Having the Giglio Nero manor’s kitchen to herself was a novel experience for Luce: not having to weave around her Famiglia trying to tell her to rest, to sit down and let them take care of things, was something found that she rather... liked, even if it was ever so slightly unsettling. However, she put aside her feelings of unsettlement to get breakfast for all three of them ready, wondering how long it would take before Six would finally trust her Famiglia’s chefs to cook for him.
“Here.” Luce smiled as she placed down a plate in front of Six, gesturing for him to try it. “It’s the simplest breakfast that I could make at short notice.”
After a bit of silence he decides to answer her question with a nondescript grunt of acknowledgement. He’s not unhappy in the slightest about being able to finally have an actually filling breakfast, but he’s not about to act chipper and behave himself as thanks for the luxury either– Luce will have to be content with his indifference.
And she probably is. With her personality, Mukuro wouldn’t be surprised if she was content just because he’s being relatively compliant.

Yuni was a delight to watch and to speak to; Luce would’ve felt the stinging of tears in her eyes had she not been overcome by pride and an honest sense of--reverence towards the man who had created the Pacifiers in the first place. Kawahira had given her an opportunity she would’ve never had had if he hadn’t placed the spirits of past Arcobalenos within the Pacifier.
“I... I’m glad that Aria thought highly enough of me that she would talk to you about me. I wish I could’ve stayed longer, but I wasn’t...” She trailed off, unable to explain that she’d had to go, that her lifespan as the Arcobaleno had finally ended and that Kawahira had to use her to rejuvenate the Pacifier so that Aria wouldn’t succumb to the Curse instead. “Will you tell me about yourself, love?” She asked finally, smiling at her granddaughter. “It isn’t quite fair that you know about me, and that I know only what the Pacifier has shown me!”
Tumblr media
I’m happy too. All that she wished was see her grandmother once and now she was seeing her and talking with her. Because of the sky arcobaleno curse Yuni knew she was never going to see her grandmother alive and neither pass too much time with her mother.
So it was like a miracle and one time chance. Mother had a picture of you in her room and she talked about you a lot when I was younger, so I got curious to know how you were. Now I’m seeing that you’re exactly like she said.

“You’ve done so much more than you’ve realised, Yuni,” Luce replied, words soft as she watched her daughter’s child with almost hungry eyes. She’d missed so much, had had so little time to be with both Aria and Yuni. And the lack of the sense of touch was less of a blessing now that she was in front of Yuni.
The girl looked so much like her. Sounded like her. It was almost as if she were looking into a mirror and seeing herself at Yuni’s age--but her granddaughter had done so much more, had been meant for much greater things. So--"I am... happy,” she said finally, a smile slowly spreading across her features.
Tumblr media
I didn’t too much, my mother did mostly of the things so far. She was a kid and honestly didn’t had too much time for be doing anything at all. Yuni was happy to see her grandmother it was the first time that she was able to talk with her after all.
All that she wished to do was hug Luce and enjoy the hug, but she knew that was not so easy hug a spirit. Even so she was happy, happy for be able to see her. So… how are you?

“Ah... Yuni.” Luce’s words were quiet, almost hesitant. This was... the first time she’d ever lay her eyes open her daughter’s daughter; the first time she ever heard Yuni’s words directed towards her. And oh, how the emotion inside burned, swelling up and making her eyes well up with unshed tears, pain pulsating from her heart.
“I... I’m so glad to finally be here too,” she murmured, reaching out slowly, hesitantly, for Yuni’s hand. She curled her fingers into a fist, dropping her arm. Too quick, too sudden. “Yuni, I’ve been watching over you and your mother, Aria, all this time, unable to speak to you two to tell you just how much I’m proud of what you’ve done.”

It’s a nice surprise to see you grandmother. She was smiling, even if she was not sure of why her spirit was there. The young arcobaleno was looking for the pacifier when the object glows and bringing her spirit to there, but she was not sure of what Luce really wished or what type of help Yuni needed.

