Reasons to watch Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts

1. It’s diverse

The main characters are African American, Asian African American, and mixed. Not counting the pig or bugman.

Not to mention an openly gay character. No assuming or connecting dots. They say it out loud.

Doesn’t sexualize female characters!! Omg we got to see a female in a leading position wearing a suit that wasn’t skin tight. We see a badass character with a amazing fighting skills that you can’t even tell is a girl until they say she. And it isn’t that “it’s safer to look like a boy out in these parts” bs. It’s actually just her style.

2. It’s a post apocalyptic world

If you enjoyed adventure time or last kids on earth you will love this show.

The world takes things you think you know and flips them on it’s head. The surface world is full of mutes and I don’t mean people who can’t talk. I mean mutant animals from lumberjack cats to rock n’ roll snakes to astronomer wolves. Even cute killer bunnies.

3. Music

Normally I wouldn’t say music is a big thing in the background, but damn. This whole soundtrack is a BOP!!!!

Some songs are emotional and bring shivers up your spine, while others are just fun. Each one fits the scene perfectly

4. Storyline

This is the only thing I had any real issues with. It is a children’s show so the plot is easy to follow and you can pretty much see every plot twist a mile away, but it’s truly a feel good show.

The character arcs make sense and backstory scare amazing. It’s well thought out.

So please go watch the show. You won’t regret it.
