Accidentally using the camera in the middle of a fight in Breath of the Wild is fun but scary

Breath of the Wild part 4:

- Swam up those waterfalls

- this guy sucks

- like seriously I hope I can just get the things without killing him

- okay thank goodness

- I can stop getting blown up now

- glide down to the docks

- gotta go ride my friend that sounds so weird-

- keep shooting the orbs and nothing happens

- I’m an idiot

- equip my electric arrows and shoot the orbs to get in the elephant

- shot some eye thing with an arrow that was fun

- it said I need the map? So I have to unlock all these things to get it?

- first terminal easy

- go up

- more weak guardian dudes time for bombs I guess

- haha boomerang throw

- oh no boomerang didn’t come back

- ice stuff very nice

- I have no idea what I’m supposed to do here?

- big gear needs move but nothing connected to it?

- nothing to freeze or magnet?

- stasis can get the ball in the slot but it falls out. Can’t stasis it in the slot bc cool-down

- okay I’m an idiot

- I spent like 20 minutes all over this place before realising that I can get the map already and also I need it to move the trunk

- oops

- the rest of the terminals were pretty easy after that

- I get the feeling I’m gonna summon a boss here so imma save

- yeah it summoned a boss here

- I don’t think my bomb strategy is going to work

- got him to second stage but now I’m out of bows and ammo how to hit?

- reloaded my save I’m gonna get some more bows

- came back to the boss time to try again

- this time I did that dodging thing that that one shrine told me how to do. Actually very helpful lol way quicker than bombs and arrows

- killed the boss finally. Boss fights aren’t my favourite things in games, as soon as there’s a giant health bar I’m going to do badly. But it was okay I guess

- more health that’s nice

- I guess everyone doesn’t hate me now that’s great

- I got a spear that I’m never gonna use because so far it seems like spears can be thrown once and only once

- well that was fun. Kinda

- side quest time I guess

- gotta go kill a “Hinox” hope it’s easier than that Lynel guy

- okay I can’t stealth kill him that’s unfortunate

- oh no he has a big health bar

- okay he was actually pretty easy just shoot the eye and go for it

- that was easy

- well I have a bunch of stones so I traded them in for a couple of diamonds so that’s nice

- I’ve just been blowing up all the ore veins with bombs but the stuff goes everywhere. Wonder if there’s a better way??

- gotta go find a bunch of lore tablets now

- I feel like I should be paying attention to the story but they’re all out of order so I give up

- got a Zora helmet that’s nice

- took my gear to the fairy and turned in some orbs that I got along the way

- need more fish and more talons

- some painter guy wants a photo so okay

- finished his quest he’ll tell me where a memory is

- maybe next time haha

Breath of the Wild part 3:

- found another nut thing because I stacked some boxes, but the guy wants two

- got to the village

- bought a stealth hat yay

- spoke to an old lady

- she said come back when I wanna risk my life so I left

- but then I had nothing to do so I came back

- climbed a mountain looking for a shine

- found one but saw a bunny

- bunny vanished

- found a big cactus asking for money. I don’t trust it but whatever here goes nothing

- damn she’s big

- I guess she can enhance my stealth mask then. That’s nice of her

- oh she’ll let me enhance my pants too, that’s nice

- that robot in the shrine was kinda hard and it broke half my weapons but I guess it’s nice to know how to dodge

- Nevermind these chests just gave me better weapons lol

- heading towards the other village

- killed a couple of deer (?) with a boomerang. I caught on the second one. Also killed a fox with an arrow. I hope there’s no inventory limit on materials

- I see a giant. I hope he is friendly

- he wasn’t friendly. I jumped off a cliff

- travelled back to the duelling peaks tower and climbed a mountain for a shrine. It had a riddle so I went to the other one

- copied the pattern. Didn’t find a chest??

