tomorrow is a 'values day' where theres no classes (thank god) but we do stuff about the values of the school and it always ends up being so dumb but im in english right now and my english teacher (who i REALLY do not like) just told us "you have to be in mass attire tomorrow so guys wear like suit and ties and ladies wear something lovely but modest" like excuse me were gonna be on zoom. theres no way im doing that. no one will care. also that excludes a bunch of people who dont fit into either gender, or arent out yet (like, well, me, im not about to out myself as trans to a hardcore catholic likely conservative 60-year old white woman) but i suppose that's the fault of the school. like i know its a catholic school but be more inclusive goddamn

my english class/teacher is so heteronormative. “[girl’s name] do you have a boyfriend/[boy’s name] do you have a girlfriend” “boys call on girls girls call on boys.” excuse you. some of us are neither. i dont expect you to know that but youve been transphobic in the past. among other things. it makes me sick.

ok i have a good one: i’ve noticed that a lot of ex christians online have talked about how if you’re doing ok in life it’s turned around on you. “you had a good lunch? people are starving” “your house is chilly? some people don’t have houses at all” it creates unnecessary guilt for people, i’m still kinda feeling that effect. and might i add it relies on the idea that if you do anything wrong it means you’re going to hell. i cant get behind the idea that you’ll go to hell for stealing from a corporation that can handle a hit. or you’ll go to hell for something you didn’t even know was wrong. that was a major reason why christianity just couldn’t work for me, i didn’t like guilting people for small things. and i’m sorry this was long.
very true! also its okay dont worry about the length :)
