todavía quiero modificar (como los ojos saltones y el sonrojo anime, las sombras etc) pero te lo envío por que se lo dificil que es encontrar paletas de colores para dibujos en digital cuando vienen de bocetos tradicionales (al menos para mí)

I wanted to also ask, how old is Fatima? I thought Malik would be 18-25 while Fatima was around Idrees’ age ,or a few years younger, like 15-17

Ngl l really love the idea of Fatima and Idrees getting decently aquatinted with each other before the Taliban’s reign. I really wanna know about their dynamic as kids. We know that Idrees was a good student, but he might have felt that educational prowess didn’t give him the respect and power he wanted, prompting him to join the taliban. I’ve seen ppl headcanon that Idrees was recruited around 12-13 so it’d probably be a vulnerable time in his life where he felt relatively powerless ,and that would give Fatima a unique window into understanding Idrees as a person

ALRIGHTTTTT (I already answer the Malik question, once again he is def in fact in his 20s🙏 and Fatima is probably around 2 years younger than Idrees or so)

They didn't really get THAT along as kids tbh😭 I maybe could do a second part of their youth because I will address the time lapse when they were kids :PPP

Fatima probably didn't mind Idrees that much as kids but is not like she didn't had a strong personality at a young age (Ali's baby just wanted to play)

They probably had tons of awkward interactions as kids, I always had a small idea on my head that it was Idrees's mom who pushed him the most to interact to Fatima and her family (mostly due to Ali's business being a matter of interest involve in all this after all)

Taking Idrees's to tea afternoons with Jamila (Fatima's mom) and Fatima, probably after school or from time to time (even if Idrees hated it) -> Malik didn't liked to play that much with Idrees, he had already a group of friends back in the day

I also hc Idrees to be born in summer and Fatima in winter, Idrees's mom probably tried to use that as a "they would be a good match" while talking about their personalities but them as tiny kids DIDN'T had the expected personalities😭😭😭

Fatima was probably too blunt as a kid and Idrees wasn't that social, maybe even shy. Fatima would be the first one to call him out for being a weird kid back in the day and he would probably feel offended that a little girl called him weird, they both have their own strong personalities tbh (Idrees in specific because he sure didn't 't regulated his emotions as a kid and never knew how to do so) that's why I see them when getting to see each other again in the future not having a good relationship or any good interactions

Idrees's mom is indeed one of the friends that Fatima's mom, Jamila, had before the Taliban's reign. She probably tried to get Jamila on her side to see if Fatima could be promised to Idrees in the future (mostly to secure that Idrees could be in the future the new owner of Ali's store) but Ali probably didn't agree

But I feel that it was a topic that ended without an answer when the Taliban was set and Fatima's mother and Idrees's couldn't keep being that much in contact and had to stay more in their own homes the same way Fatima and Idrees did cut contact