- went to the first one again and found the chest

- got another Korok seed because I pushed a boulder between some trees after getting the second chest

- plan was to glide into that spike shrine I found earlier and it worked well

- I liked that one, it was fun

- hey it’s Beedle. I remember him from Phantom Hourglass

- sold him a sapphire hope those aren’t useful

- the (second) greatest horse trainer challenged me and was very offended when I refused lol

- tamed a horse. I got a brown and wanted grey but it’s okay I guess

- something about Misko treasure

- tried horse combat. Didn’t like it

- who plants flowers like this. I get it’s a maze but Magda’s a bit silly imo

- turns out you can blow up chests. Good to know

- I wonder if Magda will be mad if I use my sword on her flowers

- meh she just seemed a bit upset

-found another stable. Some guy wants me to go to apparently the most dangerous place to ever danger and find a cookbook? He’s gonna be waiting a while lol

- floated around with a chicken. Just for old times sake lol

- found another temple/shrine thing

- those climbing things took a while to line up but we got there

- some rocks tried to kill me so I threw some bombs at them

- there was a big tower but too many guardians. I couldn’t climb the tower without being targeted so I give up

- imma climb a mountain

- found heaps of herbs

- found a shit tonne of apple trees so I’m cutting them down

- I hope this lightning won’t be an issue

- I picked up a rock in a tree and found another Korok seed that’s nice

- I dropped the rock on the guy oops

- almost got hit by lightning but it just set the tree on fire. Starting to think this lightning isn’t just for aesthetics

- that tree got hit a lot. I did not. Happy days

- I’m in Shae Loya shrine if that means anything

- yeah idk what to do I’m leaving

- this guy at the stables gave me 500 rupees to find a fairy. I wasn’t planning to but I found her pretty easily

- this is like the fifth person to complement my appearance lol

- found another shrine with a bunch of big trolls (?) everywhere

- got into the shrine but it’s a combat trial and I’m scared so imma just go

- gave the fairy guy the good news, he seemed happy

- went back to the leaf guy to get more bag space and now he’s gone off somewhere idk

- okay I should probably get beck to the area I should be in

- started heading towards my actual objective, which is Hateno (?) village

- found like a graveyard of guardians and one started shooting that’s rude

- I tamed a horse on the way, I’m starting to like them it’s faster

- the horse got stuck in some rocks while I was looking for somewhere to register it. RIP that I guess

- got to Hateno and got a lovely tour

- committed some arson for the lovely people and can now take pictures

- heading towards that other guy they said could help

- ran into some fish guy guess I have to go to his house now

- it was an interesting trail full of running away but the fish people seem to think I’m courageous enough. Except for the ones that hate me of course

- I never knew that Link had a love interest but here we are I guess

- gotta swim up some waterfalls next time guess

Day 2 of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

- okay so I’m on a cliff. Instead of jumping I’m gonna just teleport to one of the other places

- oops that was the place with all the turrets guess I’ll run for my life then

- grabbed a frog. Poor guys gonna get eaten alive

- ran into more mobs. Blue one one-shotted me. Rude.

- came back, threw a bomb and blew up the weaker ones

- threw another bomb and blew myself up but it’s okay I’m still alive. And I have food

- blew up a bomb and missed. Got hit again but still have a bit of health

-blew him up *again* and he’s getting kinda low

- guy is back to full health? That’s not fair only I’m allowed to do that

- shot all my ice arrows and missed

- shot all my fire arrows and hit him

- managed to kill him by running away and dropping the square bombs on him. I feel more accomplished than when I didn’t drown in mud

- loot was more fire arrows I approve

- shot another pig thing but it jumped off a cliff

- :(

- blew myself up again, still haven’t figured out the range on those bombs

- climbed a tree and stole some eggs

- found a rock golem but managed to do no damage. In a rare display of self preservation I decided to run away and not spend the next half hour trying to kill it

- found another skull cave but it’s empty feels like a trap

- nah it’s all good??

- climbed the mountain in search of the other dungeon

- it was cold tho

- the old man said he’d give me his warm doublet. Idk what a doublet is but he said warm so imma go get that. His thing says seafood near the tower so I’m gonna try fish

- fish worked, I guess doublet is a fancy name for a jumper

- climbed back up the mountain

- saw a raft, maybe I can take it across

- cut some trees in order to make my way over because the bridge was broken

- got over to the dock but fell in the water anyway

- survived and got there in one piece

- raft is gone

- waited for a while no raft

- went back across and tried to light a fire, still unsuccessful the flint didn’t work neither did the bomb

- raft is back

- got on the raft

- now I am on the raft but it is not moving

- stood around a bit and now it’s moving, hopefully it doesn’t take me off a waterfall

- apparently there was a bridge there the whole time but okay this works too

- some goblins threw some rocks at me and I threw some bombs back. We had a good time