Luce had had the foresight not to call the rest of her famiglia to eat with them, instead directing the bulk of her people to dine at their own discretion rather than join her in the kitchen, as they would’ve done before Six came to join them. When the boy moved to sit down, she gestured for Alpheo to sit down first. When he did so, Luce finally began to scrounge things together to make Six his cookies. Perhaps she could make some other types too, not just chocolate chip?
“The cookies will take a long time to cool, so we’ll have breakfast while we wait, alright?” She said a few minutes after she’d settled into the rhythm of--well, not cooking, but baking. She’d never been the best at cooking, but she was rather proud of her pastries. (She could get even Viper and Reborn to sample them! And that was quite the accomplishment.)
Mukuro is on his way out of his bedroom when Alpheo crosses him, and he begrudgingly listens to the rules he ignored the night before; repeating them without being asked to prove he’s ‘listening’– He’d rather not be pop quizzed after.
When they’re done he asks to be left alone so he can go to the bathroom, and he’s mildly irritated when he leaves and Alpheo is there waiting. He doesn’t like having a chaperone.
He says nothing to Luce when he’s brought to the kitchen, deciding to quietly sit where he was last night. He wonders if the rest of the family will come to join, and he hopes not. Two people hovering over him is two people too many– he doesn’t need more.

Luce shifted back slightly when the scientist rolled onto his back, now facing the ceiling. Her expression was clearly conflicted, wishing to help Verde even though he silently expressed his refusal. Unable to do anything but sympathise and offer him company, she got off her knees, settling more comfortably on the laboratory floor. Well, as comfortable as she could get on a cold metallic surface.
“I doubt anyone else would be able to figure it out if you haven’t,” she said placatingly, putting a faint, hopeful smile on her face when it seemed that he was attempting to open up to her. At the very least, he was trying. She knew that the rest of the Arcobaleno, save for Skull and perhaps Colonello, wouldn’t dare to expose themselves so willingly. Verde was... surprising, in that particular aspect. “Is it something that I can help with?” Though she really doubted it. She’d never been the most technologically gifted.
Verde wasn’t expecting Luce’s company and quite frankly, even she would not be able to lift his spirits- that is unless she could magically restore so many precious weeks of data. However, if she could accomplish such a feat, it would more likely hurt the other’s ego than put him at ease.
“Oh, hello Luce- N-No thank you. You know I don’t particularly care for tea…” She was just being kind. Verde sighed loudly and rolled onto his back, now glancing up at the gentle woman. “I honestly do not know what happened. It’s frustrating. I dismantled everything, rebuilt it, switched out parts, and yet it still doesn’t work. It’d be a huge setback to lose all of that information, but at this rate I think I need to start from the beginning….” The defeatist tone was almost pathetic, but Verde had every right to be frustrated and depressed.

Seeing her dear friend strewn upon the floor beside an obviously defected machine made Luce’s sympathetic heart flutter, and she quickly entered the lab, getting down onto the floor next to him. “Oh dear... Verde, would you like some tea?” She asked soothingly, laying a hand over his shoulder, gently coaxing him up. “Let’s get you out of this lab for a few hours...”

Luce let out a soft laugh at his words, feeling rather touched by his almost concern. He behaved just like Fon did, before he'd... mellowed out. It didn't help either that they shared similar features. Smiling at him, she tucked a few stray locks behind her ear. "My Famiglia... well, they'll be here soon, I suspect," she replied. Her response was vague enough that she didn't necessarily answer his question.
Lapsing off into a few moments of silence, she looked around them, taking in the sights of a rather lazy city. It certainly wasn't as busy as Milan, for example. She found it rather... charming, that it was so quiet yet lively--and she could see why so many of her friends had chosen to reside here, or return often. It certainly had a certain on ne sait quoi to it.
"... Feel free to ask me any questions you have, Hibari-san," she murmured suddenly, turning blue eyes from the city to his face. "I'm sure that you have a lot of things to ask of me." Clasping her fingers together, she appraised Hibari's features with a curious look, wondering what he was thinking of.
He had almost anticipated a rejection, since she was a mafia don, while Hibari was practically a total stranger to her. A brow twitched slightly when she easily agreed, more amused than surprised. Perhaps she was one of those who could detect killing intention, and the ex-prefect certainly did not have any. He just wanted information anyway.
A nod was given and he motioned her to follow him. The library would have to wait for now, and he would take her to his base, where it would be more likely to find the said people. He would take the long way though, so they had time to talk.
Tumblr media
"Your subordinates?" he asked, glancing behind her. "Are they coming, or have they abandoned you?" He was all serious about that question. Surely they should not leave her side, since she did not look like the kind who could defend herself very well.

