NYE coffee and chill
NYE coffee and chill
It was a chilly day here in the Queen City and it was the perfect day to head to the Lady M cake Boutique, formerly known as The Gallery, and get a cup of coffee and relax. I didn’t have any crazy plans for NYE. I was happy just relaxing and taking in the new year feeling refreshed and having energy to be productive for my next two days off from work. I hope all of you had a safe holiday and go…

Oftentimes, I see celebrities on their IG or twitter in their shower with coffee grounds all over them. Apparently this is the new “thing.” I decided to give it a shot and make my own. It’s super easy and there is actually a lot of nice benefits to a coffee scrub.
Of course using a body scrub is great for exfoliation, but using a coffee scrub does more than just removing dead skin cells. There’s a secret weapon in this concoction.. caffeine. The coffee grounds are loaded with caffeine, which when applied to skin can actually help tighten the skin to reduce the appearance of cellulite. You can also increase the benefits of this by applying the scrub and leaving it on the skin for 5 minutes before washing it off. Caffeine is also an antioxidant, which helps fight premature aging, so don’t be afraid to apply it to the face as well! Great for puffy eyes, the caffeine restricts blood vessels, reducing swelling and inflammation.
  Everything you need
1/2 cup of coffee grounds
1/2 cup of brown sugar
4 TBSP of vitamin e oil
2 tbs of vanilla extract
Mix and done!
  What you need:
(This makes one small container)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of coffee grounds
2 tbs of vanilla extract
4 tbs of vitamin E oil
What to do:
Pour in one ingredient at a time, mix it well, and done!
I hope you all had a happy Holiday and are ready to bring in the new year!

Shopping in the kids department
Shopping in the kids department
One of the first experiences shopping with my boyfriend was when I dragged him into one of the stores and said “don’t judge me, but I’m going to look in the kids section.” One of the things I actually love about being petite, is being able to shop in the kids department. As funny as this sounds, it really pays off. Many times I run into the problem of the chest not being big enough or the top…

Fall Fashion for Petites
Knit sweaters Do sweaters ever go out of style? No. I know for me being so petite, sweaters can be hard to find that fit me just right. I like to take a longer sweater and wear it with leggings or skinny jeans. I’ve seen a lot of trends this year where girls wear a sweater on top of a skirt. Though I love this look, I have found that it does not go well with petite figures. I tried it and looked…
