You know what I would love to see? Miriel and Earien bonding and getting to understand each other and then facing the Fall of Númenor side by side.
I can't see Earien being fully on board with Pharazon, I see her as someone lost in her grieving and pointing faults because nobody listened to her before. But I don't see her as "evil" as Kemen or Pharazon. So me thinks that while she might not survive Númenor, I can see her repenting being on Pharazon's side. And I want her and Miriel to overcome their differences and to actually know each other.
It would be so deliciously painful... knowing their ending c:
#the rings of power#miriel#earien#text#or maybe she becomes a nazgul#idk but i want her and miriel to bond somehow#now that miriel is alone at pharazon's evil claws

"That's why it hurts me to see how the jokes and theories turned into the distortion of the whole scene."
Oh, I feel you. I felt the same when people on twitter were trying to erase Celebrimbor's influence on the elven rings and then saying "it's just a headcanon" when people got mad, kind of the same with claiming Celebrian is Sauron's daughter and then saying people are attacking them when they are the ones changing the whole narrative.
While I understand that it's just a "headcanon", it pushes a tendency of erasing other characters and their journey and connection to either Sauron or Galadriel. And part of me understands that, but it's also disheartening being a fan of those characters who are being erased in the service of jokes and theories distorting the narrative.
Elrond's apology to Galadriel and the kiss is so meaningful to Elrond and their friendship!
Thanks for putting out your word, let's be kind <3
I love and respect all theories but daily reminder that it was real Elrond.
Elrond arrived with an elven army and Gil Galad, then met Adar on the battlefield, saw Galadriel in a cage. And Adar invited him to the camp for negotiations.
Why did Elrond try to turn the orcs against Adar and use such means? Because he is smart and because he know how to use the power of words. There is no need to devalue Elrond's qualities by saying that this is not his nature. He is not only "kind as summer boy".
Why did Elrond apologize to Galadriel, it makes no sense? No, it makes a lot of sense. He apologizes for everything. For not believing her, for not being able to save her now and having to leave her in the hands of the enemy. This scene is the culmination of Galadriel and Elrond's relationship this season.
That's why it hurts me to see how the jokes and theories turned into the distortion of the whole scene.
Thank you for attention guys, let's be kind to each other🤎
#trop#text#discourse#it just makes me sad#bcs i enjoy those characters so much#like the idea would make a great fic#but what happened in 'canon' was also great#and ppl saying they were 'robbed'#ohhh it makes me sad

I need people to understand that the showrunners or writers not doing something doesn't mean they are trying to appeal to the lorebros... Please, I'm begging...

Oh, and I love your analysis! Sauron is so fascinating, and I'm absolutely in love with the Rings of Power interpretation of Sauron and his complexity, and you put it perfectly in words!
P.S: I'm on board of the Pharauron (?) ship already too! I can't imagine two characters who can match each other's freak as them.
Just heard Charlie said that "Halbrand is Sauron" in an interview and it made my brain go brr again. Because I have seem sort of a debate over it, somehow. It was obvious to me, but apparently some said that Halbrand was a completely fake persona and other that Halbrand was the "true face of Sauron", and hence, he was always honest and vulnerable with Galadriel.
And my personal point of view of it is that... that vulnerability is a deception. Not in the way that everything he was telling was a lie but in the way he was being vulnerable with her, without telling her who he truly was. And yeah, Halbrand's vulnerability is Sauron's vulnerability but he takes advantage of her not knowing he's Sauron, the one she's looking for to kill, to be vulnerable. So it's a half-truth. And a half truth is a lie and manipulative.
Also Halbrand is Sauron also means Halbrand is manipulative and deceiving by nature. You can still like Haladriel admitting he was deceiving her, no need to do mental gymnastics to think Sauron wasn't Sauroning when he was Halbrand. In fact, Charlie did said that Halbrand was Sauroning, but the camera was on Galadriel on S1 while on S2 the camera stayed with him so we saw him Sauroning at all his glory.
Plus, Sauron was also vulnerable with Celebrimbor under a similar deceiving. You can also argue Sauron liked Celebrimbor, perhaps no the same way he likes Galadriel, but he does likes him. And he killed him out of rage, and let's remember that he almost drowned Galadriel when she found out who he was. I personally can't see Sauron/Annatar with Celebrimbor and Sauron/Halbrand with Galadriel that much different.
Both Galadriel and Celebrimbor were deceived but acted upon their wishes at the same time. While Galadriel might have acted MORE against Sauron's wishes (making him King and getting him off Númenor), Celebrimbor did too. And they admit it to each other when they met.
And I think this makes Sauron's character so appealing. When is he being truly vulnerable? When is he being vulnerable to deceive?
I love it so much, I can't wait to see Sauron and Pharazon, is going to be a whole ass meal.

At the end of season 2, I had a heavy pit in my stomach that Galadriel’s decreased screentime had less to do with the narrative and more to do with how reactive those piece of shit lorebros were immediately prior to and in real time during season 1. I mean there were vloggers, X users and hack television critics dedicated to having Morfydd fired. I just remember seeing several interviews and speeches Morfydd gave, talking about how much specifically Charlie supported her and championed her and I was thinking at the time, “From what?” “Why would he need to do that?” And after seeing Galadriel in season 2, now I get a feeling I know why. So BLESS Charlie for that. It sucks that it takes the male lead to lend his clout in order for her to have her voice heard. But fuck yeah. Now Amazon. Do RIGHT by Miv and Galadriel. DO RIGHT. She is the heart of TROP and the ratings for this past season reflect that. STAND BY HER and you will get that bag 💵.
#trop#someone on twt did a screentime 'distribution' of s2#ala kpop style#and galadriel was 2nd only surpassed by sauron#gal was still at the heart of the season#in my opinion#and she will alway be at the heart of it
