Hey all, how's it going? Long time no see. :)

This isn't me returning or anything, it's just a promo-boost. I made this blog when I was a teenager, and as such, made some dumb choices over the years that I regret obviously. There were things I could have handled better, but it was… 2010s tumblr to be fair. A lot of us were learning at that point I think.

So there's a new @puyopuyoconfessions blog by another user, and it's great! If you haven't checked it out already, I highly recommend it! They've done a wonderful job so far<3

Sorry that it took so long to do this last one, I unexpectedly came down with a cold which caused a mild scare. :(

I think the roster is indeed going to be less strict after PPT2, at least that’s what I’m hoping for.

… Booooooo.

God, as much as Xander Mobus did a good job, I now wish we lived in a reality where Maurice LaMarche voiced Satan. It would have been all to fitting given who voices Sig.

So that was the last these, so now I’ll be pulling the plug on this blog for good, unless we get a super crazy update from the franchise that’s worth pulling this blog out of the grave for.

Wow, so many people are declaring their love for Satan lately. Rulue better step it up!!

Yeah, admittedly, I think I’m definitely part of the problem regarding the doomer behavior. It’s definitely because a lot of the same people from 2012 are no longer a part of the Puyo fan-base, which sadly includes me waning off.

Speaking of me being a doomer, I do not trust the western fan-base with developing a game, lol.

I soooo want the cute overworld Nazo Puyo style back…

That last confession confused me.. even if it was in the queue, I’m not sure what image I would use for it.

Also in agreement with that first one. Despite my issues against SEGA, Compile messed up quite a few times.

End of Puyo Confessions (Part 1)

Okay, jokes aside, I decided that every weekend, I would show off ten of the confessions that were in line to be queue’d, but didn’t make it. That way, everyone’s thoughts are heard and not left out!

Not sure if this qualifies as confession, but could someone help this anon out? I don’t know the Quest characters well enough and lord knows Nexus is poorly organized.

So many Ecolo fans up in here!!

Super Puyo Tsu is one of the best versions of Tsu, so I was extremely excited when it came to SNES Online on my end-

Also, I prefer having Paprisu over Klug and Lemres at this point. More non-humans welcomed.

I concur with this, their interaction in 20th was hilarious. Ocean Prince absolutely did not care!

So that will be all for today. I’ll see if I can do this again on Sunday, if not, then we’ll wait next weekend for more mini-confession dumps! :>

If someone wanted to make a successor blog, that would be great! I’ll allow it. However, I wouldn’t want anyone doing it feeling like they have to or getting stressed out!

Sunset of Puyo Confessions

So on my break, I was trying to figure out what exactly I wanted to do with this blog. 

I got some solid advice from a couple of people now that there’s more official artwork out there (but this may be a struggle when it comes to getting confessions on Quest characters), but I asked myself if it was really worth it.

Well, maybe not just myself. I ended up asking a few friends too, telling them I was getting exhausted… and it came to a tough decision, but one I think is ultimately best for me, and probably for most of the community.

I think it’s time to Puyo Confessions to come to an end. It’s been running for 7-8 years, and I���ve stuck by Puyo Puyo for over 10-11 years.

I need to move on at some point, remembering the good things. While I still love Puyo Puyo, it being very near and dear to me, supporting me through depression when I was in middle school… I’m no longer a kid, and putting up with the toxic side of the community is becoming increasingly too much to handle. I’m a bit too old to be dealing with internet slap-fights over fictional characters for a children’s puzzle game, yeah? That and I have a new job, which will require me working longer hours as time goes on.

This doesn’t mean I’m going to delete everything people have sent in though!

In fact, I want to make one last post compiling every recent confession I’ve gotten (there’s over 40 of them!) So perhaps next week, we’ll get a nice send-off of everything that I didn’t queue! I’ll even keep this blog up, just as an archive to all of the confessions that were sent in over the years! :>

I think it'd be great if the next anniversary game was sorta like a chronology, having key battles from all of the games and gradually introducing the mechanics.

It could even have time travel or something. Bonus points to Sega if they somehow manage to fit Mean Bean Machine in there somewhere.

Gonna close the inbox for a while

Stuff will still be on queue, but I think a break is definitely needed-- someone pointed out that I don’t have to consistently run this blog and they have a point. ;;

I guess the reason I try to keep this blog active everyday is because... I get so many confessions, and I like bringing in the community together. I’ve always been like that, so don’t think I’m gonna up and ditch this blog! It’s just a small hiatus for me to focus on work rather than interacting back and forth with others.

If I do up and completely abandon Puyo Confessions, then chances are… well, you can call it doomsday, because it means I’ve just given up on trying to make the community peaceful and fun for everyone, lol.

Jokes aside, I am actually working on a novel inspired by Puyo Puyo/Madou Monogatari, so it the series has a dear place to me, in spite of everything that happens. I was hoping that one day, I would get to share this successor with the Puyo/Madou community.

Er, but that kinda shameless self-promotion would only happen if people wanted.

I really hate Lemres. It feels like everyone loves him so I never say it out loud but he blocks us from Sig and Ayashii lore, knows a lot more than he lets on, and doesn't seem all that helpful in the games despite being described as "powerful", so I just end up not wanting him around or getting annoyed when I have to listen to him.
