the existentialist crisis at 22 where you're just there staring at the wall figuring out how you're 22 today when it was just yesterday when you celebrated your 17th birthday with friends who are residents of your past now and a version of yourself who was waiting to be 22 someday.

lot of grief stems from the memories which are blurred behind the years of ageing. we do not remember the moments as vividly the pain persists after that moment. time has the power to soften the hurt to cover up an wound but it always leaves a mark, a reminder that you were once hurt so bad that you carry the essence of it throughout your life.

"I love you" "it'll pass" hurts at the first watch so much you think you will never find it in your heart to understand the hot priest but when after completing the show you're sitting on your bed scrolling through your phone you realise that it is the best way to respond to fleabag. The certainty that the feeling eventually feels less is beautifully put out in two and a half words. The hurt in that moment wont persist forever and neither will this feeling.
