Did you know Brandy wasn’t the first black Cinderella on screen? Cindy, a made for TV movie from 1978, stars Charlaine Woodard in a musical twist on the Cinderella story set in WWII Harlem. The film is currently available for free on YouTube (unfortunately not in super high definition, but worth checking out nonetheless!)
