Your Spiritual Gifts Part 2 - The Role of a Prophet

Ephesians 4: 11 11 And he gave some, apostles; and several, PROPHETS; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. You can find five principle roles that God has anointed all of us believers to fulfill in today's Church. As a young believer who will be strong in the faith I have been called into the role of an Prophet. I was called to the role of a Prophet inside a vision, and my role was later confirmed by means of three ordained Ministers. I have been asked by a number of our readers and others I know to explain the role of a Seer; I hope this inspired article supported with scripture will allow you to understand the role of a Prophet. The Role of a Mystic In Acts 21: 10-11, we see a demonstration of one in the roles of a Prophet, as the Prophet Agabus predicts Paul's future imprisonment. A Prophet often gets revelations into the future and we see in Acts 21: 10-11, how the Prophet Agabus gets a revelation from God about the future of John. The revelation given to Agabus was to prepare the chapel for a coming event; God in His mercy gave Agabus this revelation to inform the church of a significant approaching event of Paul's imprisonment. The word Prophet means "one who speaks forth", in the case of Agabus we see him communicating forth the future as he gets a direct revelation coming from God and Paul's future. God's Prophets are there to help the church and give them direct messages from V?ldigt bra; the role of a Prophet involves being a direct mouthpiece for God in certain circumstances. We also must make the particular distinction between a Christian who prophesies and the function of a Prophet, because they are two completely different roles. A Luciano who prophesies does so for: edification, exhortation in addition to consolation (1 Corinthians 14: 3), however someone who inside the role of Prophet may exercise the above, but they may also speak Gods revelation, rebuke, direction and predict the long run. A person in the role of a Prophet will exercise the essential gift of prophecy as seen in 1 Corinthians 13: 3, but their ministry will be extended well over and above the basic gift of prophecy as described in just one Corinthians 14: 3, their ministry can turn whole churches and nations in a completely different direction. The Role on the Prophet is much more powerful and diverse than simply being a Stacee who prophecies; the role of a Prophet is an ordained ministry that God has directly called that person directly into. The role of a Prophet can have varying tasks; we all saw Jonah's primary objective in the role of Forecaster was to bring the nation of Nineveh into repentance beneath the threat of impending doom. Nehemiah's task as a Telepathist was to rebuild Jerusalem and turn the whole nation close to and stop all the corruption and excess usury, John typically the Baptist had one task as a Prophet and that was going to prepare the way for Jesus Christ, Joseph's role as Psychic was to interpret the Pharaoh's dream and predict another famine in Egypt. We see how these roles acquired powerful effects on not only the church, but they have powerful effects on nations. A Prophet will not only impact the four walls within a church and its congregation, yet a Prophet will have an effect on a whole community plus beyond. A Christian who prophecies does so to: edify, exhort the church, and sometimes to evangelize, but a person in the role of Prophet will be there to have an effect on not only the church, but the broader community, other church buildings, other organizations and nation(s). A Prophet may also have a very vision or dream and be ordained a Prophet by way of God Himself, "Then He said, "Hear now Our words: if there is a prophet among you, I, our creator, make Myself known to him in a vision; I talk with him in a dream. "(Numbers 12: 6) When you are called into the role of a Prophet, you will usually be known as by God and then have ministers of the faith and the like confirmed the calling. After about 12 months of being a new Christian, I had a vision of God the Father and even Jesus, and in that vision they called me as a Prophet, within 12 months of that event; I had three ordained ministers in different denominations tell me that they believed I was your Prophet. The Prophet - God's spokesman: from "pro" = on behalf of / "phet" = to speak. Simply defined, the Prophet is God's spokesman. The Prophet is actually a Fivefold Minister who has been set apart, appointed, and anointed with the ministry gifting of a Prophet, and has been once and for all set into that office. Though every believer includes a vital function he has been anointed and appointed by Lord to perform, it must be understood that no amount of passion, enthusiasm, fervor, prayer, or even Bible study, can vaunt a person into any ministry office, including that of Diviner. It is only the appointing and anointing of the Lord that produces a prophet a prophet. Fivefold ministry starts using a calling, not a desire, and that calling must be from Oplagt. Your mother, your father, or your wife cannot phone you to the ministry; you can't even call yourself; simply God can call a person to the ministry. True prophets are not novices, neither are they mere aspiring ministers. It truly is wise to refer to those in training in a prophetic contacting as "prophets in training, " if they indeed usually are, or a " prophetic end times news tv " if they are "one who prophesies, " rather than a "prophet, " per se. A real prophet is not someone trying to become or in the process of becoming a prophet, rather he IS a prophet, and has for ages been a prophet before he was formed in his mother's womb. While "schools of prophets" can be helpful in developing people been anointed by God with the anointing of a telepathist, one cannot simply take a course to "learn" to be a psychic. No one can really "teach" someone to be a prophet. Prophets are generally not "taught, " but are usually "caught" and then "made" because of the