Yeah, that's a reference to a shitty kung fu movie. Tim Drake and Jason Todd are my sons.

yo.... when jet breaks in the tea shop and accuses zuko and iroh of beinh firebenders....
do you think any of the patrons looked at zukos scarred face - obviously done by a firebender - and immediately think jet was an asshole? like
jet: hes a firebender!!!!
patrons, thinking about the backstory they concocted for zuko and iroh where their home was invaded by firebenders and they barely survived with their lifes so they could come and have a peaceful life selling tea in a city the war doesnt touch:

batman villains are funny bc they all end up in arkham over and over so its just like
killer croc, painting a beautiful and sensitive portrait representing his inner turmoil: i had no idea (insert plant) was an invasive species in gotham
poison ivy, painting a photorealistic fern: they are! they’re so widespread that its almost impossible to contain, and it really hurts my heart
joker trying so fucking hard not to call them homophobic slurs because the therapist told him he’d get extra joker mush if he behaved for once in his fucking life:

Photos by Julia Rendleman & Marcus Ingram at soon-to-be dismantled Robert E. Lee Statue on Monument Avenue in Richmond, former capital of the Confederacy. A symbolic & actual victory, and these photos really capture the moment…

I don't care what state you were born and raised in, what you were told by your parents or your husband, what you see on the news, what our idiot president says. The confederate flag is racist. Confederate statues are racist. Celebrating the Confederacy makes you racist. If you didn't pay attention to all those years in school where everyone was taught that the confederates fought in the civil war to keep slavery, that's your burden to bear. Don't be upset when those of us who cared are taking action to make sure those horrible actions are never repeated. They were not "mistakes" that we can celebrate. I don't care if your great granpappy was a confederate soldier. Your great granpappy was a bigot, a racist, and a terrible human being. I don't care if that statue is "historic". The reason it was erected was to keep worship people who fought to keep slavery. I don't care if that flag is "symbolic" in your state. If you raise that flag, you are glorifying racism, white supremacy, slavery, and neo naziism. Stop being upset that Nascar is banning the flag. Stop being upset that people are tearing down those pissant statues. See them for what they truly are. Symbols to keep black people down. Symbols to keep whites exalted over everyone else.
