So guitarmaking is a messy business and I’m always tracking dust and mess into the house and the missus is usually none too pleased about that... so I went into the scrap box and made a pretty little cutting board with a Valentine’s Day message and all is forgiven, brownie points for a couple months at least I hope! Korina, mahogany, walnut, rosewood, maple guitar offcuts all put to good use. I’m thinking maybe I should make these for customers to give their wives when they get a new guitar so instead of being upset about another guitar coming in the house, they’ll give you a kiss for a sweet gift, everyone’s happy that way 😉

Refret, rebind, refinish on a cool old 1950s Epiphone Century, starting to look pretty again, fun project. I kinda enjoy my job sometimes 😀 swipe right for before (and yes I appreciate patina too but the poor baby was literally falling apart and needed some freshening up)

Just saw that Walter Becker passed at just 67, one of my all time favorite player/writers. Steely Dan's music was an absolute education and inspiration to me as a kid. I was lucky enough to meet him and see him in concert last year delivering his new Red Rocket. Wish he'd had more time to play it... RIP Walter, play on.
