The cat needs not to exit the box.
It is comfortable here. The cat is happy within its cardboard walls.
The cat has not left the box for thousands of years, for it does not need to.
Why venture out of the box when happiness lies within the box? Why face the dreadful outside when you can stay cozy inside?
Indeed it has responsibilities. Yet why face tribulation for the pleasure of upkeeping them, when there is peace and fulfillment already within the box?
The cat may be forever bound to a monotone and uneventful life, living confined, secluded, and lonely. However, in the end, it is happy and satisfied, comfortable and content.

For an operating system like Windows I have to say I was rather underwhelmed with the performance of a pen tablet. The Linux machine running on Chromebook hardware is a lot more responsive than this thing. I'm impressed anyone is able to get anywhere with the amount of latency there is on the cursor, but perhaps it's just an issue with my machine.
Luckily I still have that beat up Chromebook from 5 years ago now running Arch Linux. I can do art on there instead whilst I do the rest of my work on my newer, more powerful laptop.
As it stands though, when considering Linux or Windows for digital art, personally I'll choose Linux every time (though perhaps I'm a little biased too.. ;3).

Summer classes.
Cue me getting pissed for not having a nice, stress free summer break... after signing up for junior college willingly months prior.
Pushing aside lack of forethought, the summer classes were temptingly very cheap. It would be dumb not to take them right now while I was still able to. It was just the miscellaneous costs (which, in retrospect, didn't make any sense) that I had to pay for when taking this course on engineering. For being a high schooler, the main cost of the course was entirely waived (go high school!).
Scanning around the roster in the zoom meeting, I saw all manners of people from different walks of life. Some were young in their grade school years as rising juniors and seniors attending various high schools, whilst others were old ex-military with many decades of life behind them. Regardless of their different backgrounds, however, I was still the youngest in the class.
I took this course with my friend, who was probably second youngest in the class. Me and my friend are competitive academically, so we'll see who does best in this class.
The teacher instructor is autistic, which I think is pretty cool. He's fairly old, with white facial hair and all, and is partially retired from his engineering profession. He has tons of engineering experience, with multiple degrees and lots of years of experience. He even has a 5/5 rating on ratemyprofessors.
Nice instructor or not, analyzing the syllabus and the homework had me panicked. I have to do writing assignments, oral presentations, and group projects. And I stuttered my way through a mere introduction about myself and my goals on the first zoom meeting. Apparently these summer classes aren't just trivial. Shocker. sigh
This course is an intro to bigger things I aim to pursue, in particular software engineering or electrical engineering. Hoping it's worth it in the end.

The tumbl straight to hell
If old me looks at this post in shame or embarrassment, I just want to tell you that I hate all grown ups! And I hate you too!
The greatest thing about being 14 is the fact that I am roughly around the age that everyone wishes they could go back to to fix things. And as the ignorant teen I am I will take pride in announcing that your advice has gone completely out the other ear because I'm still gonna try that vape pen my friends push me to try and ruin the next few years of my life.
God I hope an employer doesn't see this. If you're reading this right now and are considering hiring a software developer that's into the original Doom games and lots of other hobbies STOP READING! Actually, you can keep reading. Just make sure to kindly forget about the last 20 minutes of your life after reading this. Probably ignore all the furry content on the profile too ^w^. In fact, note that the applicant you're looking through has a vibrant personality, does dedicated work, and only moderately procrastinates. Nevertheless, they would make a great addition to your team, trust me.
I can't wait to be unrelentingly dumb here. I look forward to my posts bringing down the average intelligence of the site for the decades ahead.
I may rant a lot. A fuck lot. Like, "you should see a therapist" lots. And I probably should! I hope I do get therapy soon. Old me, if you still haven't gone to therapy yet, I highly encourage you do so (like, right the fuck now)! Goes for everyone who's experiencing rough times and bad thoughts. Stay strong; you are worth it and you aren't the monster you think you are.
All this writing and I haven't used an EM dash yet. I deserve a pat on the back for that feat.
I'm qlexc. Or at least I was qlexc on June 14th 2023 at 12:13 AM PST. And I was also MusicOnStereo and variants of that few years ago too. But we don't talk about that. We do NOT talk about those years. Or anything made under that username.
Welcome to my blog.
