My plushies! (1/?) (pictures + rambles below the cut)

Fraise - 'Strawberry' | She/her | Future DSSA (?) Douglas Cuddle Toy - Mandy Yellow Lab

Fraise is one of the newer dogs I've gotten specifically for taking out in public with me. I'm really bad about germs and such - though I do think having a plush out with me would help me regulate! Fraise and Lark (seen in a later post) were bought for me to keep separate from my other plushies as to not 'spread' the ickiness of the outside world (stores/clinics/restaurants/etc.) while still being able to have a comfort item.. as I didn't want to 'sacrifice' one of my other plushies that I already bonded with - since I cuddle them and have them in my bed. (bed = clean. contaminated plush + bed = everything it touches gets contaminated) (this actually does sound worse after typing it out.. woof.) As of this post I have not gotten the chance to bring either of them out yet but I will probably post an update later. Ramble below. Also I feel the need to explain that nature/hotel rooms/the car are all clean spaces.. for whatever reason? So homebound plushies can go outside (and even go on the ground) and still be considered 'clean' whereas god forbid a plush is even in the AIR of a store they are filthy. 😭😭😭

I've had her for as long as I can remember (hence the strange name lol thanks child me) and she is one of the best comforters I have. Strangely enough she also makes remembering 'forgotten' childhood memories a lot easier! She has a very strong motherly vibe to her

Hashbrown | He/they | Major ESSA Douglas Cuddle Toy- Wolfgang Pointer Nickname: Hash

Hashbrown is one of my first Douglas dogs and I absolutely adore him. Some of his fur is lovingly matted after more than a year of cuddles and comfort (had to check my dates and.. wow time flies!) he is still as soft as ever though!

??? | She/her | Childhood stuffed animal <3 Beanie Babies - Aria the Cat

I don't remember her name unfortunately.. and she actually wasn't even mine at first! She came out two years before I was born - originally she was owned by one of my older sisters. Of course as kids tend to do they grew up and (unlike me rip) stopped really caring for stuffed toys so she joined my toybox!

All these years later I still care for her and she has her own special place on my bed! (with other plushies so she doesn't get lost.. she's a little kitty in a big world after all!)

Cowboy | She/him | Plush Douglas Cuddle Toy - Rancher Red Aussie

She is *extremely* soft (much like the softs) and for that reason I give her extra care. I find that the softs get dirty/greasy feeling really easily (like jellycats) so while I don't cuddle her often she does have one of my favorite names <3

Rookie | He/him | Minor ESSA Douglas Cuddle Toy - Chief German Shepherd Nicknames: Mr. Microplastics, Mr. MP Rookie shares a dog tag with Briar (seen in a later post) as its double-sided! They aren't brother and sister but they might as well be. I cannot explain to you how much I love his nickname.. it was going to be his name - as he looks as though he eats plastic bottles and/or was dropped on his head as a pup (don't hold it against him) but I wasn't sure how I was going to explain that to.. well.. anyone.. so he got given the legal name of Rookie.

First time I saw his face it just popped into my head okay.. I mean look at him! He looks so much like a Mr. Microplastics to me.

Fraise is helping me check our bell pepper plants! I’m a little worried they aren’t big enough for the time.. but we’ll see!

Intro
