I read this when I was a kid, I didn't get it back then. Looked it up recently, it's a local classic, based in the 80's, it's story still holds up in 2020.

There are events that occur that at the time are widely lauded or viled upon by many but in time will be looked back & seen differently.
I believe that the Sheraton move will be one of those events that can be considered as a former.
I won't go into a detailed description about the Sheraton move other than the fact that it it can be considered a consolidation of the majority of the Malay block throughout the political spectrum or from all sides that brought about the first toppling of an elected Malaysian Government for the first time in the country's history.
But before I go on let me provide some context.
Party hopping may not be something that is new to other countries & it surely isn't new here to. In fact to me, party hopping in this country is taken to the next level in my view, it is so widespread and occurs so regularly that it's made Malaysia politics quite a sad joke.
& it can just happen it seems based on whatever reasons that the politician just thought or made up at the moment to justify their move, most of the time it's like over reasons which just seems dumb or gives the impression that these politicians are kids & self serving, when in truth it's probably to stay in power or gain power & most likely with promises of positions, deals & bucket loads of cash involved.
In this country states have changed sides a number of times in history because of this common occurrence. Right fully elected state governments have fallen because of sudden party hopping based on what was mentioned in the para prior. Normally occuring for the benefit of one side of the political divide which has continuously held power for over some 60 years up till 2018 & never the other, well not until 2018 when powers changed hands for the first time that is, which just entrenched my belief that party hopping does not really happen due mainly to some major disagreement internally about policies or stances (well maybe it contributes somewhat) that are the reasons given but it is mainly if not always albeit not mentioned about power, position, money.
It has over time shaped my view that Malaysia politics is not in matured state, it's wishy washy in terms of many politicians & politics in general, changing sides wherever the wind blows in favour.
Now, don't get me wrong or take it personally when I call Malaysian politics immature due to this, but you should, even though party hopping, changing sides, quitting parties happen & not only here in Malaysia, it happens at such a regularity & over whatever reasons far to often it's a joke.
I mean it does happen abroad too, but it's normally over a major political stance, position, issue & it's not a regular thing, surely if rarely in a matured political environment does it happen for the reasons it happens here. Outside it could be a person or two & they would normally quit or go independent, never joining the other side as well over beliefs or policy positions held for instance, here in addition to the reasons stated, it's like "let's move in block" or a move to quit & go independent can be read as joining the other side in the near future.
I have become disheartened with politics in general after I realized that even in a matured political environment, it is rarely about serving others but themselves & that a political divide of normally 2 sides are just 2 different branches of the same apple, we think we are being given a choice but it's merely an illusion of choice, for they are mosy all the same, on the same boat, just in different wolf clothing.
When it comes to Malaysian politics it's even more sad to me, more dangerous it seems, it's amateur politics in comparison, it's more childish, more like those in power can do as they will & less power in the hands of the people & less accountability & responsibility towards the people, but with the same level of greed for money & power.
Oh yeah, Sheraton, I nearly forgot, what makes the event an upgrade over the usual change of sides that normally occurs is not that there were mass change of sides, to topple a government (even though it's a major issue & a first time), but how blatantly transparent it was towards ensuring that the old ways of divide & conquer over religion & racial lines prevail, how greed overrides the need for change & improve, or the lack of political will to do what is needed.
I've voted for both sides in the past, my loyalty stands with none, I vote based on my conscience, not loyalty to party or politicians which they would demand & which they have equated to as being the same to loyalty & responsibility to country & the people they represent when either is in power, that is bullshit when they themselves have no loyalty but to themselves. Fuck them. I vote or don't is on me, my evaluation based on impartiality, on facts & information, being kept informed, trying to differentiate truth from lies & propaganda, for what I believe is best.

Finally, a good pair of headphones.
Got it off a friend as he went for the latest model & he pretty much knew I was keen on his.
I don't usually spoil myself, but it was at a good price, I was patient & he knows even if I want something bad, I'm willing to lose out if it doesn't make sense to me; fella knew I was keen on his DSLR last year, but I wouldn't be swayed even when prices were driven down substantially, in truth it was a real good deal on offer, but other factors had to be considered.
Anyway, deals done, I'm one happy camper now with my Sony 1000XM2.. my expression here doesn't do my happiness justice 馃槃, feels rather subdued when put in words here, but I am immensely happy, yeah sure, it's kinda a waste of money I admit, but, like I said, I rarely treat myself to something I really want but don't really need.. but boy, for a waste of money, this baby is good shit, excellent noise cancelling headphones, audio's are a delight, I just slide into a heavenly dreamy existence of relaxation, unbothered by the world I'm surrounded by, lol.
Just the sort of shit I need to get away without really doing so 鈽猴笍鈽猴笍鈽猴笍
Well, I can't wait to put em on later tonight.