- sweet I’m Elsa now

- shrine was pretty easy

- this guy knows my (Link’s) name he knows who I am

- tried to get the chest in the middle of the lake. Was less easy but we got there, only died twice

- he said to draw lines on the map but imma just guess it’s the place with the statue

- yay more heart

- yeah I was right

- also right about him knowing stuff, guess he’s a king now lol

- welp time to go save a princess I guess

- I mean he says that i have to hurry but I’ll probably get diverted more than a few times along the way

- wind shrine was pretty easy tbh

- smart guy guarding the thing but also silly because it would kill him easily. Not much winning there

- old guy said to go between the mountains but around looks quicker

- found another tower that’s nice

- Link climbs very slowly

- died again, if only someone (possibly like 3 separate NPCs perhaps) had warned me about the sentinels. This is what I get for trying a shortcut

- back at the tower? I guess I’ll go between the mountains then, road is hopefully safer

- found another shrine but it had spikes everywhere. I just left it

- girl is nice for giving me a pot

- Blood Moon had risen. I wonder if you can just not talk to that guy?

- horses, that’s nice I will try to get one

- I failed to get the horse

- succeeded at killing a goat tho

- everyone is giving me directions to the wrong village lol

- plant guy wants his maracas

- go to the mobs

- oh god there’s three blue ones

- some NPC showed up mid fight, poor guy looks traumatised

- my method of dropping bombs and running away has yet to fail me, we got the maracas

- Bugus gave me food for “saving him” but I’m not about (or able) to correct him

- an extra inventory slot for some maracas and that seed the flower said to give to someone (can’t remember who lol, hope it wasn’t too important)? Sure I’ll take it

- okay now I gotta go lol, fun game tho

Started Breath of the Wild today, here are my notes:

- climbed a tree

- jumped off a cliff and died (gotta test out fall damage and dying)

- the loading screen tells me that fall damage is a thing. I wonder if that is on purpose or just (un)lucky? Either way pretty funny

- picked up a stick

- pestered an old man

- tried to hit him with the stick but he dodged and didn’t care :(

- stole his torches, apple and axe

- set myself on fire and then ate the apple to heal the heart

- climbed an apple tree for its apples and then cut it down

- threw an apple at the old man and then cooked it

- killed some creature thing

- managed to turn off my destination in the tutorial where it tells you how to turn it on

- one shotted a slime w/axe. Nice

- Cut down another apple tree, tree and apples fell in water and I gave up on them

- cut down another tree bc I’m already doing deforestation so why not

- realised my destination was off and turned it back on

- killed a guy next to my destination w/his own sword and shield bc he dropped it

- realised that these guys drop loot (didn’t loot the other one)

- saw two more on a hill w/bows

- they shot the ground for a while but I took mercy and killed them

- now I have a bow lez goooo

- put tablet in stone and now there’s towers everywhere? They feel evil but idk maybe they’re good

- turns out the towers work for me? Still dunno if that’s good or not, i mean the second thing I did after leaving the cave was jump off a cliff, and I did set myself on fire on purpose at some point so…

- stuck on a tower am I supposed to jump off or something? Have already confirmed that this game has fallen damage tho

- old man comes flying in and says that jumping off of cliffs is stupid. I feel personally attacked

- oh no now I have to follow him I hope he’s not slow

- he is slow but he said the Treebeard thing so I guess I can spend the time entertaining myself w/Treebeard quotes

- jumped in water. Caught some fish. Everything says to cook but I hope there’s a better way than chucking everything on fire. Wonder if things can burn?

- man axes are so much better at cutting down trees than swords are

- got an acorn from that tree my sword killed

- drowned in mud. This old man sent me after treasure probably thinking it was fool proof but I died to mud before I could even get there. RIP

- found a treasure chest in the mud. Tried to jump to it. Drowned in mud. Actually fully died and now I’m back with the old man

- cut down another tree and now my sword is damaged. At least I got another stick, now I have like 4 so we should be sweet

- went inside and got magnet powers. Left and used magnets to get the chest in the water. Treasure was easy lol

- threw a box through the air for shits and giggs

- tried to use the metal boxes to platform through the mud to the chests

- broke all but one box because they are weirdly fragile

- go back downstairs to try reset boxes

- realise the floor is magnetic and Zelda “you found something” sound plays

- probably not as easy of a task as I thought

- am now wondering if I can magnet those chests towards me?

