Hello everyone, if you can please share and donate to the Shehab family’s campaign to support them through displacement and famine. Sahar, her family of eight (five of whom are children), and extended family (three are children) need funds to survive as food, water, formula and baby products become more and more scarce and expensive. All donations will go towards evacuation funds, and to help them recover afterwards and build towards a brighter future once more. Please keep this family in your hearts and minds, and show them your kindness through sharing and donating, thank you. @danashehab is one of the accounts for the family who contacted and asked me to make this post for them.
Tags below the cut, let me know if you’d rather be removed.

A short timeline of events
March 2025 - Blockade
Israel prevents entry of food and humanitarian supplies to Gaza. Then they unilaterally break ceasefire.
May 2025 - Opening of GHF death traps
On May 27, Private US contractors roll out aid "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" sites backed by Israel. GHF was led by Jake Wood, a US military veteran, and now is directed by John Acree, longtime US imperialist who previously worked with USAID, and Johnnie Moore, an evangelical christian zionist and capitalist. These sites are all located in Israeli military zones, where journalists have no access.
June 2025 - GHF sites are condemned by everyone (except the zionists). Daily massacres continue at GHF sites.
GHF is immediately identified as a tool of genocide and condemned by aid and human rights organizations, the United Nations, and literally everyone on the ground from doctors to civilians.
The Gaza Health Ministry states that GHF "does not adhere to any professional or ethical standards of humanitarian work" and confirms civilian reports that GHF sites are staffed by armed private security personnel, and that both GHF staff and Israeli military have fired directly upon people collecting aid.
Save the Children's regional director for the Middle East, North Africa and eastern Europe, Ahmad Alhendawi released a statement that children were killed or injured in more than half of the fatal attacks at GHF sites, stating: "No child should be killed searching for food. This is not a humanitarian operation – it's a death trap. Forcing civilians into fenced-in zones only for them to be gunned down is the opposite of humanitarian – it's inhumane."
As of June 25, 549 people had been killed and more than 4,000 injured at or near GHF sites.
July 2025 - People continue to starve and endure daily massacres
As of July 16, The death toll of Palestinians killed near GHF aid hubs reached 700.
As of July 21, the death toll of Palestinians killed trying to access food aid reached 1,054.
UNRWA (The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East)'s Ms. Touma stated: “The so-called GHF distribution scheme is a sadistic death-trap. Snipers open fire randomly on crowds as if they're given a license to kill… This cannot be our new norm. Humanitarian assistance is not the job of mercenaries.”
As of July 24, the Health Ministry reported that there were 28,000 cases of malnutrition in Gaza, with over 5,000 recorded in July alone.
On July 29, IPC releases an alert stating that the "worst case scenario of famine" is unfolding in Gaza.
August 2025 - Today
Today alone over 79 people have been killed trying to reach food aid.

"Why is ContraPoints saying [advocating for Palestine] is totally futile? Because ContraPoints doesn't want to do anything about it... She feels that the only reasonable way to live is to accept that things are bad and not going to change. Even though that is actually unreasonable. Even though it is actually also morally quite bankrupt. You are the one who is experiencing doom. That is the thing that you feel. That does not mean other people are supporting a doomed cause. It means that you feel doom about their cause. Examine why you might feel that way. They thought Vietnam was a doomed cause, too. Cuban revolution was a doomed cause. Chinese revolution was a doomed cause... "Zero Palestinian lives were saved"... I don't think this is true. For instance, think about the vast amount of fundraising campaigns that have tangibly helped, even as aid is blockaded in Israel, that has tangibly helped Palestinians. They have gained support as a result of this activism. So saying "zero Palestinian lives were saved" again, this is not true. This is not true. But second of all, even if it was true, you're going to blame people for speaking out against things that are actually wrong because it wasn't effective enough instead of just like offering better ways to do it? Does something have to be done or not? Does something have to be done or not?"

- 1 kg of lentils = €10 - A large family needs 3 kg = €30
- 1 kg of flour = €25 - We need 2 kg = €50
- Firewood for cooking = €5
- Salt and spices = €5
Total = €90 (without fees)
Total with banking fee (+45%) = €130.5
This means €130.5 is the cost for my family of 6 people to prepare just one basic meal in a single day.

I'm visiting some dear friends of mine this week, and all of us have at least one disability. While we were eating breakfast this morning we were discussing the impact medication has on our lives.
I was sharing how difficult everything was for me when I had moved to a new city where the cost of housing was much more expensive and I couldn't afford medication. Over the course of the year, my energy deteriorated rapidly. First I couldn't keep up with my job, then I couldn't keep up with housework, then I couldn't keep up with basic hygiene, and eventually even chewing and swallowing became difficult. Sometimes walking to the train, I thought about lying down on the side of the road and how long it would take before a cop would force me to move. I wanted to die but I didn't even have the energy to figure out how.
My friend asked me if I had chronic fatigue. I don't know, because I was never diagnosed. I don't claim it because right now I'm very functional. I can keep up with hygiene, cook, clean, do work, and even exercise! But this is only possible from the combination of four different medications. Right now, I am extremely fortunate in that I have much of my medical expenses covered by my wife's health insurance that she has through work. I pay $415 USD every month for these things I need. I can never take this for granted because I know so vividly how difficult it is to survive without them.