Lord. No one can intrude into any ministry office efficiently, especially the office of the prophet. We describe the ministry offices merely for the sake of understanding them better, but only calling yourself something, whether it be: "a prophet, " or perhaps "a teacher, " or "a '37 Oldsmobile, inches for that matter, does not make you one. Any minister is what he or she is because of what he does and is, not because of just what he calls himself. The best approach for any minister is always to simply do all that God has equipped him together with allows him to do, and let his ministry functionings establish who he is. Ministry offices are not titles or postures to which anyone can be appointed by any human, which includes themselves, or any human agency, but rather they are functions that Christ as the Head of the Church anoints and to which usually He appoints certain believers of His choosing. THE PARTICULAR FUNCTION OF PROPHETS Jer. 1: 10 In this sentirse God gives the general functions of the prophet. The different areas of the prophet's ministry can be summed up in this six-fold description (I have given a brief description of the things i believe to be the general application of each of these facets): 1) to be able to pluck (root) up - "weeds, " both in often the lives of individual believers, as well as "weeds" growing in the exact Church, which is false teaching and brethren. 2) to break down - resistances and rebellion to God's Word, May, and Way by believers. 3) to destroy - vain philosophies and imaginations raised up against the knowledge regarding God; and, Satan's works. 4) to overthrow -- the kingdoms of men; and strongholds of the demon. 5) to build - the Church spiritually upon the inspiration of the Life of Christ. 6) to plant : Christ as the Seed of God in the Church including the individual lives of believers; and, along with Apostles rapid plant Churches. The following are some of the functions of prophets which is often deduced from the composite of many different Scriptures far too many to list individually. Reveal the mind of Christ and present specific instruction concerning His personal will for the lives of an individual as well as for groups. Unveil revelation and illumination and motivated application of the Logos(i. e. The written Word involving God) Give confirmation and witness in various ways by means of their ministry. Relate divine direction to the Church and churches. Elicit repentance, reformation, and restoration. The following are several functions of prophets with a specific Scripture citing to back up them: Amos 3: 7 Prophets are given the secret recommend of God. 1 Sam. 9: 9 Prophets will be SEERS; they see things supernaturally in the Spirit men and women don't see. Jer. 18: 18 Prophets can notice slander supernaturally. 2 Kgs. 6: 8-12 Prophets can easily hear things that are not intended to be heard by others; when God reveals it to them, they can even hear wicked plans conceived in privacy and secrecy. Jer. you: 16, 17 Prophets pronounce judgment Eph. 4: 11-13 Prophets perfect, mature, Saints and the Church to Becoming a man. Rev. 11: 3-13 Prophets will execute God's decision. Prophets expose sin: Eph. 5: 11 Exposure connected with sin is a Divine charge. Jn. 4: 7-19 And also, a Prophet, exposed the sin of the Samaritan female. Mat. 23 Jesus, a Prophet, exposed the trouble of the Pharisees. Mk. 6: 18 John the Baptist, a Prophet, exposed the sin of Herod. Alternating current. 13: 10, 11 Prophet Paul (Ac. 13: 1) exposed sin and brought temporal judgment upon Elymas the magician. Ac. 16: 16 Prophet Paul unearths the sin of witchcraft in a fortune-teller. Gal. a couple of: 11-13 Prophet Paul exposed Apostle Peter's sin with hypocrisy. 2 Sam. 11: 1 - 12: tough luck Nathan the Prophet exposed the sin of Donald. 2 Kgs. 5: 26 Elisha the Prophet revealed the sin of his servant. The Life of a diviner A life of a prophet, or else a prophet that is named to be in the office of prophet can be filled with rejection, miss-understanding, loneliness, depression and anger with the world and even the very church body. The revelations given to the prophet at times are too hard to endure and to handle and a clairvoyant has a hard time expressing what he is seeing in the Phrase of God and in the world to others. The great time-saver being so hard to endure, and having few people int he body of Christ that can endure it, makes the seer every lonely from friends that he can have a strong heart to heart conversation with. A prophet can sound to hold the whole world on his shoulders and often when not love as well as given positive edification can grow quite despondent deb depressed and even angry with the lukewarm church that he detects all over the place. Prophet's need prophets for friends, however take great pride in often stops the emerging novice prophets in exercising from forming bonds that are effective. God has a way of killer the pride out of a prophet and God may put the novice prophet in one very hot and holy flame until the prophet is humble and ready to cool down and not end up being so hot headed and judgmental of the Bride for Christ. It is only when the prophet is humble and cured and whole, that he can really do effective ministry within the body and be ready to perform every good work that the Lord provides for him. In my life, I have to say I have been very prideful and I have been crushed in a hot fire of the Master. The last intense burning took 3 years and taught myself to praise God even in the midst of intensive suffering. It is important for the prophet even if he has no one that will loves him or understands him that the LORD God approves of Him and the Lord Jesus loves The dog. The prophets lot in life is not a great one, and it also get be very intense and hurtful, and I will not ask to be a prophet if I were not one. If you can observe scripture deep, if you have been rejected for much of your life and also you are sad with how the world it could be that you are referred to as to be a prophet.