- left the cave to find more boxes and ran into a skeleton

- killed skeleton with his own arm?

- had to drop some sticks to pick up the other skeleton’s arm :(

- I like the weapon that’s still flailing around over the stick tho

- yay the box respawned

- took two over and stacked them in the mud, ran back for the third one

- found a chest in the water idk if I missed one or it respawned?

- the boxes in the mud despawned but it’s okay because I found a metal beam that was perfect

- got attacked by another skeleton. My skeleton arm broke so I picked up his and killed him

- dunno how much I like this durability. On one hand i don’t usually like it. On the other weapons are easy to get, especially mid fight so it’s probably fine

- chests had some arrows

- Shot a fire arrow to see if you could pick it up like the others but no, I’ve just added arson to my list of crimes. Oops

- okay I went back to the cave now

- lol the statue commended my resolve, I guess it missed the part where I ditched twice haha

- man some of these dialogue options are so rude. I refuse to demand his glider so aggressively. I have put this man through enough (and stolen enough ) so far and no doubt will do it again

- also rude

- this man backed out of the deal. Which is fair I did steal his apple. And he definitely knows more than he lets on. I like him

- such as the secret of teleportation apparently

- probs he has a sheila stone too and is trying to mentor me? For better or for worse ig. Hope he’s a good guy

- makes me find more smh

- turrets are mean also I used up a few more of my fire arrows and it did no damage also I died again

- snuck past these bitches it’s ok I guess. I got the the stone either way

- found some bombs

- blew myself up for science

- it hurt a bit

- half a heart is left but don’t die die die

- ran out of those fish I caught :(

- got thrown by a big pushy thing for science and fun and most importantly loot, we got more amber I hope it’s useful bc now I have 2

- how come I take fall damage when I jump off a cliff but these things can fling me a while and I take none? I mean I’m glad I don’t take damage here but it’s like they was me to go get that glider thing or something

- statue says I’m resourceful like bro did you miss the part where I blew myself up on purpose

- turrets are still there, unsurprisingly. Link tried Throwing a Bomb. It was not at all effective. Link tried Run Away. Worked like a charm

- went back to the starting area to cook my remaining apples. I see myself using them soon. Tried to cook the herbs that said they could be cooked but they just died. Maybe I need to find a pot?

- decided to go look at the old castle thing

- accidentally threw a lot of bombs in the castle but I don’t think I damaged anything

- immediately started smashing ancient and probably priceless antiques/relics, which is on par with what I remember from the DS games I played (mostly Phantom Hourglass, couldn’t get past the Zelda part of the tutorial for Spirit Tracks, oops) Also remember cutting grass with my spin move

- Got told to piss off and be better so I guess I’ll do that

- killed a pig(?) boar(?) some type of animal because why not at this point

- found more mobs

- AHHH BEEES!!!

- my (admittedly very little) experience with bees in Zelda games says run away or possibly do the spin? Can’t spin so ran away

- shot the nest, shot the bees, got some honey

- found a house I think I’m stealing from the old man again. I don’t blame him for making me work I’ve stolen everything I can so far

- cooked a herb and it didn’t die this time so that’s nice

- read his diary like a weirdo. He sounds lonely he just wants his recipe but he’s gonna get home and I’ve stolen his pitchfork

- old man let me sleep in his bed. This guy is nice. I hope he doesn’t end up evil

- I cut some wood for him I hope he likes it

- he doesn’t seem impressed with my cooking, and now he knows I’ve been snooping

- he seems cool with it tho?

- idk if he knows who I am but I like the idea of an old wise man seeing a young person running around a fantasy world and kinda just adopting them

- found the spin move :)

- what do I have to climb a mountain now? Like how?

- okay I made it, it was actually pretty easy

- I love how the temperature is in Celsius but also doesn’t display a number, only colours. Feels targeted towards the USA ngl. Idk fahrenheit makes no sense to me but you do you

- so they’ve given me bombs, magnets and Force Slow. Is there gonna be a boomerang at some point?

- haha that rock flew

- for once I didn’t screw up a trial so I’ll take resourceful. Even if I did spend some time attacking random mobs. They’re just trying to have a family dinner but no, I have better ideas

- alright I think it’s time for me to sleep it’s late haha

Overall, this game is pretty fun so far, will play again
