i do not want to start this by saying “not to be all deep about the met gala” but not to be all deep about the met gala where most rich people fail to meet an assignment year after year even with a lot of notice and all the wealth and resources at their disposal, but the thing that gets me is really that when it comes down to it, themed parties like these give so much room for art and expression and i’ve seen so many inventive costumes and outfits on halloween and at costume parties i’ve been to, from little kids and teenagers and college students and adults who definitely don’t have a net worth over millions of dollars. and to see these incredibly rich people not even make an effort is just so disappointing and a little infuriating because with all that money god knows i wouldn’t show up in a plain black tux or a plain prom dress. what are you all doing and give me all your money.

COVID is slowly becoming a "third world" disease. While first world countries are hoarding vaccines, having doses for populations many times their size, third world countries can't get any because pharma companies want to sell to the first world countries first. Even then, first world countries will receive them first. While rich countries recover from COVID, they will forget about the pandemic while many other countries live the absolute worst moment of the pandemic without being able to vaccinate their population.

Ill cave... its lesbian visibility day and i am a veerry broke latino lesbian, of the trans variety, who needs help paying off a life changing surgery i had earlier this year for my chronic illness. I just got a bill for $2701.32 USD from the hospital i cannot afford, even though all i used was a room and I payed for my surgeon+supplies used already which were not supplied by the hospital. Im going to try and financial aid it/ defer the fees but there is no guarantee it will work and i still have a few other medical bills i need to pay from the surgery. All bill proof can be dmed upon request but i dont want my medical bill info out there for obvious reasons... I am trying to go back to school as well and cannot afford to with the debt im in, and my family members cannot help me with this much money