I'm working today, but there ain't much to do with Covid pretty much putting society in lockdown.
So let's start a new subject, Fake Drama.
Why? Well I heard the words used the other day, first time I've heard it used & thought I'd maybe just register it here, although I haven't really prepared or really have anything in mind to talk about.
So I'd assume that Fake in this context would mean created, manufactured.. along those lines as opposed to Real Drama which would stand for natural maybe, as in non created or manufactured.
Well I dislike both in general, but I have to admit, life is full of drama, & however we try to minimize the ones in our own lives, we'll probably get pulled into those of others sooner or later, lol.
So that being the case, with drama never ceasing to exist & unavoidable, wouldn't it be a good thing if we just did away with the Fake Drama.. it seems rather unnecessary don't you think ? As if life doesn't have enough drama as it is already, do we really need to bring in more.
Furthermore, the unnecessary, possible arguments, tense & awkward situations, headaches, anxiety & stress caused, rifts, possible repercussions it may cause among other things, I'm sure we could all do without.
Well, on top off my head, the only possible Fake or Manufactured Drama I could maybe deal with from time to time would be those that lead to some heated passionate action out of love & lust :D hey deal with it
So I'm not gonna delve deeper, I think the points are covered & spot on.

I've come up with a conclusion of sorts, but of which isn't final, it'll be an ongoing thing, but I find it pretty solid.
I may not be able to describe things properly, using examples & metaphors of sorts to help me out.
& the findings are limited to my me & my observations of the experience of others, life, surroundings, etc & not of anyone in particular, as even if others may similarities in experience, the development & outcome I believe is subject to each individual.
So here goes.
If you've worked in a very hectic, chaotic, non conducive environment & later moved to another work place which is considerably or substantially not in comparison, you might find it relatively easier even if others whom work there find it to be very hectic, chaotic, non conducive & are unable to cope with.
A person whom has lived a very difficult life once, given the opportunity to live an average lifestyle, may find it nice & thankful compared to someone who has lived a live of ease & luxury whom in turn may find doing chores & some additional responsibilities difficult to adapt to.
Individuals whom have had to endure, engage, experience various situations & people that are difficult, negative traits & questionable intentions; may just appreciate & enjoy the life & company of the boring that others are unable to, while passing as impatient or unfriendly or tolerating among other things to others, when in truth it is dislike to the former when they see it or faced with.
I could go on with examples.
How we experience & learn, from these & others experiences mold us, the outcomes mentioned above may not apply to others, it may in truth be a complete opposite..
A petty thief may come out from time served, a reformed person, another may come out back to his old life & maybe even worse.
Again I could come up with more examples, but..
The experience lived, observed, knowing, knowledge the ability to think among other things..
If a person knew nothing else besides abusive, narcissistic relationships, that is probably what they would seek as their template moving forward; others may know that there are good, positive kinds of relationships but because they are so used to the bad, would reject it when presented. Others may take a chance & genuinely change after experiencing the good.
Again I could.. haha
Anyway, as interesting as this topic is, I'm running out of steam to type on (not ideas), maybe another day, I mean it is interesting enough to continue, expand, re-examine, re-evaluate, correct, etc but maybe just not today.
Well, maybe just a bit more for today, this topic can be expanded & go in many directions, for instance I'd like to add, an irrational person placed in an environment with irrational individuals, may eventually see themselves as irrational in general, this may change the person to be a rational person or the person might not see it that way, in turn becoming even more irrational with the environment.

It's been a good productive period this past month; for both body & soul, mind as well I guess.
With the fasting month that is coming to an end in a couple of days, I've been praying more or less consistently which was difficult to adapt at first but has become easier over the course of the past month & dare I say is not as difficult to adopt as I had previously thought in my mind.
It's good also that it's made my mom happy & to see my dad do so as well is nice, to say the least.
I've been going on a workout routine as well during this period, more or less 5-6 times a week in the evening just before break fast, I'd take just under an hour to do the necessary. It's quite easy to commit to for now, with the shortened working hours & alternative weeks of wfh that currently is in place due to the fasting month & Covid19. I guess eating adequately to ensure I'm not malnourishing myself with this routine & fasting at the same time is more challenging, cooking the majority of my own meals is too, but I'll say that it'll take some adapting & changes to sustain this once working hours go back to normal. But I'm looking forward to making it happen the best I can.
The mind, well, with all that I've stated above, the fasting, praying, workout routines, it's all been good for the mind I guess, peace & a more relaxed self from having spent more time at home & with the family has helped as well, with the occasional touch base with some cousins & friends being good for me as well.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to log in for future reading I guess. I just got back from my daily night walks with my dad after prayers, sweating as well, got myself some chicken tandoori to feast on in abit, well, after I hit the shower.
