i finished LUNACID yesterday. that shit was so fun. i have mixed feelings on the ending though spoilers below

like WHY did they choose to go for an undertale ass power of friendship type ending on the second half of the boss fight?? it was so out of nowhere. that kind of thing worked really well in undertale because like you get to meet all these characters and become friends with them and learn about them and become attached but the lunacid npcs dont really like fit that at all. literally the only character i was attached to was garrat the hound and he just gets killed unceremoniously. which i think is fine! it fit the tone of the game. but then bringing all these other characters who i at most was friendly acquaintances with to save my life dramatically was like. just kind of weird

this wouldve been easily avoided by making me meet them along my journey naturally instead of them all just being on the hub area by default. in dark souls 1 you like, meet npcs and save them and then do quests for them and shit, you get to advance their storylines and learn about them as you advance through the world, and with many of them you get to feel like you're adventuring alongside them. in lunacid you meet sheryl once at her shop in boiling grotto and thats it, you meet demi at a couple of places which was fun but never really made me feel like she was doing something important, shes just kind of there. all of these characters show up at the end like its ok!!! were all in this together!!!! but like damn yall were just sitting on your asses in the hub area i did all the hard work. and as much as i wish there had been more interaction and dialogue and stuff with them, that wouldve all been fine, if it wasnt for that second half of the final boss fight. i liked the actual ending even, it was awesome! just that power of friendship bit was so out of nowhere it soured some of it for me. it was silly

which is sad cause like, the dialogue from etna after you kill sucsarius was so charming it made me like her like 10 times as much. it was so cute!!! if that had happened earlier maybe i wouldve been more excited to see her at the end! its a shame.

if i talk about having played league recently and you make like "oh my godd are you okay??" jokes im going to find you so annoying. like are you assuming that im a 14 year old grinding out ranked games and getting angry and yelling at people and shit? cause thats a very silly thing to assume. its a funny little game you can play on occasion with friends and do dumb stuff in. feels bad to share a fun silly thing that happened in a game i enjoy and be met with worry or being made fun of like come on we're all adults here! a lot of league players are toxic dudes screaming slurs at each other but if you have chat muted and dont play ranked and play with friends its such a fun time. i could even play solo and still have a good time but its not as fun if youre not doing weird shit with friends. ok rant over the arena mode is fun as hell
