I am not someone who reblogs stuff but this is so important right now!! I know we're all looking for these answers. Stay safe everyone!

So I'm sure almost everyone knows about the porn bot problem by now, so here's a post detailing why it's a problem, and what we need to do about it.

First off, yes, always block the porn bots. Don't be mislead into thinking they're ok to keep around because they 'inflate your follower count.'

Firstly, no one cares about, nor can anyone even see, your follower count. Be free from the shackles that are the bullshit other socials told you was important. Don't let your ego be tied to a number. Having a lot of followers won't earn you any clout here.

Secondly, bots only follow blogs to try and legitimize their malware (and other dodgy) links. This post goes into more detail about that.

Now that that's out of the way, you'll need to know how to recognize a porn bot. This round the template seems to be:

A profile photo of a pretty lady or guy, usually in their underwear, with a similar header photo.

A bio with some combination of: [Age] // [Name] // [Location] // [Emoji] // [Top Bullshit% OnlyFans]

URL consisting of a name followed by a number (i.e: firstlast999)

Typically an empty blog, or if there is content, it's all dodgy links. Visible, but empty, Likes Tab, & occasionally a visible Following Tab.

You likely recognize the pattern.

So, what you want to do is, first, report the blog as spam On mobile it'll look like this:

On mobile you'll need to report spam first, and then go back to the menu again to block.

On desktop it will look like this, and unlike mobile, you'll be able to report spam and block in the same motion:

If I remember correctly,* be sure to "Report Spam", not "Report sexually explicit material" to feed the bots to the proper channels. Because the blog is empty, they haven't posted anything explicit that would violate TOS. However, staff can recognize a bot, and if you report the blog for spam (the actual problem) they'll take a look, more than likely find that the blog is posting or DMing dodgy links, and dispose of it.

[UPDATE: It was suggested on another post that the bots track your IP if you click on them to send more your way. However, someone from staff corrected and said this is incorrect. They also corrected the 'guilt by association' myth that bots following you can get your blog flagged by tumblr.

That said, that trail all led to another, easier, way to report/block the bots all from your Follower Tab instead of visiting each blog separately, unfortunately it only works on desktop:

(For newbies, click on the little person icon at the top right of your screen and scroll to find the Followers tab under the blog/sideblog you need to block a pornbot from.)

*I remember this information from a blog that used to be all about taking down the pornbots. Unfortunately I do not know if that blog is still active, nor can I remember the URL. If anyone knows what blog I'm referring to, and/or if they're still active, please feel free to tag them so others can follow them for more tips!

I can't even think of any specific examples at the moment but I love the trope of the innocent villain who thinks they're doing good but is really being instructed or even emotionally controlled by their subtly malicious assistant. Like the supposed main villain is really just lost in life and keeps turning back to the assistant for support because they trust them to make all the plans work out, but really it was all deceit!!

People who post the word "Egg" without context are actually building a shopping list and among the many who've contributed, they aim to have a full carton of eggs. The problem is that nobody stated how many eggs the carton was meant to contain, so the grocery trip may never be finished. Having said that: Bagel

Sero: Goes to the therapist friend over trivial stresses, but denies ever having bigger problems. The crippling anxiety isn’t worthy of your help, so he’ll just hide that, thanks.

Bakugo: The “friend” who doesn't want to be friends, and absolutely doesn't want to talk about feelings, be them his or yours.. But once you manage to get him going on either he will not stop until you recognize your worth / he has vented and cried himself into a corner and slowly sinks into the floor with trauma still mostly unsolved.

Ashido: Brings the popcorn.

Slight rebranding notice~

Hiya! To the, maybe like eleven, people who look at my posts, you’ll notice I’ve updated my blog a teensy weensy bit. My bio now says Queen Creation, rather than Queen Weeb (Actual blog name hasn’t changed, just the label there). I’ve noticed the writing community on Tumblr lately and, as a writer myself, I want to participate in that. I’ve decided to start posting more varied content, such as quotes, late-night ramblings, playlists, art, and if I’m really brave, possibly some of my writing! I’ve been terrified in the past to post anything I’ve made, mostly for the fear of it being stolen, but I’m challenging myself to do things that scare me this year and if everything’s got side-effects, then the risk of the internet pulling an internet (gasp!) on me sounds like a fair trade to spread a little creativity!

Hello~ I got locked out of my account for so long, and was unable to post. I know absolutely nobody missed me, and I hardly posted anyway so you probably didn’t even notice, but I’m back! Prepare for more lousy anime memes and other stuff.

My first year on Tumblr!

HIya! So apperantly I missed my one year anniversary of my first post, but that isn’t stopping me from making a little celebration post. A quick thank you to everyone who has enjoyed my content over the past 372 days, weather or not you ‘hearted’ them or followed my blog, I’m happy if even a few people are given a smile or two from my memes, theories, and happy birthday collages. And now, a little backstory. This blog has been a real first from me. Before this, I didn’t share anything I made online, and to this day I still don’t with most things. My art, personal life, ideas, stories.. It’s all stayed private and most of it will never see the light of day. And I’m ok with that. 

When I first posted on here, I was nervous about what people would think on the pretty much non-existent chance anyone actually saw it, and I never would have thought I’d get this far, especially with my inconsistent posting, less than quality content, and minimal effort put in overall. Somehow I got to right now. I currently have 37 followers, and I appriciate every single one of them individually. It’s easy to do that when I would’ve appriciated just one.  I don’t want to make this way too long, since most likely not many people will read it anyway, but I really wanted to show my appriciation and share a little of this journey with you. I’ll be very grateful to get more support on future posts, and now that I’m seeing how many people actually notice and don’t hate my stuff, I’ll be sure to post more frequently and with more original content! If anyone has requests, I’d be sure to look into them. I’ve considered character recolors, anime reviews, and more original memes. If any of that interests you, please feel free to let me know and I’ll drop the hesitation. If not, I’m mostly doing this for fun anyway, so we’ll just see what I come up with.