Luce blinked at the rather cunning way he twisted things around, unable to hold back a fond smile at the reminder of her various friends. Reborn, in particular, made it an art to be as cunning and sly as possible. Should she agree, though? To tell him about her link to the Arcobaleno in exchange for meeting them?
It would be reckless to agree, considering how they would've sensed her Sky Pacifier the moment she arrived in Namimori and she wouldn't need him to guide her... but this child had piqued her interest.
Letting her smile stay in place, she tilted her head. "I would be more than happy to," she acquiesced, gesturing with her hand for him to take the lead.
The smile on her face told Hibari that this woman was far from being an ordinary mafia boss visiting her friends for vacation. He looked her over once more, trying to gather from his memory bank any information about the peculiar group. Luce…Luce.
Tumblr media
"If you are looking for them right now, I may know where they are." Reborn, at least. "And I can take you, if you like. And if you could tell me about it to repay the deed, that would be just fine." He would not deny that he was curious.

"Both are good... but perhaps the balcony would command a better view of it all," Luce said decisively, slipping her fingers around his and holding onto him carefully. She was determined to forget about her worries while she was with him--and make the most of her time with him.

"Of course, Luce." He smiled at the excitement showing on her face, relaxing a bit now that the sad feeling she’d been exuding was gone. He led her into the grand building, "Would you prefer the balcony or the floor?"

Morning came, and with it, a rather tired Luce finally got out of her chair to get herself a cup of sweetened coffee from the kitchens. Tired from the paperwork and reports, she blinked up at Alpheo when he approached to tell her a brief and condensed version of things that had occurred the night before: Six had acclimated well, it seemed, and had been too tired to listen to all the conditions of his--asylum.
Lips curling into a smile at the thought of the sleep-bleary child, she told Alpheo to head back to Six, moving to make the child his chocolate cookies. And perhaps get herself some breakfast too - it might get rid of the lethargy that was slowly settling.
Alpheo. He runs the name over in his mouth a bit. It’s not that he’s having difficulties with it, it’s more to get a feel for the name itself. This is his designated chaperone after all.
He wonders if he will be assigned a new person periodically, or if this is a permanent designation. His new guardian seems lenient, like he’s dealing with a rambunctious child. It’s almost patronizing, but Mukuro can deal with it for now. As long as he’s allowed the same margin for ‘behavioral error’, he’ll let them treat him as they would a child.
He sits on his bed when he’s finished changing, and listens halfheartedly to Giglio Nero regulations. When his inattention is called out he says he’s only tired, after which he’s told they’ll be repeated to him tomorrow morning, which is fine with Mukuro. Maybe he’ll put effort into caring then.

Luce smiled at him, touched by his thoughtfulness. "Thank you," she murmured, leaning up to kiss him lightly on the cheek. "Let's go in. I'm rather anxious to see what they're showing!" She exclaimed, eyes lightening up in excitement.

"About a week ago, I was in town, " On a job, "And some people were talking about it." He gave a light shrug, "I thought it would be something you’d like." He honestly wasn’t interested in it, but he liked making Luce happy and this would hopefully help clear her of whatever she’d been thinking.

Luce blinked at the location, glancing at Reborn curiously. "How did you find out about this?" She asked, her look of curiosity slowly turning into a smile when she realised the sheer diversity of people heading towards the theater. "Because I never thought you were interested in films..."
in another life || { chaotic-sol | reginadelcielo } ||
"It’s through that building. Into the theater." It’s one of the grand theaters, usually expensive to get into, but film festivals are generally free to the public. Even in places like this. "Come, I’ll show you."

Luce blinked up at Reborn, a smile taking over her features as she took his hand, using his support to get out of the car. "I don't think I've ever been to one of these events before," she remarked, looking around curiously. "Where do we go?"
in another life || { chaotic-sol | reginadelcielo } ||
"It looks that way." He returned the warm look with one of his own. It wouldn’t take too long to arrive at the film festival, the area it was being held in was certainly decorated to stand out.
After parking, he stepped from the car to open her door, holding his hand out for her to take.

Luce squeezed his hand, shifting her fingers so that they curled around Reborn's more comfortably. Patience? That sounded almost ironic... "I suppose we'll just have to be surprised, don't we?" She said finally, sending him a smile.

"There’s a lot of original movies this year, " He reached over, intertwining their hands after starting the car, "but one in particular stood out to me, it’s called ‘Patience’. I’ve heard it’s supposed to be good."
