Grand Finale Production Trailer from Hofesh Shechter Company on Vimeo.
Internationally-acclaimed artist Hofesh Shechter has single-handedly created a new genre: part dance, part gig, part theatre and wholly original, his work has its own instantly identifiable and entirely unique voice.
Grand Finale is the feverishly anticipated new show from “One of the British dance scene’s hottest properties” (New York Times) and will receive its world premiere at La Villette in Paris in co-production with Théâtre de la Ville on 14 June, followed by an extensive international tour.
Performed by a ten-strong tribe of world-class dancers and accompanied by a live band, Grand Finale combines a cacophonic, pulsating score and richly theatrical set and costume design with the incredibly anarchic energy of Shechter’s choreography, and portrays a world in freefall.
The company’s exceptional ensemble of dancers comes from 8 different countries. They are Chien-Ming Chang, Frédéric Despierre, Rachel Fallon, Mickael Frappat, Yeji Kim, Kim Kohlmann, Erion Kruja, Merel Lammers, Attila Ronai, Diogo Sousa.
Choreography & Music by Hofesh Shechter Set & Costumes by Tom Scutt Lighting Design by Tom Visser Music Collaborators: Nell Catchpole & Yaron Engler Associate Artistic Director: Bruno Guillore
Produced by Hofesh Shechter Company and commissioned by Georgia Rosengarten.
Our Commissioning Partners are Sadler’s Wells, Théâtre de la Ville-Paris / La Villette-Paris and Brighton Dome and Festival. Co-commissioned by Colours International Dance Festival Stuttgart, Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, Romaeuropa Festival, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Marche Teatro / Inteatro Festival together with Danse Danse Montréal, HELLERAU -European Center for the Arts Dresden, Dansens Hus Oslo, Athens and Epidaurus Festival, HOME Manchester and Scène Nationale d’Albi.

A Pál utcai fiúk (Fábri Zoltán, 1968) from Nemzeti Filmintézet Filmarchívum on Vimeo.
A századelőn járunk, a budapesti VIII. kerületben két kisdiák csapat vetélkedik egymással. A Pál utcai grundon játszó gyerekek tudomást szereznek róla, hogy a fűvészkertben bandázó vörösingesek, élükön Áts Ferivel, támadásra készülnek ellenük. Bokát választják vezérnek, mindenki tiszti rangot kap, egyedül a vézna Nemecsek Ernő marad közlegény, akit ráadásul később igaztalanul árulással vádolnak. Hűségét bizonyítandó, a kisfiú egy később végzetesnek bizonyuló partizánakcióra indul, majd elérkezik a nagy csata napja is.
Részletesen a filmről: filmarchiv.hu/hu/alapfilmek/film/a-pal-utcai-fiuk-1
The Boys of Paul Street
General Boka and his small team defend their "sweet ground" against the heavy odds of the red-shirt team, outwitting them. They could not have won if the common soldier, Nemecsek, whom they condemned as a traitor, had not discovered the rich Geréb's treason, taking on humiliating cold baths in exchange.

Conférence Le Labo Paris JPP AFC 2020 : Nouveaux Workflows from AFC on Vimeo.

Fashion Visuals with 3D Scanned Models from Tobias Gremmler on Vimeo.
Fabric and skin is translated into a digital mesh that acts like a dynamic membrane between body and the surrounding space. Like fashion, it constructs/deconstructs identity and becomes a media that propagates information in form of textures, patterns and shapes. The work visualizes this underlying forces in forms of threads weaving together and tearing apart fragments of cloth and skin. Exhibited as scenographic media installation at Osage Gallery during HK|Runway.
Organised by Osage Art Foundation and The Hong Kong Design Institute, HK|Runway! is an unconventional multidisciplinary project in which fashion is redefined as multifaceted enterprise and artistic process. By juxtaposing garments, design, art, music, choreography, and architecture, HKIRunway! moves beyond the traditional givens of a fashion week-catwalks.

Blue Shining (Stanley Kubrick x David Lynch) from Richard Vezina on Vimeo.
What would The Shining look like had it been directed by David Lynch? Would it be a dream or a nightmare? Blue Shining combines both worlds in a playful manner by integrating elements from Lynch's films into Kubrick's movie to give the Stephen King classic a Lynchian atmosphere. Can you find all the hidden items, including the blue key from Mulholland Dr.?... Enjoy!
============= Update, June 10, 2015: Comments on the Web show that some people don't understand the point of this video. With this mash-up, I didn't mean to insinuate at all that The Shining would have been a better movie had it been directed by David Lynch! The Shining IS a masterpiece, after all. The only goal of this mash-up is to entertain people. David Lynch has his own unique style, and I integrated excerpts from his movies to the Shining for fun only. Kubrick and Lynch are both geniuses, and their movies are self-sufficient. I'll say it again: do not take this mash-up seriously! =============
Films: The Shining, Eraserhead, The Elephant Man, Dune, Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks, Fire Walk with Me, Lost Highway, The Straight Story, Mulholland Drive, Inland Empire
Music: Angelo Badalamenti, Peter Ivers, Victor Young/Edward Heyman, Powermad, Toto, Rammstein, David Lynch/Chrysta Bell
Keywords: tribute, homage, hommage, homenaje, tributo, omaggio, doctor sleep
