So… this is a #nocturne of a house and pollarded trees on red paper in charcoal in oil. With these I never know what’s happened until they get back to the house. so imagine my surprise when I saw the beautiful feathered marks on the right hand side. Emergence. Coed y bedw soil in linseed oil on nylon tule. Trying to make a painting that is all about the pigment. So, no ground and no support. SSP Landscape commission. Hedgerow and wheat fields painted in soil. The soil is dried and ground and then mulled with linseed oil and wax to make paint.
