Coats of arms for the first arc of my world build! Notes under the cut.
It is widely accepted across Kurtala that gold can only be used in a coat of arms if the kingdom/country/etc. is blessed by a god. It is a high symbol of prestige.
Godstone has had multiple designs over the inception of its coat. The one that precedes the current coat had no bottom quarter (which is currently the hand of the begging mortal). The very first had something in the bottom quarter but it has since been lost to time…
Mythranill’s coat of arms comes from the holy lance of light that parted the darkness over the kingdom.
Saronia‘s coat of arms comes from the trident that skewered the heart of an abyssal beast that was so strong the weapon required blessings from all three gods.
Azulon’s coat of arms comes from the ‘veil of flame,’ a crown gifted to the ruler of the kingdom to be passed down throughout the generations by the original elder dragon of fire. It can call upon dangerous power…
Ardinn’s coat of arms comes from the bloody history of coups and strife that led to it being its own independent power.
