Skip Google for Research
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse.  It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable.  As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free

An actual messy study table lmao, but for real the last two months have flown and I haven't studied anything tbh which is really upsetting but I'm going to get back on track and study hard now. This is my last chance at neet after all.

are you preparing for neet again? if so, are you looking for a study partner?
Hey yes, I am :)
I'm sorry I'm not actually, I already study with someone and we have coordinated our schedules and everything. But I'm sure you can find someone on Yeolpumta or a neet study stream.

Okay so confession my exam went bad, like I thought I did well but I guess not, so I will be preparing again but I won't be posting here as much anymore, good luck to the rest of neet 2023 aspirants

Do you also get caught up in neet postponement drama?
I do, it's super annoying because I know it's fake, but I can't help but raise my hopes up. Anyway, there's like a week to the exam and it's definitely not getting postponed so I'll just stay off twitter and revise

Can you please suggest me some test series, i have trouble in attempting tests....due to anxiety. Can you share how you manage your time??? I'm struggling ,,,,,
Hii! I've sort of been struggling with anxiety as well, and honestly giving tests is difficult in the beginning but once you stick to it, you're going to se improvement. I'd recommend getting the physics wallah test series or you can use embibe for the same as well. I personally use careerorbits.
I don't think I have a set schedule anymore tbh, I study from 4 with a friend, we do take regular breaks and usually the maximum our study sessions go to is 10 at night, unless we pull an all nighter but that leads to the next day getting spent in bed so I don't recommend that.
You got this love, just set goals for the day and complete it no matter what 💞

Since I've just started this in the evening, I'll be focusing on the things I have to complete today and not mention the things I've already done
Haloalkanes & Haloarenes
Alcohols, Phenols & Ethers
Amines
Math
(Ooh and yeah I'll not be posting pictures, it takes too much time lol)

Day 2
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, today wasn't a productive day and I didn't do much, the exam nearing has me really anxious and has sort of stunted my ability to really study. I think I may have to give my test on 5th or 6th instead, but since I have decided to end everything around 15th it'll have to be pushed to 16th or 17th June instead.
I hope tomorrow can be better, I just have to ensure that I don't allow stress to control my productivity levels.
Today, dad told me that it'll be easier if you treat the day of the exam as any other day and while it'd be wonderful if I can do that, NEET aspirants are too invested (as they have to be) in the exam to treat it as just another day. Maybe giving tests will help boost my confidence slightly.

Day 1 of @alfalfaaarya's 14 day NEET streak.
Tumblr media
(and my official return to the study blog)
I am completing my unit tests from Careerorbits by 12th of June and working on chapters I am weak in till 17th after which I have decided to start giving one full length mock and one previous year test everyday for the next month till NEET.
To be very honest, despite working consistently for most of the last year, I had fallen behind on completion of syllabus but I'm not going to give up this close to my goal. Joining this challenge is a way for me to hold myself accountable, so I hope it helps me with that.
My next test is on 4th June, and it has some high weightage chapters like Optics, so I'm focusing on that at the moment.

Neet is on 17th July????!!!!????!!!
Yeah or so TOI says, I saw the news and panicked lol, but at least that's out of the way now, since we have no say in when the exam is and it is most definitely not before 17th I'd say just work your hardest atp

Hw do u manage ur schedules?? I am new to dis
Hey anon, are you talking about NEET? My schedule is a little like this:
7:30 to 9:30 - Session 1
10:30- 1:00 - Session 2
2:00 - 5:00 - Session 3
7:00 - 9:00 - Session 4
And then I revise and sleep
I use Umeed and Yakeen from PW to study, and divide my time based on my to-do list for the day. If you'd like to talk more about the same, you can reach out in my dms 💗
