😃😃
i’ll forever laugh at how i started reading loveless and had to stop to figure myself out. it called me out on something i’d been denying for ages and i’ll be forever glad about it because i’m actually starting to accept myself and having georgia to relate to is really, really helpful.

She Drives Me Crazy one shot
She Drives Me Crazy is a literal GOD SEND. It was written by Kelly Quindlen and I really recommend you check it out if you haven't already.
Also, I wrote this in one sitting and refuse to edit or revise. Good luck soldiers.
Scottie grins at Irene. The kind of grin that makes her face cramp up. A small price to pay for having such a beautiful girlfriend, she thought to herself. The two of them lay on Irene’s bed, Irene on her back while she scrolls through her phone and Scottie keeping herself propped up on her elbow to stay facing Irene. It was later in the night after a date at the Chuck Munny. Both of them had already put on more comfortable clothing. Irene has her glasses on, just like she did when they were forced to share Honey Bell’s bed. Only this time, Scottie embraced the summersaults her stomach did from being so close to Irene. Scottie’s grin grew. Finally, Irene shoots Scottie a quick glance from her phone, putting on an uninterested demeanor.
“Can I help you?” Irene says, continuing to scroll through her phone . Scottie just grinned back, “I love it when you wear your glasses”
Irene only raises an eyebrow, still pretending to only focus on her phone. “Yeah?”
Scottie brushes her thumb against Irene's cheek, holding all of her love for Irene in her eyes. “Yeah, I really do.”
This is enough for Irene to crack. She turns over so that she too is facing Scottie. “You’re dumb” she manages. She tries to keep her cool, even though her heart feels like it's about to rip out of her chest.
“I get that a lot.” Scottie leans in, snatching Irene's glasses off her face before Irene could even object. She tries them on, and lets out an audible groan, “Jesus Christ, I take it all back. You're so damn blind.” Scottie pushes herself into a sitting position with exaggerated caution, like she might tip over any minute. "You live like this?"
Irene rolls her eyes, reaching back for her glasses. “Shut up, asshole.” After taking her glasses back she sits up facing Scottie.
“Is that why you have Mary? Is she like, your secret seeing-eye dog?”
“Funny.”
“Tell me about it-”
Before Scottie can finish her remark, Irene kisses her. “Finally, I thought I’d never get you to shut up.”
For what must be the thousandth time that day, Scottie gives Irene a wide grin.
