basically the long and short of it is that your telling of ‘ x ‘ muse will be the one i consider “ canon “ to this blog’s portrayal of ei & the raiden shogun ! i give you a neat little tag that i’ll use whenever i write with you or if i find something that hardcore vibes with how i see our muses . i am also legally allowed to plow down your front door on discord or tumblr and throw ideas and god knows what else @ you . also !! when i finally get to adding the mains page to my rules document you will be there with a link to your blog !!

mutual mains -- your muse is my raiden’s main, and my raiden is your muse’s main ! whatever that means to you ! just know that i DO NOT practice exclusivity, and in the case of shipping, as stated in my rules-- i do not practice it by default . if you ask it of me though, with regard to shipping at least, i’ll be glad to do so !

i do like to talk with the people i write with ooc as well as ic interations-- but if we haven’t already you can still interact with this post or me -- it’ll be a wake - up call to me to get off my ass and break the initial - interaction - fear wall !!

I hate to do this, but we’re really struggling. Rent is due soon and we’re behind because we’ve had to apply for so many apartments. We were unsure why we kept being rejected. Turns out we owed money to one of our previous apartments. Paying that off took all of what we had saved for moving costs and some of what we needed for rent.

Plus I just got over pneumonia, so I was unable to do much work lately. I’m still fighting for disability, but it looks like I may not get it unless my wife and I get a divorce.. Which also costs money we don’t have right now. 

I can’t work a traditional job because of all my health problems. Medical bills keep piling up, too, but those are less immediate than the threat of homelessness. 

My current income is limited to what I sell on etsy. I would really appreciate it if you could give the shop a look at and, if you’re interested, placing an order? Custom order are available! If you have a scent in mind, let me know. It doesn’t have to be Genshin themed. I have more essential oils than I care to count! Chances are, I have what you’re looking for.      HC.006 on the subject of THE NATURE OF THE MUSOU - NO - HITOTACHI

     let us examine the nature of the nine - way sword slash that has become well revered and respected among the people of inazuma . -- spoilers once again for 2.1 and the imperatrix umbrosa story quest !!

     once again, the basis for this thought comes from the IMPERATRIX UMBROSA: TO TRAVERSE THE MORTAL PLANE story quest . when presented with the ‘ shogun almighty: reborn as raiden with unlimited power ‘ short story, ei has quite a few things to say on the subject .

     “ she would never use the musou no hitotachi as frivolously as she does in the pages of this book . nor would she ever use it as a means of venting emotions . in reality, the reason for drawing her blade determines which martial form to use and the degree of power with which to imbue it . “

     despite being viewed as some almighty strike of instant - death, in reality, the musou no hitotachi is actually a very versatile technique that can be adapted as the situation necessitates . that is to say, within certain reason, no unleashing of the blade is likely to be the same . we have seen cataclysmically astonishing power, as in the slaying of orobashi and cleaving of an entire island, leaving behind only a bifurcated corpse and balethunder - ridden gorge that endures to this day . we have also seen a very controlled burst of electro energy in the execution of signora within the tenshukaku . and, we have also see a slash that does not cause bodily harm, but rather, rends space - time to drag the traveler into the realm of euthymia .

     as ei herself states, the nature of the technique is decided at the drawing of the blade . therefore, if something were to change in the situation, the musou isshin would need to be sheathed and re - drawn with different intentions before it could be used effectively .

      not to discredit kazuha’s actions before the tenshukaku, as parrying the raiden shogun in combat itself is no small feat, but frankly put, the strength at which the musou no hitotachi was drawn when seeking to strike the traveler was barely a fraction of its possible strength . look at the nature of the events right before the drawing of the musou isshin: the traveler is not anticipating such an attack, shocked enough by her sudden ( and quite large ) appearance before him as soon as his foot leaves the tenshukaku . why then, would she feel the need to draw her blade with anything more than a quick, precise slash to execute them cleanly, especially after having recognized their honor in the duel against signora ? the shogun is a very calculating person, both figuratively and literally -- she is an automaton at heart, and thinks logically, and so the exact force and slash angle would have been calculated solely with the intent to kill the traveler-- not factoring in variables of any kind . it wouldn’t have taken but a single, clean slice to execute the traveler, and it was therefore drawn in kind .

     additionally-- and perhaps more easily understandable, is where exactly the would - be execution takes place . she is at the foot of the tenshukaku compound, overlooking both her city full of subjects who, for the most part, are reverent and loyal to her, as well as ritou and the grand narukami shrine beyond . it is established that the raiden shogun holds great love and care for her people, no matter which one is in control, therefore it stands to reason that they would not use their strength if it was at the risk of inflicting substantial damage and / or death upon her people-- especially those that are still loyal to their eternity . even during the 100th vision reclamation ceremony, with a crowd of people around as well as two guards’ bodies near the traveler, the strike draws ONLY the traveler in to the realm .

     so the narukami’s valor asserts that the wrath that the raiden shogun will rain down is born of the love she harbors for her people, and her courage in battle will strengthen this love . it further asserts that any person who would either block the path to eternity or lay a hand on her people would thusly become her foe . thus it stands to reason, and i find it very much true, that even though the people of the sangonomiya resistance are fighting against the shogunate, she still in her heart considers them her people ( especially of those that fled from narukami isle and sought out asylum there ) .

     it stands to reason that, so long as it does not intrude upon her eternity, it is still very much within the realm of possibility that she will defend them against those that would oppose inazuma . it’s a fun thought, to imagine that you are a member of the resistance in some capacity– you are out whether it is on the march to a campaign site, or simply out in the isles and you are, say, overwhelmed by a roving band of fatui for example . and as they close in on you and prepare to kill, there is a crack of thunder and in a flash, the raiden shogun herself appears between you and cleaves through all of them with her naginata or her tachi ( depends how many would attack ) . she offers you and your companions a sideways glance before, in a flash of lightning, she disappears .
