hey! i get it, i feel distanced from my otherkin self sometimes too. it happens to the best of us. try to remember that you will always be who you are, no matter what. you will always be a beautiful, majestic dragon, and the people around you will sense it. hang in there :3

robotkin tips!

(most of these are things i do or want to do as a robotkin :3)

rename mundane things to more robot-y things! you can call your food fuel, call sleeping charging, call mental and physical exercise system function testing, etc

wear things that remind you of your robot self! there are lots of cool robot tights, robot-y shoes (LED shoe clips are a personal favorite shoe accessory of mine), gloves, sunglasses, or mecha accessories to headphones

listen to vocaloid and mynoise.net

change your mannerisms (posture, vocal inflection, etc) to be more robot-esque

have a specific function? do lots of things relating to that! for example, i am an assistance and information robot (similar to data from star trek) so i try to learn lots and be helpful to people whenever they need me

specific shoes make me feel very much like my robot self. clacky heels, chunky sneakers, and wedges specifically

learn code!

draw robot joints on yourself (i like using highlighter to give that glowy sci-fi effect)

hello!! would i be able to get name and pronoun reqs for a virtual desktop companion? id prefer gender neutral stuff, but if you have to lean more towards a binary gender id prefer a masc lean. i also have an affinity for the color blue so do with that what you will!! however digital/old web themed stuff also works :} (eg, RGB, pixels, html, etc)

tips for a corvid!

wear feathers, black, leather, and anything that reminds you of your feathers!

collect cool things you find give small gifts to friends and family (corvids are famous for doing this, plus it shows appreciation for the people you love!)

you can do bird quads by squatting and hopping, and if you want to fly you can go to a trampoline park, indoor skydiving place, zipline course, or even real skydiving if youre brave enough

learn how to do corvid vocals

eat lots of fruits and seeds

put on a jacket, stick your hands in the pockets, and flip it over your elbows and shoulders to make makeshift wings (bonus if you can find a feathery or furry jacket)

attach a beak to any kind of mask to wear (plague doctor masks are also an option!) and wear longer nails to feel like your talons

wear long skirts that remind you of your tail

spend lots of time in and around water

sing!! mermaids are known for singing, and you dont have to be good at it

wear accessories with seashells, scales, fishnets, and coins on them. these have always felt reminiscent of mermaids to me

listen to ocean noises, whale calls, and maybe even sea shanties

you can draw scales on your skin in marker, pen, or glitter pen, and marking color between your fingers looks like you have webbed hands! (first hand experience as a dragon)

eat seaweed, seafood, and things that remind you of what you ate in the ocean

wear fake horns (you can make some out of paper or cardboard) or pigtails/double buns to remind you of your horns!

wear clunky shoes/boots or shoes that make clacky sounds, i find these feel like my hooves so maybe they will for urs too :3

wear fur clothing the color or your wool and big, fluffy sweaters

eat vegetables and salads

if you feel the need to ram something with your horns, you can use pillows on a bed or couch so you dont hurt yourself! (plz be safe)

wearing gloves or fingerless gloves may also make you feel like you have front hooves as well :3

read mystery books or watch mystery movies and try to solve the mystery before the characters!

read lots and study things that interest you. velma is known for being smart and learning new things is also fun and healthy :3

maybe try your hand at robotics or something similar!

spend time with your friends! it might remind you of hanging out with the mystery inc.

and of course, watch lots of scooby doo :3

wear white/ blue eyeshadow with black eyeliner to mimic the eyes of dumbo octopuses! if you have other patterns you can draw those on with makeup as well

spend time in and around water! you can go to pools, rivers, oceans, or even just take a nice bath

wear lots of orange or yellow

spin and flap your arms around or dance with your arms to remind you of your tentacles

wear pigtails or headbands to mimic your head fins!