I appeal to you all ❤️🩹
Hello, my name is Fahed, and I'm from Gaza. Life here is harder than you can imagine, but today I share my story with hope in my heart, because your kindness has given us tremendous strength. This is my daughter, Sahar, speaking in the video. She once hoped to become a doctor.
When I first reached out, I couldn’t have imagined we’d make it this far. Your support has been a light in these difficult times, and we are so deeply grateful for every single contribution.
But the road ahead is still challenging. Every day, we’re reminded of how much we’ve lost and how much we still need for your support, we can get out of this great danger. .
Here’s what life in Gaza looks like for my family right now:
There is no safe place. Danger surrounds us from all directions. The bombing is violent every moment, every day. Dozens of women and children are dying. Zero health care, pollution everywhere. Outbreaks of disease and famine that ravage our bodies.
How You Can Help Us Cross the Finish Line Even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference:
$5 may seem small, but to us it makes a difference. And a reminder that kindness still exists. ❤️
Can’t donate? Reblog this post to help us reach someone who can. Every share matters more than you know
Thank you for helping us get this far. Your generosity and compassion have already brought us closer to a better tomorrow, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.
With all my love and gratitude,

@danashehab has been fundraising since may and is just over €15,000 away from their goal l. as stated in the screenshot people are starting to believe the rafah crossing will open so it’s important to make sure everyone has the funds in case they are allowed to evacuate.
thee shehab family consists of dana (13), sahar (14), mona (9), malak (5), yehya (1.5), fahed, (38), reem (32), and grandmother mona (60). they have been shadowbanned and deleted a few times. you can also find this family at @monashehab
EDIT AUG 24:
The family has had to raise their goal to cover their extended family’s evacuation fees since they are unable to make a new GFM.
The new goal is €85,000.

My friend Fadel (@fadel-dani) wrote to me today. He asked me to imagine going about my day, and being surrounded by death and danger everywhere.
He writes about the narrowing of life in the genocide:
They bombed a mosque, so we don't go to pray at the mosques. They bombed a café, so we don't sit in cafés. They bombed a bus, so we don't ride buses. They bombed a car, so we don't drive cars. They bombed a tent, They bombed a water station, They bombed a diesel seller, They bombed a charging point, They bombed and bombed and bombed…
He had been trying to raise funds to get emergency surgery after surviving a bombing that destroyed his home and left him injured with shrapnel in his body.
Before he can even travel to emergency care, he needs medication that costs $400 every month, and he and his family need food so they do not die from starvation in the genocidal famine imposed by Israel.
His campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters (#197) and 90-ghost.
Every donation you send will make a huge difference in his family's access to food, speeding up his access to surgery, and relieving his chronic pain. Please donate.

Our situation has gotten very bad here in Gaza, all prices have risen terribly and we literally have nothing to eat (yes we have nothing to eat).!!!! Can you imagine that we haven't eaten anything since yesterday!!! What's worse than this is that the bombing has increased dramatically because a ceasefire is approaching and the occupation is trying to kill as many people as possible to achieve a great victory in its war. I don't know if my family and I will be among those killed in the coming hours or not or if we will die from lack of food or from hunger!! The bombing doesn't stop, the displacement continues, the killing continues, everything continues brutally and it is impossible to stop. I urgently need a surgery outside Gaza and I need to buy food as soon as possible. We cannot do anything because of the hunger we are going through!!
My campaign vatted by : @gazavetters Here in line (#197).

Meet Fadel
Fadel is multiply disabled.
A very serious accident left his leg paralyzed for a long time, and now he walks with great difficulty. He also has thalassemia, a blood disorder, which leaves him incredibly fatigued. The medication he needs costs €400 every month. He suffers from dizziness and nausea all the time.
Today he told me:
The Israeli occupation army announced an evacuation order for the entire Gaza Strip this morning. The bombing was very intense and did not stop the whole time. I am very tired and my feet hurt so much I can't walk on them. I have severe swelling in my thigh and the pain is very severe. I went to have my blood sample tested 4 days ago and unfortunately my blood count is 8 and it is still very weak. The doctor prescribed me a new medication, but I don't know how I will be able to buy it.
Fadel needs urgent surgery
Over 550 days ago, Fadel's family home was bombed and he was left with iron shrapnel embedded in his body. The medical infrastructure in Gaza has been decimated and he URGENTLY needs to get to a better-resourced hospital to get this shrapnel surgically removed safely.
Fadel's family is starving
Israel has created and maintained famine in Gaza as a genocidal tactic. Not only do they prevent food aid from entering, but they target crowds of Palestinians waiting for the distribution of aid.
Fadel and his brothers recently traveled together to an aid site, hungry and desperate for food, only to be met with Israeli snipers.
Fadel's campaign is vetted
His campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters (#197) and 90-ghost.
Earlier this year he raised nearly 50% of his goal, but on April 25th, 2025, GoFundMe cruelly deleted his fundraiser with no warning or explanation (something this company has done to many Palestinians trying to survive genocide) and he was forced to start over with a new campaign.
Despite GoFundMe's deletion of his first campaign automatically returning all donations to the donors, most people who previously donated have not taken the time to send that money back to him.
Today as I write this (June 29, 2025), he has has raised 42% of his goal, still over €2,000 less than the amount he had raised back in April.
He has escaped death so many times, and he needs our help to survive long enough to get to a hospital who can treat his injuries.
You Can Help:
Donate any amount you can to his campaign
