‘Major’s Thermoptic Pistol’ (Ghost in the Shell 2017)

So, here it is, finished and complete, this thing has been a massive learning experience but a worthy challenge. I love to make things that help my push myself out of my comfort zone and gain new experience and skills. So proud of how this came out, massive thank you to my wonderful fiancee for taking the photos for my with her brand new lens ^_^

The work surfaces are all finished, painted and sealed at last! I just need to sort out the power points, Lights, install some of my larger tools and set up my computer area and paint station... So close now..

There's a wall in the workshop that was just begging for a sign... So I thought why not break out the MDF and give it a go. Managed to end the day with it cut out and base coated, can work on the details and lights tomorrow. Oh yes, this thing will be back lit. ^_^

Amazing what a coat of paint will do, it's finally starting to look like a workspace! Just need to give it a 2nd coat and then I can start sorting out the floor... EVA foam mats will be everywhere!
